i'd understand it a lot more if it was like, some sort of ultra-high awesome box of awesomeness filled with stuff (see: starcraft), but a regular box with just the game...?

Exactly, yeah.

I can SORTA understand like, special $100+ collectors editions or something like that, which usually has special stuff. but a normal box just seems.. why.

The reviewer states that the FF series struck out big with this game, however he doesn't really shed the nostalgia goggles on the older installments. I'm curious as to which Final Fantasies he felt had the 'best' stories that didn't decline into being a dramatic stage play of the blatantly surreal. Also, fighting a god-like creature as the final boss battle is the norm in the FF series. Not to mention an incoming cataclysm is the theme for the second half of almost all games.

I saw someone unbox a limited edition figure from some event that they got online for like ~$200. And then they started crying when they realized it was broken.

DarkSydePhil's recurring theme is being confused about the most obvious things. Then screaming complaints about how non-obvious the obvious thing was.

when i was watching the video i was thinking "yep, this guy hasn't played the previous two games"

This is just him trying to do crouch jumps. He's... like a train running the same track hitting the same wall 50 times a day.

bonus points if you noticed he doesn't screen capture with a capture card but instead with a camera.
