magician and warrior hyper skill question
As KMS had launched their hyper skill system, here is some question i wish to ask,
1. the NEW secondary weapon release on kms do take up the shield slot, does it mean the shield for mage and warrior will be useless after hyper skill release?
2. if we don't equip the New secondary weapon, can we use hyper skill ?
3. considering a pala will need a shield for shield skill to work out, if pala use new secondary weapon, mean no shield skill will active?
in short, choose hyper skill or shield skill?
Re: magician and warrior hyper skill question
1. Yes, It does take up the shield slot, but to compensate, they made shields able to have weapon potentials as well as the secondary weapons.
2. You do not need the secondary weapon to use hyper skills.

1. You can use either Shield or Secondary weapon, but not both.
Secondary weapons DO NOT have slots but can have potential.
Post-secondary weapons update, Shields now gain weapon potential instead, meaning you can get % boss damage & stuff on them.
I wouldn't say useless, since you can scroll shields for attack/magic. Skills that require a shield will only work with a shield, and not a secondary weapon, such as Shield Mastery and Guardian.
2. You should be able to use Hyper Skills with just primary weapon(unless you're a DB which of course requires a Katara usually).
3. Guardian won't activate if you use a Secondary instead of a Shield. Shield Mastery won't apply either. For a Paladin, it's probably best to use a Shield due to their shield based defensive skills.

Ah, that's good. I don't suppose scrolls for shield for m.atk will become any commoner? ;_;

Re: magician and warrior hyper skill question
1. Shields are still a better option for 1H weapon users.
2. Even if you don't equip a shield, all hyper skills can be used.
3.After Hyper patch, Shadower and Paladins' shield masteries have a passive attack buff (10 W. Att).
And as people above said, shields can now have weapon potentials.
You don't need to choose between a secondary weap and a shield for a Paladin: the shield is yo friend :3
Re: magician and warrior hyper skill question
I think Yoonie kinda already answered my question, but I'm guessing I should keep my shield, considering I've already scrolled it and it's unique atm?

Oh then it can get boss damage so ofc keep it. 1/2 less ranks you have to pass when secondary weapon comes out.
