View Full Version : Energy Charge is weird...

I'm looking at this and I just don't get it. No matter how many times I go over the numbers, it doesn't make any sense. Energy charge doesn't really add any damage. The +200% damage doesn't do anything (that I can see, anyway). It must be a glitch or something. Has anyone else noticed this in the videos (assuming you watched them)? Compare an EC'd Viper to a non-EC'd one. You'll barely notice a difference.

Can you post these videos for comparison then...?

When the little orb appears around them, that's energy charge.

Videos were too long or something, and the site crunched them down. D:

I'm guessing that +200% Damage is the "Body Attack" effect. The thing that seems like Power Guard or something.

That makes sense... But it's slightly depressing :( That's the only logical thing that it can be, though.

From what I see, it does increase damage, but not considerably, and the 200% probably isn't a part of that factor.
Fist's range changes from what appears to be 5.2k~9.1k to 6.5k~11k and Dragon Strike's from 20k~31k to 23k~36k. Most likely, this is due to the other damage buff inherent in Energy Charge.

it doesnt imcrease your dmg 200% it bounces back dmg taken by 200%, so a monster does 1k touch, it takes 2k back.
get it?

The skill description has the 200% which is the body attack, and theres a separate +20 attack bonus in there too if you check.
edit: i hope the 20 atk stacks with pots/buffz/rage...

I just wonder, if it reduces damage you take before reflecting it like power guard... Im guessing no but I may be wrong.
