Re: Halloween Contest - Coolest
i'll just post here, i'm having so many issues picking one of the two i'm thinking for coolest, hrrrnnngh.
also, one of those is pretty easy to determine who submitted :f3:
Re: Halloween Contest - Coolest
Kinda lame I can guess who made most of them so I chose the one which I didn't know. Coincidentally, it was a pretty cool one.

Yeah, because I was doing what Keith intended people to do before he made it optional. :f3: It is an avatar contest, after all.

i... wouldn't call that cool, i'm glad it's winning for what i designed it though, as ugly as that hair is placed, and that it wasn't easy to identify with me. :U

i never said it was bad, just that it was easy to determine xD i actually liked it a lot, but was between it and Super saiyan full metal alchemist. ended up chosing the other one just because it had more effects ._.

Am I the only one who used his complete real character?
I thought that was a must haha.

If you mean character in costume, I did too. :P I would think it wouldn't be that surprising to figure out who did which by their characters alone, but it looks like some didn't stick by that rule.

Oh well, it was fun making it at least.

Cool and scary are synonyms.

You did 100x better than me so I wouldn't worry about that at all.

That's my real character. Obviously clothes are changed for costume purposes.
Yay for those that are actually using the avatar!
It's kind of sad that the Scariest and Cutest are such runaway votes. LF>more participants

Perhaps more people would have voted if it weren't a public poll.

You misunderstood; let me rephrase. I wish there were more participants in the avatar creation. No comment on the small number of voters...

Nope. Most people never look here. Forum events rank strongly as a "who cares" amongst our viewership.
This is why every time someone complains we don't do them and we try to do them again we get disappointed.
Look at their traffic after a week;
threadid | total | unique | users |
---|
60732 | 162 | 83 | 56 |
60733 | 164 | 85 | 59 |
60734 | 661 | 142 | 82 |
Compared to an extraction thread that's been up less than 12 hours;
threadid | total | unique | users |
---|
60787 | 775 | 395 | 125 |
Or the State of the Southperry thread that's only been a day longer than the votes and had equal treatment (tweeting, no force read);
threadid | total | unique | users |
---|
60716 | 4045 | 499 | 218 |
This sort of discouraging participation is what the Event Committee has to face and overcome to get people more interested and involved.
