I don't think they can actually steal your mount. On account of them being UNTRADEABLE >_>_>_>_>

If you really did lose your mount, you can try the mount quests again (starting from the lvl 70 one). Or if you can't do the quests again or if there's no "lost" quest associated with it, you're out of luck.

EDIT: Yes, that's what I thought at first Dusk, although I had no idea he did that much crap. Either way, I feel like responding like a professional unit anyways xD
