If someone defames you...

I dunno if there has been a post like this already but I want to see how much people respond to defames in a reasonable way or a cruel way.
As for me, I RARELY defame, the only time I do it is if someone defames me either for no reason or a crap reason.

Anyway I want to see how maplers react with defames.

1. Ignore
2. Defame Back
3. Mass Defame Back
4: Taunt the defamer for more defames
5. Assassinate/Bagging (ie. killing the person with a summon sack while afk.)

i usually get defamed by random people for the stupidest reasons (..if they even have one)
i usually just ignore them if its a random lvl 15 nub but if its like,say, a lvl 50 with like 60 fame or something ill defame them back if i havent famed.
off topic: i dont know WHY people will defame someone else for no reason/stupidest reason -_-

Ignore if I'm not in a bitchy mood, just ask friends to fame me back later. If I feel particularly malevolent, I'll just write the douche's name down and defame them with 20+ mules.

Summoning bag while AFK seems the best revenge, but honestly, wasting like 30 mil for that may be a bit excessive.

If I get defamed, it's due to random people doing just for the hell of it. I chase them down and report them for harrasment, defame them, and carry on with what I was doing.

Once that this happened, the guy F2'd after defaming me and FJ'd away. I whispered him and asked him why he did. He said "becuz i felt like it". Being pretty upset, I chased him down to the FM and he logged. I left, and like 15 mins I tracked him and he was in the FM. My hubbie and myself went over there in whatever FM room he was in and turns out he was drop transfering a 9 att wg. My hubbie took it and we left while he was gone. o.O
Normally, I wouldn't of taken it, but this ass deserved it. Karma is real bishes.

I'd ask them why and if they had a good reason, I'd try resolving the conflict and if its for something retarded, I mass defame. I have the power to mass defame, I just dont like using it and until you give me a reason to, I wont.

For example, it is 5 am right now, and I'm cranky. If I go onto my pagemule, and I get defamed [although I have -10x fame], I would stalk the defamer until they log off and/or call for backup. If they call for backup, I would unleash the power of my brilliance and they will be forced to obey my every word. [aka I would pull a noobspam on them].

i have so much fame already that it really doesn't matter. i'll just go trading fame with one of my friends/guildmates later anyways, and i'd much rather fame someone i'm relatively close with rather than defaming someone i probably won't ever see again.

In fact it does, fame is required to wear certain stuff like dark armor (eg. Black Calas, Maroon Jangoon Top). One time I was wearing a dark set with 20 fame and some defamed me and yea, I had some trouble getting my fame back because I couldn't take off the armor and it wouldn't give me any stats.

That was a year ago I think. Anyhow, the defamer pretty much earned second place on my 'The Biggest Loser' list (around -15 fame, 8 fame dropped by me and my mules).

Fame is also required to wear a Zakum hat (yes I know its lame) and in JMS, you need 300 fame to take a ship back to Maple Island or so I've heard.

believe it or not most defames dont happen for "no reason". i personally defame MANY ppl but always for a particular reason, maybe one they arent aware of but definetly for a reason. usually its for something like ksing, and ill wait a few days before i defame them so they dont come back and ks some more lol.
