Lol, I wanna play that evil dude in the game! :D
Awesome moves! I think he has maxed Bstep! Haha :P
That "evil dude" is Albert F'ucking Wesker.
Also, it's a shame I won't be able to play this game.

It is a sad day when someone does not recognize Albert Wesker.
And holy... So Albert's officially a god now? I knew it was only a matter of time. I think I'll do just about anything I have to to play this game.

I found the Controls kinda stupid in this game, the knife is so limited and switching weapons is so slow. Moving around was also retarded.
Great game still, but controls i think will be the only factor lowering in its chance of game of the year.
I will still be buying this game.

Capcom, or someone else, announced that they will be adding a "Gears" type of control type. Hopefully, this will get rid of some of the control flaws that we both see.
I can't stand the whole idea of waiting with your knife out for one of the enemies to come to you. Then you realize that you're to far away and move up to just pull out your knife then get hit. Although, the game will be worth it and I can get used to the controls.

Didn't you guys play Resident Evil 4? The way you described using the knife sounds just like in RE4. You could only swing it in stationary positions. It was so easy to use, though. Hold R to ready weapon; hold L to ready knife. A activates whichever is ready.
Am I misunderstanding? Did they change how it was used in RE5? RE5 looks very similar to RE4. I thought the controls were great in RE4.

I'm going to grow some balls and admit that I've never in my life played a RE game. I had a GameCube but was far too prepubescent and obsessed with Wind Waker (I was in my little Zelda phase that every game goes through) to care about the zombies and gore involved in RE4.
I played the RE5 demo a few days ago. It was fun, and though I'm probably going to have to read up the summaries of all of the other Resident Evils (Assuming this one follows some sort of story since you guys keep talking about this Albert guy), I'm gonna buy this on release fosho.
inb4 I get made fun of for not experiencing RE4 .

Don't feel too bad. I haven't played all the RE games, either. I've only played RE, RE2 and RE4.
But yeah, you really need to play RE4. The ending to RE4 is what builds the story for RE5 (especially with Albert Wesker). And it's one of the best games ever made, anyway.

Yeah... basically, when I was 12 or 13, I spent all summer working to save up for a 360. When summer was over, I was $150 short of buying the cheapest 360 bundle. I made a move that I still regret today, and I sold off my Gamecube along with all 25+ of it's games. Gamestop really knows how to rip f(uckers off, and looking back at all of the games I enjoyed on my Gamecube (Animal Crossing, Wind Waker, SSBM, and the Twilight Princess I never got to play), my piss is brought to a boil.
In fact, just typing this out makes me wonder what the price on a used Gamecube is nowadays. Maybe when I work again in a few months, I'll chip out $100 for a GC and some games I never got to enjoy.
I played the sh'it out of RE4, including getting the Handcannon from Merc Mode and even doing a Professional run without ever using the Merchant. Sh'it was damn hard.

Come on guys! You're missing out.
How could anyone not have played an RE game? I could understand if you're underage b& like Greg, but come on...

Sounds good to me.
I've never played RE0 (no desire to play that one at all) RE3 or Code Veronica, but I know most of their storyline. I don't really know what goes on in Chronicles. What's the point of that one? It has an ending relevant to Wesker obtaining some secrets or something... I dunno.
Veronica is probably the biggest influence on the RE5 story, right? I know Wesker got a rare T-Virus sample from that game, and the hatred between Wesker and Chris developed in that game, too.
So Wesker has that sample and the Plagas sample from RE4. And he has something important (?) from Chronicles. Is the combination of all that how he made himself into a god?
I'd really like to know the plot of RE5.
RE0 wasn't that bad. It's still worth a play through if you ever get a chance. But that damn leech monster...
From what I remember, Wesker was already somewhat of a "god" in Code Veronica. He had those red eyes and was ruining Chris' sh'it while barely lifting a finger. It's also rumored Jill will make an appearance, because her gravestone was shown in one of the trailers. You and I both know she's not really dead.

