In February of 2018,
the Free Market was disabled in order to better support the Auction House system. In order to prevent players from losing out on any items or mesos that were stored with him, NPC Fredrick was left in-game, so that players could still retrieve those items after the Free Market's closure.
With our next update, currently scheduled for early February, we will be removing NPC Fredrick from MapleStory in order to better align the game environment with the currently active systems. Any items or mesos still being held by the NPC will subsequently be lost. Please ensure that you have retrieved all items and mesos prior to that update.
