No fix for miwork event glitch with 13 channel worlds?
-
Re: Scheduled Server Maintenance - April 25, 2012
Could also hope for the other little goof-up Nexon had with having left the Miwok rescue counter in Korean.
-
Re: Scheduled Server Maintenance - April 25, 2012
No fix for the silent crusade DC glitch either :l

Re: Scheduled Server Maintenance - April 25, 2012
The number of bugs that have been fixed silently over Maples lifespan is so much bigger than the ones they post that it is not even funny.

er... theyre really vocal about everything they do right, and completely silent on everything in progress / they cant do anything about
any silent bug fixes would come from exclusive content being pushed through in house testing

Compare the amount of bugs/hacks fixed without notice and the ones proclaimed in patch/maintenance notes over time. Yea, the silent ones win by astronomical amounts.
How the fixes come to be is also pretty irrelevant.

It's only irrelevant in the immediate consequences. If they really don't notice these bugs and fix them only by accident... that certainly indicates a larger problem which inhibits timely addressment of the issues in the future.
I'm still not sure if I should be pleased or frightened when things like Codex pdr are fixed without even a whisper about acknowledging or fixing the problem.

Who cares if it was NexonNA or NexonKR, it was still an "Under the radar" fix.

Since by all reports KMS and JMS never had this problem to begin with... who else could it be? :f6:

ok, ignoring that 1) i doubt they knew about it and 2) it wasnt as much of a fixed bug as it was an overwritten one rolled over from the kms updates... its 1 bug. we still have a mountain of silent bug fixes to go before i believe the list is longer than the vocalized fixes. every time there is a USC, its pretty much always a bug fix they at least mention in passing like "hey were fixing a problem with the event quest herp".

I agree. When dealing with mountains of code, especially code that NexonAm devs (if they even exist), didn't write there are a lot of unintended consequences like occasionally fixing bugs that you didn't even know existed.
The long term problem, in my experience as software test, is that the unintended fixes are rarely permanent and are symptomatic of fundamental misunderstandings of the way the code functions which will lead to far more new errors than fixes.

Re: Scheduled Server Maintenance - April 25, 2012
Game's up, there's a 7.5 MB patch. I wonder what Nexon did :f6:
EDIT: Whatever Nexon did, my character's idle animation abruptly resets every few seconds.

Patch made it so hackers need your ign again if they want to police empress.
