Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
Recently I cubed a potential line of Decent SE on my level 120 Reverse gloves. I wasn't aware that you couldn't equip SE glove> Buff > unequip SE glove> and keep the skill on the keyboard without it going away like a long time ago. I did some Googling on how to work around this issue and I only came across this thread on Basil:
http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/173...#comments_list
according to the comments, it is apparently possible to keep the skill on your keyboard only if you equip the glove, hotkey SE, then drop the glove out of your equip window (destroying the glove basically). I noticed this was posted on 2010 and wanted to know if this method still works or if there are any other alternatives to keeping SE on my keys.
Thanks for your help in advanced.
Maybe @Green4Ever; can shed some light on this for me?
Re: Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
That thread is super outdated.
You can no longer use the skill when it's bound on your keyboard unless you actually have the item equipped, meaning you have to equip -> buff -> switch back to your other glove.
Re: Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
Oh wow that sucks, I hate having to open the skill window just to manually click SE. Guess I'll just buy a Neb then. Thanks for clarifying, though!
Re: Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
Put the decent skill on Macro.
Then bound the Macro on to your keyboard.
No need to click the skill each time :P

Recently i noticed that they fixed it so that if you just use the raw icon it won't stick to your keyboard if you take the item off.
This information saved me, thank you.

This helped a bunch! Thank you!
Re: Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
Skills don't disappear from macros unless their ID's disappear, so that helps
Re: Need Confirmation on Decent Skills
wouldn't the icon reappear if you wear the gloves and open your key settings? :f6:
provided it isn't on any hot keys or those that you can see when your screen resolution is at the biggest

Did they change the DSE/DHB nebulite IDs then? My macros don't have them anymore on characters that used to have them (unusable but still hotkeyed)

Nope, twas fixed.
Well, maybe. I don't think the keys i had them on were hot keys, but they definitely don't act the way they have since the glitch fix.

My Mercedes still has DSE/HB on a macro from before, but it does not do anything, its just there.

If you have it quickslotted, it'll disappear for good until you reequip the skill (not the armor), so macros work best.
