Apparently they are releasing a new trailer (full theatric) during Monday Night football (5:30 PM pst???). This will also be when pre-sale tickets become available so get ready for the hype everyone!
I watched it about 6 times with my roommates. We've already got our tickets as well. Sadly I couldn't get any 7PM shows because of the constant crashing, but I did get 9:15 so it will hopefully be a spoiler free evening.
There are so many little details I could talk about, but I'll just give my general impression. This trailer offered a ton more information than the previous two, but didn't really have the same emotional impact. The hype is real, but the second trailer really got to me in ways this one couldn't.

Re: Star Wars Episode 7 Trailer 3 and Tickets
My son watched the movie last night with a bunch of classmates. He loved it. He told me I must watch it.
For reference, he's 15 years old and has never seen any of the previous 6. He wanted to watch at least the original trilogy before going to see 7, but just could not get through the first ten minutes of Episode 4. "Bad fight scene effects, boring robots walking in the desert, C3PO is annoying." (Yes, I know, I fail as a parent.)
His classmates, who did see at least some of the previous 6, loved 7 as well.

The movie was AMAZING. I rewatched all 6 movies before going to the premier, I had quite the expectations, and this movie managed to overcome every single one of them.
Brutal lightsaber duel, amazing Resistance vs. First Order battles, and the new generation of actors were all spot on. Kylo Ren was excellent as the movies' main villain.
Of note, I am someone who grew up with the Prequels, and loves all 6. This movie I can easily place next to Episode 5 and 3, which are my favorites.
I will be watching it again today. Go see Episode 7 Southperry.

As one of the biggest Star Wars fans in existence, I liked it but did not love it. Daisy (Rey) and BB-8 stole the show in a phenomenal way and there's a lot of potential for the rest of the cast. I went with a couple of friends, including my GF who has only seen episode 4, and they all loved it. My main complaint is it's such a transitional film. Every other movie stands on it's own merits while the Force Awakens spends a significant amount of time setting up the next movie and trying to plaster over a few holes from the past. I think JJ made a slight mistake in departing from Lucas' admittedly formulaic hero's journey. Star Wars has always been clean and had a strong focus with the plot. This movie felt a little busy at times and yet I was left with far more questions than answers about the state of the SW universe as a whole.
The lightsaber duel was a bit lackluster even compared with Luke v Vader in Ep V. I get that both are young and untrained, but still. I wasn't really able to buy into it until /* Rey */ really got in the zone. Kylo Ren just wreaks of Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. Since I have mixed feelings about Hayden Christian's performance there to this day, I have some of the same feelings about Kylo Ren. I do think his conversion moment was much better in both acting execution and writing. I predict that he will make a badass Vader replacement in VIII and we'll get to see a lot more of the flashy powers and duels from the prequels.
I think most of these complaints and concerns will evaporate with VIII.
Minor Gripes
1. It's a Deathstar but bigger!
2. Why are there no A, Y, or B wings?
3. Poe Dameron most OP character confirmed.
4. Captain Phasma had a much smaller role than expected.
5. What happened to the Falcon's top turret?
6. Why the hell does the Rebellion (now the Resistance?) have even fewer ships than during A New Hope?
Speculation
1. So Ren is Luke's daughter? Does she have a fiery red head mother?
2. They blew up Coruscant? It seemed like the Republic city world, but not explicit at all.
3. I kind of got a Great and Powerful Oz vibe from Snoke. I think his size is probably an exaggeration like Palpatine did in The Empire Strikes Back. There's some intriguing implications to having an alien lead the First Order.
4. Maz Kanata as a Yoda like figure? I'm not sure if they just meant her to be wise and worldly but I almost wonder if she's force sensitive even if she isn't a Jedi.
5. No mention of the Knights of Ren at all?
6. I wonder why they didn't resuse a single planet form the previous movies.

Spoiler
It wasn't Coruscant. In the new books it's explained the Republic will be built a new in the home planet of the Chancellor Mon-Mothma. The main reason the Republic is simply a supporter of the resistance and not the major Rebellion in the movie is because the Senate promise a relative fighting free goverment, distancing themselves from the conflict.
I also believe Ren is Luke's daughter, although I do not think HE knew or knows he has a daughter.
I completly disagree with your thoughts on the lightsaber duel. The fact that Kylo is still training made it all the most amazing for me. His style and how he first begins destroying Finn felt very powerful on screen. And how Rey just feels the force and then BOOM with the power was amazing.
I also think Episode 8 will likely prove to be a stronger film.

