Just conceptualizing...
1st Map
Think King Slime area, but twice as long horizontally. Every 2 minutes, two Greater Elderwraiths spawn on opposite sides of the map and start flying around, up to a maximum of six. The left one can Seal and buff the boss with Weapon Cancel, and the right one can Darkness and Magic Cancel. Neither one has any hit frames whatsoever. Above the main fighting area is a series of JQ-style platforms that leads to a green crystal, which eliminates all Wraiths on the map when whacked.
Stage 1: Windraider Master
Around 2 mil HP, 4k touch damage, and 10k KB. About 1.5x the size of a regular Windraider and the same speed. Has two attacks: one short ranged AoE and one that shoots a slow long ranged projectile at 4 random players. Both of these deal around 6k and the projectile has super KB. When it dies, it fades away and the Stormbreaker Master is spawned in its place.
Stage 2: Stormbreaker Master
Around 6 mil HP, 5k touch damage, and 30k KB. About 1.5x the size of a regular Stormbreaker and half the speed. Has two attacks: a mid-ranged avoidable spear thrust and an earthquake attack, both of which deal around 6k. Also casts full-screen Stun and Slow. When it dies, it fades away and the Firebrand Master is spawned in its place.
Stage 3: Firebrand Master + Windraider revisited
As soon as the Firebrand appears, it summons back a weakened/strengthened (depending on your point of view) version of the Windraider. It comes back with half the HP and 1k more damage. Its attacks also now have an Ice Demon effect, making you weak to fire and take damage per second. As for the Firebrand, it has 1 mil HP and 8k touch damage, but only 1000 KB. It's also physical resistant and fire immune. It only has one attack, which shoots 10-15 flame projectiles in random directions that deal around 4.5k damage. When both the Firebrand and Windraider die, they fade away and a portal opens to a different map.
2nd Map
The map is identical to the first, except that it's dark, so you can only see a small area around you. The Elderwraiths also don't spawn in this map.
Stage 4: Nightshadow Master + Stormbreaker revisited
The Nightshadow is INVISIBLE during its standing and walking frames, so AoE/ranged attacks are helpful for first locating it. It has around 7 mil HP but only 2k touch damage (which can still hit you while invisible), and impossible to KB. No attacks, but it occasionally casts a debuff that unequips all your items. The Stormbreaker has half the HP as before and around 1k more damage, but otherwise is the same as before. When the Stormbreaker dies, six Typhon eggs spawn at the top where the crystal was in the first map. Each of these drops a key, which transports the user to the next stage when used. When the Nightshadow dies, he drops a Strange Versal Materia, which is needed for the next stage.
3rd and Final Map
This map is about as long as the V/H map and has four horizontal levels that extend all the way across the map and are connected by a series of statue warps. They are color coded: the floor tiles of each platform, and the statue warps, are each tinted a different color, and each statue teleports you to the platform with the corresponding floor tile. The spacing is about the same as the pig platforms in HPQ. Above the highest of the four is a ladder leading to a smaller platform, which has a glowing red crystal on it. Drop the Materia on it, and the real fight begins.
Stage 5: Four Grandmasters
Each platform spawns one of the four grandmasters (randomized each time) so divide your forces wisely. The Windraider and Stormbreaker have the same stats as their second forms, the Firebrand and Nightshadow each have half the HP and around 1k more damage. The Nightshadow also gains a horizontal sword thrust attack in which it becomes visible and deals an avoidable 12k damage. The Firebrand can no longer fly, but is still pretty fast, and gains a close range avoidable with a long warning animation that deals hefty 25k damage. In addition, each one occasionally uses an attack that makes projectiles rain down from the ceiling through all 4 platforms: Firebrand, flames; Stormbreaker, lightning; Nightshadow, stone spikes; and Windraider, arrows. All of these deal 3k damage and stun if hit, and when a Grandmaster dies, it unleashes a stronger version of this attack with 5k damage.
Each one drops a Sign of the Keep. It's a pendant and when worn, it makes you (and you only) invincible from all Grandmaster attacks for the duration of the fight. Choose wisely who to give them to.
Once all four are killed, drop the four Signs on the red crystal. Then it's prize time :glitter:
Let's see... make it a certain number of PQs, you get a Crimsonwood Cloak. Permanent 10% resistance to all elemental attacks. Not quite the 100% that some of the mobs in the place will probably have, but oh well
