So, today while killing New Year sac with MB (yay no boss flag!) i noticed that every once in a while i would be DCed just as, or just after shooting the MB arrow. With what I can remember from the last MB glitch, this is somewhat the same occurrence. So, can anyone else test this out? I could have personal factors that made me DC, but the frequency of it was kinda different than anything ive had before, and even on dial up ive never really had a "random" DC. Thanks! and hope its not a return of the MB glitch :eek:

It isn't new. The MB D/C glitch was never completely fixed, they just made it happen much less often.
Whatever they did, it's happening more now. I've been d/c'd twice in APQ in the past week because I got rushed by Geist Rog and couldn't move before MB activated. I've also been d/c'd multiple times at the sack.

Hasn't happened to me at all. I've never been d/c'd from Mortal Blow since they fixed it, and I abuse Mortal Blow like there's no tomorrow, aya. Especially on Giest and Sacks.

well, if it keeps happening more and more, i really hope they fix it X_X my hurricane training that i tested on flowsionms (may it rest D:) was really effective.
And heres a thought, MB would have worked on killing bigfoot too D:

Using MB on BF involves getting close, which isn't a wise idea as bigfoot is totally liable to rush towards you and give you his loving embrace.
Anyways, I've noticed that MB dc's me a couple of times in Newties. However, it's a freakishly rare occurance compared to how often it dc'd me back in my 70s.

MB DCed me at Crimson Guardians yesterday... :f4: The last time I DCed from it was ages ago when the glitch was a lot more frequent, before it got fixed, but I MBed a good few times today and nothing. I hope it's nothing too serious.

pre-emergency patch... i was able to 1hko... sort of... with MB after it was below 50% hp... since everyone doing 2009 would take FOREVER to kill from 50%, the last time i saw was ~40% hp and it died 2 secs later... so i can be PRETTY sure i was the one who killed it... because i purposefully went close to it... since it can be poisoned, and stunned... and had a small HP bar above the head like any other monster... so i presumed it wasn't boss type... so i tried 1hkoing it with MB
now, i dunno... i was at typhon arrow raining so it doesn't apply... but i shall test it out...

I've been DC'd by MB on the Sack a few times...aaggrrh I hope the bug is fixed soon.

I think I killed the sac today with MB, but I don't know if it was the OHKO or even if it was actually me killing because it was crowded and it died within five seconds of me arriving to the fight. I didn't DC.

I went into the middle of a sack in Ellinia and for some reason I couldnt see a HP bar so I had to go up to MB every few minutes to see if I could "kill" it yet. Each time I MB'd, I'd do it about 10 times just in case I was unlucky. I did that 3-4 times and never dc'd so... yeah. I didnt dc at Guardians or bigfoot last night either but then MB doesnt really trigger at either of those places.

I DC'd once from MBing sack yesterday night, but that wasn't because of the 1HKO effect. I relogged and finished the fight shortly after by 1HKOing the sack with MB, and no dcs.

It's NEVER happened to me while training. However it happened to me about 5 times while fighting new years sack =\

I've been dcing from mb very rarely a month or two after they 'fixed' it, but it's never been an issue. I haven't been fighting sacks enough and it hasn't occured to me to MB it for some reason. I'll test it out though.

I just tested it on newts (thanks leer for the heal, xD), no dcs and I did everything. Including 1-hit KO/Puppet/Eagle/Blizzed newt.
Perhaps it is only effecting certain people. If you recall, last time the MB glitch was fixed in 3 waves. I was part of the first one, never got it again, while other's still were complaining.
Maybe this time it is only effecting certain users. User ranks ending in a 2-digit prime number perhaps? Who the hell knows.

It's only happened to me on the sack boss and Geist Balrog. Maybe it's when the 1hko activates on a monster with more HP than the damage cap? Not sure why the 1hko's activating on a boss though.

Aya, that's my theory too Techno. I was lucky enough to hardly get affected by the MB d/c glitch back in my 7x's. Partially because it didn't seem to affect me much, and partially because I rarely used MB.
It's definitely at least partially client related. I was fairly safe then, I've never been disconnected since, aya.

eh, its a dangerous way to hunt it, but if you let BF pin you to a wall and you keep hurricane up, its a good way to kill it, only problem is is that if it bow whacks, you better be ready to try and jump over the area that gives the damage.

I was MBing the New Year's Sack as well as the flying ghosts in Henesys.
I MBed the sack about 10 times before it died. No d/c. I did d/c twice from the flying ghosts though, but that was around like 100 MB shots. =/
During the MB Glitch phase in my 7X I was dcing every other MB I shot. So, at least for me, this is a relatively mild glitch, if it is a glitch at all.

It was probably client sided, but we could never figure out what caused it. Whatever it is, we know it wasn't effecting everyone, and we know that it was fixed in groups, not everyone got fixed at the same time.
Perhaps the wz files...

And no, that is not maplestory working with Windows 7 (stupid gamegaurd). That's Windows 7 accessing my XP partition.

wrong, BF is boss tagged, no MB, no poison, no web no way to bypass. Only way is to plain ol' hurricane it. And anyways, BF is really different from most monsters. Without aggro, BF will run you over no matter what, but when BF is aggro'd, when at full speed it will definitely run you over, but if it is only accelerating, it will use it's " stomp" attack and that would put you in a good position to mb even though again, it dosent work.

topic was made on the 25th so i assumed everyone knew that it was patched. even then youd get ks by a F/p mage so fast youw ouldnt be able to finish it with mb lol.

Ever since 4th job (When MB glitch occured for like 2-3 months) I avoided MBing geist. Everytime there's a warrior I wait till it gets rushed etc'. And I faught sack once, MB'd it and it died, Never dced from MB yet~

MB still activates on it, it just wont kill it now since its boss flagged. With MB activating right before plowing into you, it KBs it and you continue hurricane once its KBed. But be warned to anyone who tries this, after 100 MB shots, you will no longer shoot MBs, you will continue hurricaning until you are hit.