Huh. I guess I'll have to read the books afterall. I originally didn't want to spoil/prejudice myself with the new movie. I'm still not sure what level of cannon new EU material will have. I'm going to be very annoyed if they constantly retcon it after I read. It seems incredibly naive to believe they can just create a war free Republic without defeating the Empire remnants.
Good point about Rey, but it doesn't quite fit. Rey explicitly talks about the water world and island. She's been there before as a child. It also appeared to me that Luke recognizes her. How and why Ren is left on Jakuu is certainly intriguing.
My friends disagreed about the duel as well so I'll have to concede the point as personal opinion. It's not that I disliked it per se, but I think it could have been more spectacular.
I just did some poking around /r/starwars and there are some interesting theories about Snokes being Darth Plagues. I don't buy it. I didn't even think he looked human, but I suppose Palpatine didn't really either in ESB. JJ went really out of his way to distance FA material from the PT and OT worlds and characters, excepting the big 3 obviously. I do think there's something fishy (pun intended) about him. I wonder if he's even actually a Sith or dark side user at all. They explicitly don't use Darth titles. Yes Snokes says Ben needs to complete his training, but I don't think he explicitly said he would do the teaching. Even if he did, I wonder if he could be crippled somehow and unable to use his powers but still able to teach.

Disney just wanted to give free reign to the filmmakers by rectonning it. The new ones go quite a bit into detail for the path set by TFA.
About Snoke, my personal theory is that he is an original Sith, from the Sith species that the fallen Jedi took over millenia ago. Could certainly make it all the more interesting. Darth Plageuis wasn't human at all as well. He was of the Banking Clan species.

I understand why they did it. I even agree with it. The EU had way too much baggage and poor writing. It would have been a serious handicap to any director, although I maintain there's a mountain of money in a X-wing novel/comic based TV series.
That occurred to me as well, but he certainly doesn't resemble the red/black skinned depiction we have from the EU. He's notably missing the weird chin stuff. He actually does resemble the Muun a bit imo, but I really can't see them keeping something so specific from the EU. I wasn't actually complaining that a Sith was alien (can't forget Darth (?) Maul), but that an alien would be leading an exclusively human male navy of Empire soldiers. The PT clones and OT army always had a Nazi feel to them and that was part of why they appeared so evil. Putting an alien, even a possibly force sensitive one, at the top of the pyramid is a little puzzling. Maybe Finn (black) and Captin Phasma (woman) are meant to show the First Order is much more egalitarian? There was also an offhand comment about clones that I didn't quite catch.
PS: Giant plot hole. If the starkiller fired the first shots to destroy the new Republic, how did it have a spare sun for a second shot? Is this a mobile planet weapon?

The clone comment was about Kylo suggesting they would be more loyal than the taken as babies Stormtroopers Hux employs.
And I mean, it's not like there are systems with 2 suns or more, you know, like maybe Tatooine. (They actually never go into detail about Starkiller weapon, should be fun to know.)

Star Wars: The Force Awakens blasts off with a record $120.5 million
Playing in 4,134 theaters domestically, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has posted an estimated $120.5 million its first day, including $57 million in Thursday evening previews, making it the highest single day on record and the first film to break the $100 million mark in a single day. Walt Disney Pictures is forecasting an opening weekend near $220 million.
I went with my parents today, and some kid spoiled it loudly right before it began. He and his friends got permanently banned though.
It sucks that so many people desire to ruin it for so many others.

