Ladies and gentlemen, I'm viewing E3 live right now and I figure I'll update everyone that cares with whats going on. I'll post anything huge right away.

Xbox 360 is getting avatars
Netflix has formed a partnership with Microsoft, so you can watch any movie on XBox live
XBox is getting a community set-up with the avatars, so you can have 8 people in a room chatting at once via avatar
You can stream movies via Netflix to everyone in a room that you're friends with, so they can watch the movie with you at the same time (thats fucking insane)
Lots of games are coming out this Fall, to include XNA games, Game Show games, XBox 360 games (soooo getting viva pinata)
Rock Band 2 songlist was shown. Bob Dylan FTW.
Square is releasing 3 RPGs specifically for the 360...and then hit us with a bombshell that FFXIII is coming to the 360

I think those are the big ones from the Microsoft showing...great stuff.

The trailer for FFXIII was awesome...thought it was maybe Dragon Quest or something (though the graphics didnt exactly match up) and then...wham...main character from FFXIII. Was awesome.

Omg. Yeah, can we get a Golden Sun 3? I'm watching a recording of the Microsoft Press Conference right now. All the news is amazing. Resident Evil 5 got a release date. News about Guitar Hero 4. Fallout 3 looks amazing, I first thought it was a Bioshock sequal. I can't wait until the fall update. Online parties with 8 people, watching movies though Netflix? That's freaking amazing.

I just got done with my frustration at Nintendo. Dear...god...

Alright, Nintendo has pretty much shot themself in the face. Not even the foot this time. The face. Why?

1) Half the Wii games announced (probably more towards 2/3rds) require the wii fit pad. The new snowboarding game requires the ability to stand on it and move while balancing yourself. Good luck to any gamer that's not great with balance or is out of shape.
2) The Wii MotionPlus, or the Wii "What the controller should have been from the start"...yeah, it makes the Wii controller more responsive to motion, etc etc...great, where was this two years ago?
3) Wii Music. Or, "How to play air (fill in the blank) while your Mii's and your Wii do the work for you". Yes, the object of the game is just to move around like you're playing, while the game ACTUALLY plays it for you. You don't have to play in rythym. You don't play specific notes. If you want to know how this works, turn on a music video, grab your Wiimote and Nunchuck, and play air guitar while holding it. You've effectively beta tested Wii Music.
4) The first 30 minutes was all about how well the Wii and DS were doing. Great. Noone gives a shit. Move it along, tell us why the Wii and DS WONT tank in the next year.
5) I should have known that after Reggie called Animal Crossing a "Hardcore Game" that he was delusional. He promised alot of surprises for hardcore gamers, and delivered a whopping total of none. GTA for DS? Animal Crossing? Wii Sports Resort? Howsabout Zelda? Kid Icarus? EARTHBOUND?

Every single site that was blogging on it shows how disappointed they are. I got to see the event live and I was heavily disappointed. What the hell? And I think they need to check their facts...stating the Wii has a bigger library than the PS3 and the XBox 360...right. Lies. All lies. I'm actually, for the first time ever, not disappointed in myself for selling my Wii.

Wow Willow. That really sucks. I've had a Wii since launch, and have did nothing with it. If there aren't any real good games coming out, I'mma get rid of it. The whole idea of the Wii Fit Board seems really Childish and I don't plan on getting one.

Nothing much yet on PS3 except that Little Big Planet did a keynote on Playstation's records and it was nothing short of awesome. They're talking about the Playstation Network now.

Ah, I started my recording of the coverage that G4 is doing like an hour ago. Nintendo is going over their projected sales and shit, which puts them in the lead. It's not a surprise. Animal Crossing doesn't look bad, the DS game was a lot of fun.

They're showing off the new Wii Sports Resort. Katana Battles looks reallllllyyy fun. XD I like the whole idea of using the DS outside of games. Using a DS in a Ballpark, and even in an airport would be amazing.

why wouldn't FF13 come out for the PS3? It was advertised for the PS3 before the PS3 was even released. Just because they showed it on the XBox360 doesnt mean the PS3 isnt getting it.

Just wait, the air drums wont be as cool when you find out it plays them for you while you just wiggle around. You can wiggle in any direction and it would play the right stuff for you.

And PS3 is getting it, but with 360 getting it, the PS3 lost another game that was a huge "exclusive" to them. It also shows that Squaresoft has less faith in the PS3 than Sony would like.

Yeah Willow. I'm realizing it's going to be extremely gimmicky now. They just went though like 7 instruments and just failed their arms around and it played notes. What a shame, Nintendo isn't winning me over right now.

Lmao, Sony is losing exclusives left and right. That's good though, because I have a 360. The only reason I'll actually go out and buy a Ps3 is for Kingdom Hearts 3 or God of War 3.

PS3 has a decent line-up. Nothing gimmicky like the Wii. Still, God of War 3 was confirmed and Resistance 2 had an INSANE sequence with the fight against the leviathan. Little Big Planet gave an interesting display. They even had a shot at XBox Live and the Wii Shop by stating they weren't going to fill the PSN with games that noone wanted to play (as opposed to the tons of "meh" level games on XBox Live arcade and Wii Shop). The games look pretty decent. Nothing surprising enough to top the FFXIII on XBox announcement, but it looks like they're going to do ok. Second Lif---I mean, Home, was delayed again. But in the end, they did decent. Not bad, but not amazing. Better than Nintendo. Not as good as XBox.

Okay. I'm like half way though the Sony conference and so far I'm pretty excited. Still waiting for that God of War 3 news though. I cannot believe they just announced a Ps2 Lego Batman bundle, why are they still wasting their time with the Ps2? I don't want a new Ps2 bundle, I'd like a cheaper Ps3, or some good games. Little Big Planet and Resistance 2 look amazing, and could definitely make me get a Ps3.

Okay, I finished Sony's Conference. Wow, that was sooooo boring. The Little Big Planet demonstration on their sales and stuff was amazing. I recorded all 3 press conferences, Sony's was the only one I actually fast forwarded though, I couldn't bare it.

Resistance 2, Little Big Planet and God of War 3 are the only things really worth mentions. That stupid Home thing is like Second life, exactly what Willow said. Lol, I couldn't believe they announced a new Ps2 bundle, that really made me laugh. The the Psp, who cares. Nothing really interested me more than those 3 titles.

Also, I thought it was kind of funny that they released the Video store. They don't stand a chance against Microsoft. MS won the Multimedia part of the console wars, from their Market place to the partnership with Netflix, to watching a movie online with 7 other friends.

Microsoft came out the real winner of E3. Nintendo provided some interesting new things, while Sony didn't do much in my opinion.

Nintendo actually has a huge convention to celebrate 20 years of Nintendo Power (I am in Massachusetts, so I may attend.) in New York sometime early September.
Perhaps they are saving some of the real updates for that. (YA RITE)

In any case, I am a firm believer that gaming is meant for the PC, so aside from the 360-only portal thinger, I don't really care. <_<

My thoughts exactly. I thought I was being slick by waiting and getting the MGS4 80 gig package, so I could wait for XIII and Versus XIII, and it looks like XIII is coming to 360. There was no reason for a PS3. T.T

Uhh... yeah , you must have missed something, because last I checked lots of people bought it for other games, e.g. Wii fit which is almost constantly out of stock (in the UK anyway), and surprisingly, Hardcore gamers are not the only target nintendo has now.

And when you consider that 'casual' gamers aren't going to be very likely to buy another system, I don't expect the wii to replaced at any time before 2012.