Okay, I didn't know that. When and how did his transformation start? He wasn't capable of things like teleportation in Veronica yet, was he? The heck has he been doing?
Oh, of course. I wonder how that's gonna play into the story... I wonder so many things, dangit.
Have you played Chronicles? That one doesn't even have much good/new gameplay, does it?

He started being god-like after the first RE game. After the Tyrant impaled him and tossed him aside he injected himself with an experimental virus provided by William Birkin. The virus brought him back to life, augmenting him with superhuman strength and agility. That's just from what I remember anyway.
I haven't played Chronicals though. I always assumed it was just a rail shooter based on the game.

Bleh. It has been too long since I've played RE then. I don't even remember that part... I should take out my crappy PS and give it another play.
Yeah it looks lame to me, but it apparently does have some new (relevant) content at the end.

I literally played RE4 about 5 times though and yes, the controls were really good. This plays almost exactly the same control wise. I'm just saying that this is the first REAL RE to hit the Next gen consoles (Besides the RE4 and RE:UC for the Wii) and they should do a little more than just recycle the controls from they last amazing game.
I'm not really complaining, I just wish they do something with the controls. If they don't, I'll still be happy as a clam when it comes out.
Can't wait to go to the midnight release and skip school. :P
So this game has been out for a few days now and no one is talking about it...
Oh yeah, because it SUCKS. Capcom took a giant sh'it all over this franchise.
JILL WAS ENDOWED WITH THE SAME GOD-LIKE ABILITIES AS WESKER AND SHES BLONDE NOW LOLS

What the hell.
What the hell.
Seriously.
Most characters you meet die. Jill was being controlled by Wesker by something in her chest, which you have to pry out. After that SHE'S A GOOD GIRL AGAIN JUST INCREDIBLY DEADLY. Despite Jill's new powers, you have to face Wesker in your puny mortal body. But you do end up defeating him in an active Volcano. Wesker "dies" from being engulfed in magma. THE END.

Okay, the Jill part is really frickin' retarded. I'm completely disappointed with how they brought her back. The rest of the story doesn't sound that bad. I've read about most of the story now, and it seems pretty fun. The advanced Las Plagas theme is awesome. Most of the boss fights sound good, too. I guess I'll have to start looking for some videos to know for sure.

One of the files in the game states Jill was locked up in an underground testing facility for 2 years. The drugs they were using on her are what caused her hair to turn blonde. Which is an OKAY REASON for her to be blonde. Right?
Also, the video isn't spoiler heavy, just Chris punching a boulder. Yes. Punching a boulder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA5aHFPMSCo

Wow, after watching more videos, this game is looking really frickin' sweet. It's quite similar to RE4 (which I love) but looks much more advanced and realistic. Crazy. Having a partner that actually helps you is awesome. I really wish I could play this one...
The only thing that PISSES ME OFF is blonde Jill. Of all the decisions they made, WHY CHANGE HER HAIR COLOR? Seriously what the hell. Oh and what's up with the end? So superhuman, virus-infected Jill just gets to live on in happiness? lol

Brings an /a/ term into a /v/ thing. That is so fucking GAR.
Kay, well. Despite all the crap Capcom spewed onto this installment, they said Resident Evil 6 will be a reboot of the entire series. I'm wondering if they'll go back to the classic "survival horror" or continue with this Queers of War wannabe sh'it.
Please do the right thing, Capcom. >:

haha what? It's funny because you won't be able to play it anyway with that kiddieshit Wii of yours. Just go back to playing Wii Music and let the underage b& such as myself enjoy the new generation of RE games.
I picked up RE5 and Street Fighter 4 today. I'm only on Chapter 1-3, but I'm liking it so far. There's boss battles up the ass.. seriously, I've played for a total of like two hours and I've gotten in to three.

Although the pomegranate will Jill was bullpomegranate, It was an amazing game non the less. Capcom didn't take a "sh'it" all over the Franchise, this was an amazing installment. It has the best graphics I've ever seen in a game the realism in the characters within cutscenes in unmatched by any game out there. Capcom worked hella pineappleing hard on this game and it was amazing. Already beat it 3 times and working on my 4th.
