Get Fraps, save it as a PNG, then upload it. Print Screen saves it as a JPEG, and photobucket makes BMPs into JPEGs. :[

It does 2850 max, to me atleast. And we're both bowmen, besides, it's really easy to avoid its attacks with puppet.

I get hit for as much as 2959, but it can't kill me with that gear on. Even if it could that wouldn't stop me from fighting it, I used to solo it before I got the Bosshunter Helm, and back then it actually could kill me in one hit. But yeah, with puppet it's fairly easy to keep it at bay. The only problem is when it kills the puppet, if a Jr. Wraith comes in the way then he'll gain some ground. I usually have to run through him and set up on the other side at least twice in a fight.

Does this make me the lowest level FP mage to solo it? I can't find any screenshots of FP Mages soloing it, but I'm pretty sure it has been done, although not at my level (or lower). The only thing I found when searching was that Black Crow solo by the 18x IL Mage on YouTube.

When I started being chased, I learned how to teleport backwards to not be hit, then I teleport out when I reach the end of the map. However, I apparently, I lagged before getting out of the map and died outside from the 8K damage the Crow inflicted on me.

Misoxeny said that he'd give me 20 minutes before he starts KSing again. Good thing I killed the crow before that.

The time it took to solo:
6:16:04 PM~8:30:29 PM, which is 2:14:25
8:49:40 PM~9:02:31 PM, which is 0:12:51
A total of 2:27:16
(I had to leave for 20 minutes cuz of dinner. I came back to finish the crow off.)

Dividing the EXP cost by the total EXP
1,679,481/1,780,000 = 93.35%
Which means that it took me 2:27:15 to kill 93.35% of it.
Which means if given the chance to kill it completely, I would need 2:36:04 to solo the whole thing.

Thus, I soloed it in 2:36:04 (hypothetically)

I got home at 9:49 today (11 minutes before when the SC is supposed to start) and quickly went HH hunting. I find one with roughly what? 2-3 minutes left so I try testing my luck. Good thing the SC started 4 minutes late (least on my clock) cause I finished roughly a minute or two before it started.

So we all know FelixTM is teh pro at Papu solos, and we all marvel at his awesome sub 10 minute times soloing. Of course those times are always prevalent with non-Magician classes, which are usually the most Papu soloes and other boss soloes we see.

So what about the Magicians?

Borrowing with credits to Felix his wonderful idea of posting Papu soloes, I'm going to start posting mine as well, going in order through at least 100, with hopes that they can inspire more Magicians to go out and solo bosses. After all, we have the capabilities, and so even though it takes us 2-2.5x the time to solo as other classes doesn't mean we should be intimidated to share our solo stories.

NOW, and these are the stats from my last (10th) solo, I can kill Papulatus in 23:30 min (best time) without Apples/other mega pots, using only the buffs you see on-screen and max Paralyze, Elquines, and Meteor Shower. I use roughly 150 Ginger Ales to do so.

Sadly, out of 10 soloes, I haven't gotten any worthwhile items. Just NPCs and Red/Blue Katinas, which I try and sell for a measly 1m.

So get out there and solo Magicians, and then post the screenshots for all to see!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while! My senior year in high school just started, and so I've been overwhelmed with APs and applications galore. On top of that, Papulatus has recently been owning me roughly 50% of the time with a deadly dispel + bomb explosion combo, an unavoidable attack where you lose MG the exact moment a bomb that hits for 3k+ damage explodes on top of you. It started happening so often I just decided to not ss any of them.

Needless to say, with a lot of those deaths recently I decided to give my soloing strategy another redo, a chance to get back to the drawing board and rethink how I approach the boss. The way I came up with is something old for everyone, but rather difficult to do (excuse me, impossible) without being at the proper level. This new technique is much faster, as you'll see with my new record time at the bottom of this post, but can only be done when you have at least 2k HP and 8k+ MP.

Simply put, I am now attacking from the platforms instead of on the ground now. Because I have 2.1k HP and 13.2k MP, I can easily survive any bomb Pap throws at me, provided I have MG on. Since you cannot be stunned or dispelled on the platforms, this means (1) I cannot die, as evidenced by two successful solos tonight, and (2) I can attack much more frequently, as I am not having to rebuff or sit there till stun wears off. Many people would think that summons then wouldn't be able to do much, which is the case, but to set some fears aside they still attack sometimes, and the time dropped from attacking with single target spells more frequently greatly exceeds the time gained from having summons attack less frequently. In short, this is a much better method.

So for those of you skipping the wall-of-text, or who just finished reading, here are my last 4 successful solos:

Lots of fun this afternoon. :P

There was one Tae Roon and one Stumpy that didn't give me a blue message because they were already spawned by someone else (and left walking around). I killed one more Bigfoot before the one shown, as well. However, after I already had it over half dead, an I/L arch mage came and glitched it ("rayhovite" = ice demon Bigfoot glitch abuser, ya). I still got the Toe, but I forgot to SS because he made me mad.

I finally got one of my best friends (IRL) back on his MS character today! He hasn't played in over two years. I didn't make sure he hit the 2nd body on the 1st run, so that's what you see happening in that SS. Lol He ended up dying the 2nd run due to lag, but it was still fun. :(

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention a few things. The Snowman boss doesn't give a blue message, but I killed all 19 Snowmen today (every ch). One of them gave me a Casters! And in the Headless Horseman pic, that Sader came in near the end and tried KSing me. >_> Right.

Pretty much. F3 I can efficiently kill any boss in GMS by myself. The only one that I do not enjoy fighting solo is Tengu :(... I haven't solo'd Zakum yet, but I know I'm capable of doing so! I just want to wait until I meet a few more personal goals.