Re: Star Wars Episode 7 Trailer 3 and Tickets
Saw it yesterday and loved it as well.
My Review
Good:
+ They kept the good old opening crawl. Didn't see Disney logo anywhere.
+ Original cast. Enough said.
+ CGI was not overused
+ I really like Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. I had fears he would just be a Vader 2.0, but I'm happy I was wrong. He seems to be suffering from some sort of dissociative identity disorder and having anger issues which makes him interesting and unpredictable. I like how he went totally nuts a few times and just started wrecking things up with his lightsaber. Speaking of his lightsaber, I like how the blade is just as unstable as Kylo Ren himself. He seems to master force when it comes to telekinetic tricks (he freaking stops a laser blast in mid-air with not much effort). On the other hand he didn't seem to be very well trained to use a lightsaber (Rey could easily match him with just some staff fighting experience).
+ Snoke: We need some ultimate mastermind behind all this because -lets be honest- Kylo Ren and Hux are kind of wannabes still..
+ Humor. Just gotta love those droids.
+ First time we see a non-jedi fighting with a lightsaber
+ Rey: Clearly the new main character. They didn't reveal much about her yet, but the acting was great. Those scenes about her life in Jakku were a good breather from the constant action scenes.
+ Finn: Great acting as well. I have a feeling he won't become a jedi though. Han Solo replacement?
+ Was that Admiral Ackbar in the film?
+ Luke looks freaking badass
+ Bonus points for nostalgia Bad:
- Yet another death star-esque base/superweapon that gets destroyed the same way as twice before. This trope isn't enough to ruin the movie for me though. I actually feel like this movie wasn't really about that at all. It's about introducing the new heroes and villains while acknowledging the past. Abrams probably just felt he had to give some kind of ending for a movie that left almost everything else open for the next movies. I hope Episode 8 moves the saga forward and takes more risks, for better or worse.
- Captain Phasma. Honestly didn't understand her role in the film, if there was one it was left very one-dimensional.
Score: 4.5/5 Stars
Snoke Speculation (Why I believe Snoke is X)
I would be disappointed if Snoke doesn't turn out to be Darth Plagueis and is just some weird alien sith that came from nowhere. I feel like there's too many clues, like what Darth Sidious tells Anakin in Revenge of the Sith:
"Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."
Maybe he did save himself but was too weak to revenge his apprentice (that or he aknowledged Sidious deserved to be the master now that he had been "defeated"). Instead he hid his presence in the force from Sidious and went into hiding until the collapse of the empire that he perhaps was able to foresee. Notice the huge scar in Snokes face and deformed other half: http://www.teepr.com/wp-content/uplo...0732881-11.jpg
Some would argue that he lacks the features of the alien race Plagueis was (Muun), but isn't that non-canon anyway?
But wait there's more. Apparently the soundtrack of the palpatine & anakin scene is a replica of Snokes theme in TFA.

Movie worth seeing in theaters, but opening night? Absolutely not worth the trouble imo. I share similar complaints, hated the villain, and the lightsaber fights were beyond poorly choreographed, it was painful to watch

TBH memories grow sweeter with time. I watched the originals first time in many years and well... The lightsaber fights are kind of anticlimactic by todays standards and the dialogue is cringeworthy at times. Just look at this:

Agreed. I liked the fight because it shows that Kylo Ren is still as brutal with a major wound and has much to train, and that Rey is untrained as well. Made for some different kind of lightsaber duel, which I enjoyed.
@Khaini, This movie, while loved by many, certainly has split people over the villain. I think that many expected him to be another Vader, while Kylo is both young and unexperienced (Much like Anakin in Episode 2 and 3). Can't wait to see the character grow for Episode 8.

Look at the swipes, they are quick, they are angled, they are weightless. The saber fights in the movie were heavy cleaves, as if they were wielding great swords. So no, you're just not looking at the right things.

This really wasn't a training issue, and he pretty much completed his training, save for the 'final step' so this whole concept of "THEY WERENT TRAINED" doesn't justify the fact they made light sabers act like they are 100+ lb's. The villain was whiney and unlikable just like anakin and luke were, but had no intimidating quality what so ever with no justification of his suit to begin with. He literally had no similar qualities to either family either, the guy genuinely looks like he belongs in twlight.
Spoiler
Also Chewi's rage was f`ucking pathetic. The guy should have gone rabid bigfoot, and all we got is a longer yell than what were used too. He should have died as well, I have no idea what the hell they were thinking. Lastly fu`cking RD2, that scene was the biggest asspull that it made Bleach blush

You are literally complaning that the lightsaber duel wasn't the same as a 63 year old trained Jedi Master against a 40 something Sith Lord compared to a Fallen Padawan with a hole on his torso from a Crossbow that literally sent stormtroopers away using a cross guard unstable lightsaber against a girl with nothing but The Force and some basic -staff- training? Okay fine, let's ignore all the context, why not.
There is no middle ground on the Kylo Ren actor though, I liked a lot how he wasn't the perfect villain just yet and that he wasn't a model.
