Re: Mars Landing tonight!
So just for the people who don't understand:
If we get the first signals of the starting procedure of entry and landing starting here on EARTH, the rover is already on the mars soil 7 minutes, broken or in perfect condition.
The transmission has a delay of 14minutes.
Countdown: 3hours 48minutes!!! :D
Re: Mars Landing tonight!
So finally we are gonna see if either:
A) There's rest of an ancient civilization that we can use to travel throug space-time.
B) There's an autobot in sleep mode.

Not martians, just expanding our curiosity into space like we own the solar system in general. We are getting a bit too curious for our own good imo.

Curiosity leaded us to our actual position, It's normal to be curious and 2 rovers already landed in 2005 (iirc), Spirit and his twin brother. Curiosity is only better equipped.

Well, we will finally know if we can live on Mars. And maybe we will know a bit more about the life in outer space(micro organism).

You never replied to what we should be scared of.
What could possibly happen? We're not exactly sending this to mars without knowing anything about the place, we in fact already know quite a lot of things about mars.
To me, this is purely exciting.

Is some alien life form going to spring up out of nowhere and zap us for jumping outside our own atmosphere? I think you read too many comic books and watch too many science fiction movies.
Re: Mars Landing tonight!
To give a nice beat to this thread and in honor of the exploration of space, let's put in some appropriate awesome new Dutch dance music!

Considering it took billions of years for single celled organisms to appear on this planet yea it's gonna be a while before anything of interest appears on mars.
