Anyone play the original Half-Life?

Well, a Source engine fan remake has been in the works for at least three years, and it's finally being released within the next two weeks.

I don't really know much about Half-Life, but what's the difference between this and Half-Life: Source?

Black Mesa is a total remake of Half-Life: Source from the ground up, from textures to lighting to voice acting. The only thing that doesn't change is the storyline.

Just compare these two vids to see how big of a difference. Top is original HL:Source and the bottom is Black Mesa:

It's a Half-Life 2 mod, so you'll need Half-Life 2 to run it.

Really? I remember them saying you only need some Source Engine from Valve that you can download totally for free... Need to check again.