Solo Checklist
Area Bosses: Solo'd them all, extremely easily (takes a few seconds for any of them).
Ergoth: Never "technically" solo'd, but I know it'd be a cake walk. I'm the Ergoth killer when my guild GPQs, besides.
Pianus: Solo'd! Takes longer than Pap, but still very easy.
Papulatus: Solo'd! So easy I've fallen asleep while fighting it!
Anego: Solo'd! Booooring battle, but no risk of dying.
Tengu: Never "technically" solo'd, but, again, I know it'd be possible with Puppet. I just...he scares me. ;_;
Manon + Griffey: Solo'd 'em both! These chumps are so easy I consider them Area Bosses with more HP.
Headless Horseman: Solo'd! Another joke of a boss.
Bigfoot: Solo'd! And yes, I only fight them legit. No DB, no Hawk, no MB. Pride, ftw. This is a very tough boss, honestly. I have to focus 100% or I'll die by missing a Puppet cast (which you have to cast over and over and over). The glitched KB animation actually makes him very difficult. :(

Of course there's also the Bodyguards + Grandpa and Horntail. I may attempt to solo the BGs + Gramps someday, but who knows when. The only HT solo I'd try is the prelim heads. Maybe. *shrugs*

I spent the night helping my friend get his Silver Deputy Star! Headless Horseman was such a pain. We spent hours hunting that stupid nib, and he kept mocking us by not dropping his head. ;_; But we made it!

Having leveled last night, I decided I'd had enough waiting around and that I would *Finally* go after that Pap curl today. I got frustrated waiting around up above for a DK for an hour (there's so many things that I could say about this but I'm not gonna get into it here.) and so, I decided I'd give it a shot myself.

I managed to max bomb spawn and this is by far the farthest I'd gotten on my own. I don't think it's so bad considering I couldn't even take a touch. XD That's what finally got me, btw, a stun+touch while I was trying to recast. I'll probably wait until either one of three things happens:
1. Get a Stirgeman Cape of wiliness (lol fat bastard's never gonna give me that.)
2. Get the pap curl (If DK hunting today is any indication this is still a long way off)
3. Level 4 more times to 110, which ought to give me enough for a hit.

Heh...that second run was a fun one. Sadly, that's not my bab- I mean, wand, but rather it belongs to a really good friend of mine who let me borrow it for damage checks and pap solo time check since the weapons now carry the elemental bonuses (ironically, I showed him this wand saying it was like my dream wand that I wanted to get [146/3 clean], but when it was understood this morning that the wands don't/don't yet have the elemental restrictions, he went and bought the wand for 1.4b instantly. Lol that I heard about it later and that's the wand it turned out to be X_X. GG to ArchMages at not being able to buy the wands still because Bishops have the purchasing power to set prices only they can negotiate with. Whatever).

Results? My MATK score went up from 197 to 220 while holding the wand (base matk 1030 -> 1053), and with the bonuses my literal damage output with Paralyze on Pap went from 17-22ks to 22-29ks, with Meteor Shower damage going from 49-60ks to 61-69ks. So HUGE damage increases led to my new solo time of 19:01 min! w00t at finally breaking 20 minutes! Too bad it wasn't with my equips ;_;. But I'm sure I'll break it soon anyways; all I have to do is make 1.4b, right? xD.

Otherwise no amazing drops, so just normal runs otherwise. 23 solos and counting.

P.S.: For those who care, my Paralyze damage on poison weak at best was 43,778. I practically died seeing that number, considering all the relatively simple updates I can make to my MATK in order to do higher damage. So I was pretty excited to see that.

Finally got my own Elemental Wand. Let's not mention stats.

Strange thing happened: the wand is of worse stats than the one I borrowed from my friend a few days ago, yet even though my leaf was now finished at 18int, I soloed Pap over 2 minutes faster than before. I thought it weird, so I timed it again and got almost quite exactly the same time. Crazy stuff.

So new Pap solo time is 17:12 min.

ANNNNNNNNND still no mentionable drops besides Venom 20, which pales in comparison to the ever-valuable Stance 20, Brandish 30, Bstep 30.....

Yea, this is a long dry spell so far.

Has it always been this way? We hunt King Sage Cat quite often, and always check through all the channels (usually two loops). We've been checking both maps, and haven't found any in GF 2 lately (when we always used to get our big mass slayings of them there). What is this madness :(? It's obvious from the first SS of us encountering one in GF 1 that we definitely didn't know they spawned there. It's crazy odds that we never once found one there, and now it's seemingly the other way around.

Took us about 75 minutes, surprisingly.

The DK was there because he wanted to scroll his helm, and he did act as an HB mule for us. He didn't attack though.
If you don't wanna consider it a duo, then I guess it's a trio. Still doesn't take away from the accomplishment we made today.

Pretty weird pap today I went to duo with a buddy first one went fine but on the second one CH9 crashed and yeah offcourse we where on CH9. When I logged back on another ch I was INSIDE pap where another party was killing told m I was just getting some exp and wouldnt loot.

Good day today too with 2 Pianus solos and the last Pap solo you see! SE 30 dropped from the last Pianus, and Hurricane 30 dropped from my 47th Pap solo (the last pap SS), so FINALLY good things drop haha.

Quick question to everyone too: can I get server comparison price checks on the two books (aka how much are they in your server), including Khaini? Thanks everyone!

EDIT: Coolest thing about the first Pianus solo is that it didn't start mdefing until 10 minutes into the battle, so by the time the first mdef came around my first MG was dying off and I had hammered away 60% of the things HP. That battle is now my fastest Pianus solo time at 21:09 minutes :D.
