Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
It doesn't lower stats. At all. You can only get +0-5 on any stats on a piece of equipment if the scroll succeeds.

And you are basing this on....?

iirc, it's what kms said it did.
plus (and this is a crappy point) seems much easier to code for nekshuns
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
Someone claimed that the chaos scroll of goodness took off the w att on a branch nose that the person had scrolled on it. Those being the ones from getting three stamps on your card. Here's the thread. Not sure if they would be the same ones as the hot time ones being given out.
Anyway, that's the only thing I can find about it. Other than that, there's no proof of it subtracting or reconfiguring stats. Though, it wouldn't be the first time GMS messed up the programming for scrolls, like how 100%/special potential scrolls weren't supposed to have a chance on booming your item in the first place. I guess if this is true, then you should use it at your own risk.
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
Just use the scroll you have more thing to worry about such as; the scroll working and if you have to scissor the item to all the mules with the scroll. It wont go down i have used a couple from past events and i just used one just now and it didnt go down.
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
Mine added between +1 and +3 to every stat on the item, didn't lower anything.
Damn you Nexon for restricting players in Europe from creating new accounts. I want to use these on everything!
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
I've used about 200 of these, and never, ever have I got decreased stats.
hell, the native name is even "positive scroll of chaos"

That's a lot. Were/are they really that easy to get in KMS?

i've used three, all my growths have been 0 to 3 so far.
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
Does lucky day scroll's effect (+10% success rate) works on chaos scrolls?

It should, yes.
Used one with mine and it failed, but it was a 60% chance anyway. :I

If positive chaos scrolls work as other chaos scrolls do in terms of stat bonuses it should be the most common to get +1 and the least common to get +5 on an item (and so on). There's a thread in the game mechanics section with a graph of results as I recall.
I just used another and it failed. =( Sucks that they're so annoying/difficult to get.

Well, for a mere 2390nx you can buy a guardian scroll that would prevent your Chaos Scroll of Goodness from being used up if it fails.
Suddenly I understand why Nexon is being so generous, handing these PChaos out to everybody...

i used two and both passed, still nowhere near enough scrolls used though
Re: Chaos Scroll of Goodness
If I recall, chaos scrolls of any kind are considered "special" and don't work with diligence. So they're stuck at a 60% success rate.

Conveniently, guardian + shield scroll = 5190 NX, so you can't just charge 5k per use. If I do go ahead with dropping 70k on +7 Positive Chaos on my cape, it's gonna end up actually being more like 105k NX, since it takes nearly 5k extra per account and the positive chaoses are of course scattered over all my accounts.
Basically, they originally cost 6500 together so you'd charge 15k and have 2000 left, now they cost 5190 together so you'd charge 15k and have 4620 left. I guess it's more left but wtp do I do with 4600 NX on my mule accounts.
edit: I'm a dumbass and would have corrected myself if the forum didn't stop responding. You can use both guardian scrolls and shield scrolls on the item - so it just has to be traded back and forth to the central account every time.
