114 Marauder at Gobis

Equips suck, quality sucks, but that's not why I made the video :f3:.

Just showing the effectiveness of blast at gobis, and how fast energy charges there. I don't have full fraps so the scenes are a bit shorter than i would have liked them to be.

I'll try uploading again to see if I can get away from the crappy quality

The video is pretty much uneditted except for being zoomed in a bit. I used a 12 atk pot and a sniper pot throughout the video. I also tried to keep the energy charge bar in view.

Thanks for uploading. I’ve been interested in seeing it since your post in the other thread. I would be interested to see what it was like with better equips as that was pretty strong.

Its 128 with sniper pot.

@kirov. Blast is a pretty strng atk. My current range is 22xx. With an unblown helm I can use my atk glove and steelno which will bring up my range to over 3k

ok, thank you. BTW, i see 8k damages occasionally(in mobbing) and i am assuming that is Blast damage. If not then you hit 2k most of the time with SSK, and 8 k non crit occasionally, which seems weird.

Gobies is an interesting place and not every class can handle gobies effectively. As far as I see, Marauders are not built for gobies. I might as well have been watching a hermit (not NL) with apples and SE at gobies.

Marauders do well at smaller monsters. Huge ones (like duals/vikings) are hard to maneuver around because of Marauders small range. I would have went to himes instead of I didn't have such shietty ACC.

My damage in the video was about 2/3's of what it would be if I didn't blow my helm. Trust me.... it's ALOT easier to train there when it doesn't take that long to kill them.

It does come off as a fair bit slower than other classes training there, marauders do heavy damage and all, but i've yet to see a video of one killing at a good speed, which has lowered my inscentive to level my brawler, they look like they kill so slow in every last Knuckle pirate video i've ever seen.

I guess i'll be making another one once I get another z helm. I'll tell you that marauders can kill gobis faster than most classes, including bandits (i trained my shadower at gobis for like 30 lvls so I got a bit of experience there).

I can't stress enough about how much my equips sucked in that video. I'm down by FORTY ATTACK. It's like the equivalent of taking away a hermits 5x scarab in exchange for a 100%d meba, and downgrading his glove from 14 atk to an 8 atk.

I won't compare damages because I know it's an unfair comparison, based on what you've told us... The skillset really didn't seem to lend itself well to gobies. I think you used more health pots in that 3 minutes than I do in half an hour at that map. Doesn't seem like marauders are well suited to either of my favourite maps (typhons & gobies). I'm assuming they get hit by every single newtie as well, so what's a good marauder spot for 100+?

Equipment is one thing, class difference is another. Which is why I made the comparison between this and a hermit with apples+SE.

Compare a hermit with apples and SE at gobies to a 200 base dex DK using a clean omega, or an I/L with a clean lama. The I/L and DK, despite having poor equipment, will do much better at handling gobies than that 'godly' hermit can, simply because those classes are built for this particular place.

I'll try himes later. So many people are confused about what skill to get first as a marauder and even how to train them. That's the main reason I made the video was to show how good blast is, and how marauders train. Gobis are one of the harder maps to control a marauder in, himes are pretty cut and dry.

at about 2:17 I kill the house with just SSKick. And why are you not convinced blast is a good skill? Do you think shockwave is better? lol. Everyone I know who got shockwave first regrets it. I'm trying to show people that blast > shockwave.

I'm trying to show people that blast > shockwave.Hmmm well, I'm not saying Blast is not a good skill, but to be honest, I think SSing the gobies kills them at 90% the same speed as with Blast...

Maybe if Blast would hit 6 targets, I would be ok with it, but now... you always have to finish the last 2 with more Blasts...

Again, I'm not saying Blast is a bad skill, but when I gobi'ed, I found SSkick good enough already to finish them off (since it hits all 6 at once and it's a lot FASTER then Blast as well).

And I personally think max Shockwave / Transform / Energy Charge is best to have when you can switch to Himes... Because Himes is better exp then Gobies...

P.S. Do you know Blasts attacks/second? I think it's about 60 per minute? I'll try it out later today.
