Welcome to another of my locales. First off, if you were wondering why the Sleepy Woods had no story whatsoever, put simply, the Woods themselves had no actual story, other than some generic quests. This, on the other hand, is Helvetia, and if you remember my first thread (http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8171), I love crafting intricate details. I will come back to Sleepy, but it will be to craft Blackheart Citadel, which is far more important. Now then, whats here?

rMST .25 (2-22-09): First attempt at Maps, no monster data yet
rMST .26 (2-26-09): Some quotes set down
rMST .27 (2-27-09): Monster Spawn points added, Isaac's Notes event in testing
rMST .28 (3-1-09): Intro, one Quote added

The Windblown Ruins ~ Once the great city of Saravim, now a derelict of crumbling buildings caused by neglect and more recently, the Nighthawk Seiges. Among these ruins you will find Nighthawks and members of the Saravim Clergy fighting, but rumors of a third party and a monstrous... something... also abound....

To the east of Saravim lies the Great Expanse, once the peaceful farmlands that helped to feed the once chaotic Maple World, now the sight of Nighthawk movements storming through.

To the northeast lies the Khrasor Pass. It leads to Khrasor Keep, but thick snows and ever greater Nighthawk presence prevent access for now...

"I don't like the look of this. This expedition was never meant to be easy, but to immediately be involved in a war... there's no way around it though; if this expedition is to accomplish its mission here, we must do something about this..." -Tantther, Aqui Expedition Leader

"You wanna know about the Saravim Bishops? Well, legend has it that they had many holy spells, and the Archbishop was reputed to have powers beyond that of any Bishop currently in existance. It seems unknown yet if he survived the war, but if Saravim is still standing (albeit barely), someone must at least hold the title, for the Nighthawks are quite powerful, and Saravim appears to have been under seige for quite some time..." -Nytia

"I find it quite disturbing that the Nighthawks appear to have some of the skills of the decimated Shadowknights. A few high ranking officers are also reputed to have Nightwalker and/or Soul Master training, but because no one comes back from wherever their base is, nothing can be confirmed..." -Burchin

"Welcome young traveler! These days, seeing a new face is rare; you more often see faces disappear forever... never mind that, welcome to Saravim! Or what's left of it, anyways... "
"Those Nighthawks appeared out of the Northern Pass a few weeks ago and attacked us with no warning or provocation whatsoever! By then, mose of the Saravim suburbs were already falling apart, but this caused an all out guerilla war, and right now, there is no end in sight..."
"I have requested help from the Helvetic League of Freedom, but their base is hidden deep in Netherspirit Myre... I doubt our messengers will get there in time before Saravim falls... but perhaps you can!"
"Now I know the Nighthawks tempt you with their lies of "fighting in the name of the people" and "removing the corruptness of the old King Velim", but I knew Velim personally, and his personality was anything but corrupt... I need your help, son. If Saravim falls, the last shard of Helvetia's old culture is shattered... Baguin, Korilia, and The North had already fallen before these Nighthawks began attacking Khrasor and us, and they must have defeated Khrasor to get here... The Helvetic League of Freedom means well, but they fight only for ridding Helvetia of Nighthawks, not restoring the old culture..."
-Many, many quotes from Archbishop Ineban. This only a little of his text...

"Seos may have responded too impulsively. I, Rodthienn, however, am willing to be more negotiable with you...."
"We Nighthawks have done nothing wrong. We are ridding the Fabled Continent of the corrupt government of King Velim, and these loyalists think they can just rise up in protest! We are trying to forge a better future for Helvetia, and these lowlifes rebel and form a royalist nation in Vorenthos, which these days has degenerated into little more than a thug town <spits>..."
"So you want to help us after all? I have no penchant for traitors, so if you wish to help us, make sure you are absolutely certain that you don't wish to rebel later. I have ways to make sure you stay dead...."
- many quotes from Admiral Rodthienn, Head of Nighthawk Operations in Saravim Steppes

"This cloaked spy was caught trying to escape as we decided to lead our way into this war, but before we could catch him, he managed to teleport out..."
-Tantther, Archbishop Ineban, Admiral Rodthienn, and others

There's way more than that; that's just scratching the surface...

The traveler had once more returned to Helvetia, where the Aqui expedition had notified him that the Nighthawks' South Border defenses had been pierced! But they didn't like what they found: A huge army attacking a city in flames, presumably Saravim! The traveler instantly understood the enormous risk Tantther was taking to send the Expedition this way, but he vowed to protect them to the best of his ability.

A cloaked figure nearby was satisfied with the results, and left...

Important notes from Isaac's Lab have been stolen! You must recover them ASAP, for there is sensitive information on those notes, and who knows what could happen if they were to fall into an enemy's hands? But the monsters won't give up the notes that easily...

(2-21-09): I realize that only Maps with no spawns have been posted. This is as intentioned; the reason being that I myself have not yet made the variety required to supply so many maps. If you haven't realized, this Chapter is larger than the entire Chapter 1, yet most of the terrain is similar, so crafting various monsters to cover this much is hard. It will be done, mark my words, just not now.

Mini Maps on Chapter 1 continue. Since Chapter 2 was never implemented in a patch, it may come together with a future patch. It is admittedly incomplete, but I was not having fun crafting it, and so it was terminated for now. It will come back, though.

Also, you may have noticed "Khrasor Peaks" on the map data. Let's just say this: you will be seeing more of it and Vorenthos Delta in the future. ;)

(2-26-09): And unveiling the curtain some more, some NPCs would like to have a word with you...

The "Isaac's Notes" event continues its progress...

If I were to give a song to this place, it would be Neo Tokyo's Akiabara and Odaiba for the bosses...

(2-27-09): And now unveiling the new monsters... yeah, not as much variety as before, but the Nighthawks occupy the whole area, pretty much, so, yeah, not much to change it up...

You may have noticed that the Twisted Guildmates of Crimsonwood Keep are here. They are actually hidden as Nighthawks, and so only spawn when you kill one and find them, hence the "x??" marking. Their story is out there, but it is yet to be discovered (or, in this case, yet to be written)...

Oh, also notice that you can fight Archbishop Ineban. You don't have to choose the Helvetic League of Freedom. That's right, this is a faction choice, and you may only choose one! Don't worry, you can still go to all future areas regardless of faction choice. Just be aware that monsters' aggro table is set based on your faction choice (ie if you help the League, Nighthawk-affiliated groups will attack without provocation, and vice versa)

Finally, I'm trying to develop Southperry-based events, hence the Isaac's Notes event.
(3-1-09): And stopping by again, I haven't been able to update much due to RL pressures, but we'll see again next week!
(3-8-09): Had 2 projects this weekend, sorry I've been inactive on this, but I haven't forgotten!

So the Helvetia chapters continue :f2:.
The destroyed city/castle somewhat reminds me of my own expansion as well as the Sharenian ruins.
Also I can see this isn't finished yet, keep up the work.
