Min/Max Crit + %Boss Damage?
Just 2 simple questions. I've tried searching, but either the stuff is outdated or I find conflicting information.
What is Minimum and Maximum Crit multipliers? And do they vary by class? I've seen sources that certain classes have like 1.4x~1.5x but others have 1.1x~1.7x. I know there are various skills that contribute such as Sharp Eyes, Magic Critical, etc. so I'm kind of looking for a base number.
How do you calculate boss damage into determining which is better? Such as 20% Boss vs 50% Ignore. I can run my own calculations for each boss, I just don;t know if I apply it like PDR, TD, or when I apply. I also want to kinda see the difference in "damage" from like 20% vs 25% boss and such.
Re: Min/Max Crit + %Boss Damage?
critical is 120~150% for all classes, some classes have passives that raise these numbers, but they're the same base for all.
explain the second question please? i can't understand it

Um...

That post shows kinda how to calculate %Crit [apparently wrong] vs %TD vs %Ignore... but how about factoring in %boss?
Like if I had a choice between 50% Ignore or 20% Boss, at what point, if any would the Boss > Ignore?
Is it simply... (1+NewBoss)/(1+OldBoss) ? So a 20% Boss would be a flat out 20% increase? Or does it like completely negate part of PDR? So 20% Boss on a 70% PDR boss would make it 50% PDR so then if I had say 20% ignore, I would be against a 40% PDR?
Re: Min/Max Crit + %Boss Damage?
If I deciphered that correctly maybe I can help you with an example :O
Example of a 40% PDR mob.
If you already have 20% PDR & 30% boss damage. Let's say you want to know if a 30% ignore or 30% boss is better:
if you go with 30% ignore... you'll have 50% ignore and 30% boss.
That let's you ignore 50% of their 40% PDR.. which brings them down to 20% PDR... meaning you do 80% damage on them.
You then apply 30% boss damage to deal 80%*1.3= 104% damage.
If you go with 30% boss you'll end up at 20% PDR and 60% boss.
You'll ignore 20% of their 40% PDR (20%*40%=8%) ... meaning they'll drop down to 32%.... and that you'll only deal 68%
But then you apply 60% boss damage so... 68%*1.6=108.8% damage
So 30% boss is marginally better in that specific situation.

Looks like what I need...
So its (1 - (PDR - %Ignore))*(1+%Boss)
(I think I typed that right.. If not, its cause I'm 90% asleep right now)
Re: Min/Max Crit + %Boss Damage?
base is 120~150%
bam's have battle mastery in third job: min critical damage +20%
120+20=140
bam's have 140~150% critical damage.
simple as that.

(1 - (PDR*(1-%ignore)))*(1+boss%)
Ex: 30% PDR mob.... and you have 20% ignore... no boss for this example.
(1-(30%*(1-20%)))
=(1-(30%*80%))
=1-24%
=76%
