the last time they dropped was during the anniversary event in 2007. since most people use dark scrolls to scroll shields, you can kinda see where the value is coming from.

The crazy thing is I know someone who has like 20 clean maple shields and they refuse to sell them and they're not scrolling them either lol

I can't believe that the level 20, nor level 64 shields dropped during the event, I was counting on being able to get a few. Now I am left with my 0 stat shield still, and shields 30m more than I could have bought them for before the event that everyone thought would at least drop the level 20 ones :(. I would have been happy even if it was the only item available.
