Items Selling for Max Mesos with 1 Meso in Hired Merchant

I just observed something for the second time that I thought wasn't possible. A shop had an item sold for 1 meso but then a max meso item was sold after that.

Is there a way to either:

• "Tidy Up" one's Hired Merchant without removing a sold item from listing?
• Sell a max meso item with one meso in the Hired Merchant?

I'm pretty sure the second is impossible, but who knows. If it matters, the first time I observed this with a sold Etc. item and later a sold SE or HB Neb. This most recent time, it was a sold AEE and later a Staff.

For your first bullet, just need to click the meso icon in store.

It's not possible to purchase a max meso item if there are any mesos in the shop.

I have a related question:

In reverse of tidying up without taking items out, how do you take items out but keep meso in so you can fill up your shop and have items that cannot be bought?

Tidy up while the sum of your mesos + store mesos exceeds max. The mesos remain in shop and items get cleared.

If you don't have max mesos handy put a stack of more than 1 etc or use items up for sale. After someone buys 1 just manually remove the rest from your shop by dragging it back into your inventory.

Are you reffering to the AEE and staff thing on basil? Pretty sure someone bought the staff then the AEE.
