View Full Version : Energy Orb Glitch
Ok, so... I was playing around in Henesys Hunting Grounds 1 in JMS when I discovered this glitch :

I found out a little later that it happens after I jump-down. The weird thing is, I think it may have something to do with my new hair style, which I just got not too long before this. Has anyone else experienced this glitch? :f6:

HOLY PINEAPPLE. If anyone can get my character looking like that in a picture big enough for a forum avatar i'll give them the best lay of their lives.
I don't think anyone's screwed around with/has many points in orb to try and discover that. o_o
I fail to see what is going on here.

Glitch = glowing. It's not obvious? o_o
Maybe it has to do with your bar glowing as you are...
I don't even have a point in Orb. Kinda hard for me to see a difference in it's use, yes?

That's awesome
I only have one point in Energy Orb, so the level doesn't make any difference. As for the glitch, the character isn't supposed to glow like that. The character is only supposed to have a glowing like behind it. I don't have the screen shot I had of it, so I can't show you what it looks like at the moment normally.

In that case it's probably just bad layering. The character is being rendered behind the glow instead of in front of it. I'm guessing jump down messes around with the layer positions in some way.

Kinda like how jump downing in PSs makes you unable to see/pick up drops for a second.

The glitch is almost as useless as the skill!

Nah, that's just because their server code doesn't render drops until they're on (or almost on) your screen, so when your screen suddenly shifts downward, you have to wait for them to load before you can see them. Happens in the official server too, but it keeps track of an area larger than your screen, so for the most part the drops are done loading before they're within your screen.

The glitch looks like meh. BTW can it be a problem with your graphics card?
@Sn1perJohne Those swastikas are is not the Nazi Germany swastika, so it should have a peaceful meaning.

Probably, since there's a glitch in the bowman job advance place where you can jump down and end up behind a bunch of the background (like the stairs and door).

if that is a glitch then it is a useless one

Those aren't swastikas. They're Manjis, a hindu/buddhist symbol for peace. Note the difference :
Swastika : 卐
Manji : 卍

lolwha?
Glitch = error. Errors don't need to be useful.

Maybe it only works without a hat? Interesting, albeit useless glitch. Like how Pages did not get a sound for Power Guard until recently while Fighters had it since day 1. Dohohohohoh.
