hey guys
this is my first post here.
i have two characters on kradia: a lv 16 thief and a lv 27 archer.
i want to kno which one i should continue training. i like both classes but theives are expensive and archers train slow but higher lvls i like both of their skills.
Go read a guide on each of them and decide which one you like. Videos too.
These threads are so annoying.
Both classes are useful for bossing. :X
It's actually your choice if you want to continue archer or sin. You should make a character that you think it's fun to play.

Psst, archers are expensive too! Perhaps not as expensive as sins but they're still pretty expensive these days. Additionally, archers dont really train slower. Its just a matter of knowing where and how to train.

Both classes are similar in terms of training and usefulness at bosses.
The question is, do you want to be a lord of the night or a master of the bow/xbow?

The decision of what class to play is entirely up to you. Sins are indeed much more expensive than Xbowmen, but if you play a class boring to you you'll quit. Go to www.hidden-street.net and look at all the skills for the two classes, including 4th job skills. The set of skills that you like the best should determine what you play.
Hope this helps.

Since sins are no longer the majority class in population, you won't be bandwagoning anymore. They seem like fun w/ that flashyjumpythingy.
Crossbows make such pretty numbers appear over monsters, but sins do too I guess.
I say neither quit both and bandwagon gunslinger.

Archers are a pain in the butt until you max mastery
Of course, with all these PQ's available now, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. (Unless you hate PQ-ing as much as I do)

i hate pqing aswell
but since exp sucks every where else, pqing tends to be the best exp. :f4:

You can PQ all the way from 10- 71 -__-
I stick with the one you will like the most... I've played both theif classes, a ranger, and a low level xbow... Of them all i stuck with the archer. But the decision is yours.
If you're not a damage ho then you really don't need to worry too much on funding now do you? And you could go with either class. In the end you can make money from pqing for a while both ways.
^^ my 2 cents =) hope it helps.

Hi, from my experience I say that bowmaster is the best for solo bosses. Hurricane is so good. Bowmasters have just that. The best for knockback! Best damage per second without apple.
Marksman is the best for solo training (between these 3 classes, otherwise i'd say bishop), for example you can kill the 3 jr newties at bottom with 2 shoots (pierce + iron arrow) or even in 1 (strong lucky pierce + frostprey). Snipe does his ~97500 also when the monster/boss has the physical immunity up. Frostprey helps freeze and does around 10-11k at lvl21.
Can also solo bosses but puppet in this case is so important. Try to put at least 18 it if you go crossbow (but also bow). Jump shoots helps but might be hard, expecially jump pierce. If you have a keyboard with Alt GR key, put your skill you wish to jump shoot on ALT, jump on CTRL. Now you can jump shoot with just pushing Alt GR but might mess up your keyboard layout and only works for 1 skill.
Night lord has the weakest damage at solo bosses (without apple). In training, venom helps and makes them act like f/p mages. They are the best for party bossing, an apple and sharp eyes makes their damage really good.
About money factor nightlords make lot of meso with their meso up skill, high avoidability, drain and alchemist. Many archers uses expensive ginger ales at skeletons. Claw scrolls might be expensive but armor scrolls have same price for all classes.
I personally had a marksman and was pretty fun. Just remember that right now people are becoming more and more picky on their bosses run so you might be left alone.
For example, I/L or F/P mages are hardlllyyyy seen in horntails.
That's why I mostly considered damage factor. Sad but true. T_T
If you pick assassin try to be dexless for first levels.
(Sorry for probable english errors)

I don't see how archers are expensive. They can pretty much shoot farther from a monster's range, which means they won't get hit. (Puppet anyone? Stun much?)

There's a HUGE difference between venom and mist.
Venom can be viewed as quick poison. A Night Lord fires a star, and there's a few seconds of some damage that's definitely higher than 1/40th of a monster's hp. When a NL fires a star again, that damage is doubled, duration reset. Maxed, the venom will stay for 4 seconds. (What I don't get though is why NLs don't venom a monster, venom another monster, and then kill the first monster instead of just firing stars at the first mosnters until it's dead. Seems like a waste of stars to me.)
Poison mist is always the definite 1/40th monster's HP for 40 seconds. Their usage is completely different, as is their effects. So yea, just differentiating between the two. xD
I actually suggest making an assasin. You'll do much more damage and be able to go to boss runs. However, if you like to be a rare class, then make a crossbowman.

flip a coin.
LoL... that reminds me. There are several ways to decide.
1) Flip a coin
This method is best because there's only two choices
2) Roll a dice
Give each guild three numbers and roll away
3) Play Eini Mini Maini Moe...
(or however you spell it)
4) Paper Airplanes
Take two pieces of paper, write one guild on a piece of paper and the other guild on the other piece of paper, and fly them both... which ever one flies the farthest is your guild.
5) Play a game
Play chess with yourself, make one guild white and one guild black... and see who wins.
6) Draw marbles
Gather some marbles
Make each guild a color, and see what color you pick
7) Darts
Make the rings on the dartboard correspond to a guild... close your eyes, and throw
8) Calculator
Make one guild even and one guild odd. Press random buttons into the calculator and see whether its even or odd.
9) Spinner
Spin a spinner and see where it lands
10) Click
http://www.urban75.com/Mag/java7.html
Make one guild even and one guild odd. See how many times you click at the end of 10 sec.
(Posted this in a thread in Scania Subforum on SW where the person couldn't decide between which of the two zhelm groups to buy from)

The expensive part was about equips, not training. Who would think that sins are expensive to train :f6:

No, it's more expensive because sins will be forced to buy all their stars before they can start training. And equips in general are usually expensive anyways. It doesn't matter which class.

Snipers are soo useful at newts xD
They can survive the top and bottom at levels 10x and 11x because of the freeze thing
They're so adaptable ^^. I CHOOSE THAT!

Some classes are still cheaper than others, though. Bow scrolls used to be a lot cheaper compared to other scroll than they are now...

Actually while choosing your class and job and stuff,
you should just think about what you like more,
what's more fun for you, no matter what everyone else says about it.
No point in playing something, that other people tell you to,
while you don't even enjoy doing it. D:

well I say choose the class that SUITS your personality, for me i choose DK cus thats what came the closest..till infighters came out and they just FIT ME LIKE A GLOVE..and not the kind you put on yur hands :f3:
You can PQ all the way from 10- 71 -__-
If you wanna go real slow, you can PQ from 10-101. O_O (And, technically you could ZPQ or HPQ to 200, but no one wants to do that.)
I would go with the archer, I think they're funner, cooler, less populated than sins, not AS expensive, etc. But the choice is yours.

Crossbow men. You will not be disappointed. I've had a sniper since years back.

This made me laugh for awhile. But it really depends what this guy is looking for. Is he well funded? How far is he going to go for?
Not Funded + Not Far = Assassin
Not Funded + Far = Crossbowman
Funded + Not Far = Assassin
Funded + Far = Crossbowman
