It was sadly over 21 days so I couldn't post. That's why I had to report to re-open.
But yessss. Scalemates. My wallet will be ready this Christmas.

Whoa, guys. Update on the kickstarter!
For those of you who don't get backer info, here is what the game will NOT have:

For one thing, Sburb is a very broad and ambitious game concept which implies a project with a much bigger budget than the one this has. For another thing, that idea is not quite what an "adventure game" is. And besides, in my view, a bunch of kids playing Sburb is what Homestuck is about. This game will be about something different.
- Game will not be multi-player. Again, that's not really how adventure games work.
- No voice acting. VA in this game sounds like a can of worms to me, and too easy to do badly. I'm personally not that big on VA in games like this anyway. I think it'll be a stronger product without it.
What the game WILL have:
- New characters. All major characters in the game have never appeared in Homestuck before.
- New story. As mentioned, does not involve Sburb, but does take place within same fictional realm as Homestuck. Events of story have only a loose relation to canon HS storyline. It is not necessary to read HS to play game.
And a preview of one of the characters!
Now, what I think about this... I'm disappointed with the lack of SBURB involvement but I'm not gonna turn it down just for that. I'm still very much excited for it! Also, the preview character is a cutie. It'll also be in 3D, it looks like. :o
Re: [Webcomic] MSPA: Let me tell you about Homestuck...
If Garry's Mod and Source Film Maker machinima has taught me anything, it's that Homestuck characters look really awkward in three dimensions.
Or at least, the highly stylized "symbolic" sprites do. This Hero Mode model looks much better. Probably because it's being done by professionals and not semi-trained quasi-professionals.
Either way, lookin' pretty good there Homestar.
Re: [Webcomic] MSPA: Let me tell you about Homestuck...
Some sadness it won't be as insanely open ended, but it still looks like it'll be a game where Hussie tells a story, rather than us making the story. Perhaps in the far future we'll have computers and brainpower capable of creating a true playable SBURB game. I believe in the Huss.

Augh I KNOWWWW I WANT THOSE FIGURES.
I've known about the figures since they were first announced and I still cry at my lack of money for them.
;_;
Also, Hussie apparently has another Homestuck-related surprise coming for us...??????

I wonder what that be. Probably... a finale to Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff, therefore trolling us for a few more months while fans lose their heads figuring out what the last SBAHJ updates mean in comparison to Homestuck as a whole?

It isn't proper to buy your own tarot cards! Either you must find them through karma, or be gifted them!!

Speaking of Eridan, despite the bad grammar this pic puts into perspective his power/strength.

Re: [Webcomic] MSPA: Let me tell you about Homestuck...
I never really understood how or why people hate Eridan.
Most of the things I've heard people not liking him for could easily apply to a number of other characters.
And on that same vein, why so many people like Gamzee.

It's the mystery of fandoms, man. It all boils down to whether you yourself get why the majority hate/love a character, or you don't and just roll with it until you eventually do.
Gamzee, it's probably the fact he's essentially a pothead + clown.

Re: [Webcomic] MSPA: Let me tell you about Homestuck...
There's the part of the fandom that love Gamzee legitimately as a character (I do too, he's a piece of pomegranate but he's a great piece of pomegranate).
Then there's the part of the fandom that love him because "HE'S A MISUNDERSTOOD BABY, HE'S NOT EVIL."
guess which one is the dumber side
Same goes for Eridan.

Not sure if I count as the 1st group because I hate how much trouble he's caused for everyone, but I'll be damned if he wasn't a bastard that was responsible for so much in the story and is so unkillable.
Re: [Webcomic] MSPA: Let me tell you about Homestuck...
I saw this thread updated and thought that Hussie finally started mega dumping the last arc. So I go to bed with teary eyes and a bag full of cheetos dust, again.
