Carnival Absurdum

Extra: Could involve that scary woman dream couldn't you?

Extra: That closet woman dream?

Extra: Nah. That's pretty much it dream.

Part I: Carnival --> Wheel of rotation --> Some very, very different high school prototypical characters go in --> Not your ordinary ride --> come out switched.

Part II: Initiate in detective work to find out who the culprit is --> everyone suspects the person who has the most to gain --> idea: even if you managed to steal a diamond, would you be able to sell it? --> everything becomes a bit absurd. Everyone tries to live the others lives and finds it an entirely new experience. --> They get over immaturity and childishness. They find meaning within discovering their new roles and they learn to internalize the good concepts they find from each others life.

Part III: The characters examine the dialogue that has transpired and discover that there's something that doesn't quite fit --> One of the characters is really the culprit in disguise --> the culprit manages to retreat back to the carnival and manages to escape into another world. The class of kids follow him immediately in pursuit. Unsure of what awaits them.

Surreal [something missing]

Overall: This is an excuse to engage in a adult-revised Digimon storyline that is incredibly more morbid and deeper than the adventure they went through.

Comparable To: Narnia? No. Not at all. Harry Potter? No. Still not absurd enough.

Things to Watch Out For: Will it be so abstract the people will become unable to relate to it?

Note: I'll try to make Carnival Absurdum so full of typical cliches that Surreal "____" will serve as a stark contrast. Whereas Carnival Absurdum will promote the idea of something foreign happening to our everyday world, Surreal "____" will promote the idea that normal people are within a completely foreign world and trying to make the best of it.

PS: You already know how a majority of the development is going from here. You know it all to well. You're probably going to include the idea of Thebes: elaborate and make this sexy. Include Greek mythology? Er... maybe. I might look into more along the lines of Persephone and Jason and his Golden Fleece if I have time. I always thought those two were pretty interesting.

The culprit finds out that he is only a mortal being. He begins to break down and frankly tries to destroy the world in his immense confusion about who he is and what he stands for.

I want to call this something like Armageddon but this is just too typical.

The kids try to stop the culprit from ruining everyone. This basically turns into something very abstract which reconnects with the beginning of the story. A full circle ultimately comes into play and mysteries in the beginning of the story and covered at the end.

There are several Deus Ex Machina elements.
