View Full Version : How do you download a video from Youtube?
Well, I seem to have lost the files of my videos that I made in the past that I still have uploaded on youtube and I kind of want to make a video including those videos. Is there a way to download them? O_o
Not sure if this is allowed o_O;. But I use the add-on from FireFox downloadhelper.

That worked, thanks. However, how do I convert it to a playable file such as WMV, AVI, etc?

www.mediaconverter.org is a great site. Just paste the link from youtube (and many other portals) and choose your output and you're set!

Alternatively, you could find a media player that works with FLVs. My personal recommendation would be either KMPlayer (http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) or GOMPlayer (http://www.gomlab.com/eng/). Other players that work include VLCplayer and MPlayer. This way you won't have to convert each YouTube video you download in the future.
