Fourth job skills will not be posted in this thread. These skills are located in the Fourth Job Skill Tables (http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2) sticky in the Training Center section.

You need 20 DEX at level 10 to advance to Pirate

Infighters need DEX = Level for their equips
Gunslingers need STR = Level for their equips

Infighter: Primary (STR), Secondary (DEX)
Gunslinger: Primary (DEX), Secondary (STR)

Recent Changes:
Jun 21, 2008:
Base Pirate class:
- Straight's damage increased at all levels
- Double Fire's MP cost reduced slightly

Gunslinger:
- Invisible Shot's MP cost lowered
- Throw Bomb's MP cost lowered

Buccaneer:
- The charge rate for instantaneous was increased
- Transform's cooldown was vastly reduced

Valkyrie:
- Gaviota's MP cost increased (fault of my own)
- Triple Fire's damage increased at all levels.

I've come across something... This collection of information claims that a Buccaneer's Transform skill gives a STR bonus per level. However, I've discovered that such information is incorrect. My current level of Transformation on my Buccaneer is nine and it states here that I'm supposed to get a STR bonus of nine. However, when I transform, I get no STR bonus. I'm not sure if this information is outdated or translated wrong or anything like that, but I just thought that I'd give you a heads-up.

The description says exactly what it says here, but the skill says that it adds this (level 9):

MP 38 消費、 物理、 魔法防御力 18増加、 再使用待機時間: 700秒

Which means:

MP -38, Physical and Magical Defense +18, wait until you can use it again: 700 seconds

What it doesn't say in either the description or the added stats is +40 speed and +20 jump.

I read somewhere that for one skill (dash?) the MP consumption is different than what is listed in the skill window, as in the skill was using the updated information but they forgot to update the description. are you sure it's not the same type of thing with triple fire? I can't imagine that they would have reverted back to the old percentages..

The strings we inherited for Pirates are not up to date. Double Shot says that it costs 8 mp per attack, but actually only costs 7. Invisible Shot supposedly goes up by 1 mp per level, but I have level 5 Invisible Shot and it only costs 10 mp. Don't trust String.wz. Look at the tables. The in-game descriptions for skills are horribly wrong for half the skills in the game.

Skill window says different stuff than what actually happens. Not sure how to test a damage % though as it takes more time/data to know [besdies extracting the data]

At person above who saw problem with the tables: Yeah, there's a few other instances where it's wrong i.e. Advanced homing for 4th job. Fiel just has to fix.

It's def, sadly. Attack values would be much nicer, given that the max is 40.

Oak barrel > MP recovery as HP/MP:meso ratio in GMS is 1:1. You're saving nothing.

HP is cheaper than MP with % pots at higher levels. Also, training with clerics = free. I don't know much about Brawlers, but I'm just surprised that people don't think of other applications for the skill.

True, but you're probably not going to be training with a cleric until himes where you would probably not bust out MP recovery anyway. I would rather save pots by oak barreling past a monster going to skeles.

I could easily say the same thing for chakra though, except it's 100x more efficient, you take less damage using it, and despite you sitting there for 2 seconds people still decide to whip it out anyway. *Is a CB in favor of chakra, btw*

i actually couldnt figure out why i had to leave 3 lines in instead of 2. when i deleted the first row (w/ lvl 1 stats) it pineappleed itself pretty badly in the preview. guess i wasnt too clear about that since it wasnt anything you wouldve known about. :goggle:

edit @ below: ah, hmm. apparently, asking if its real means i get to battle a troll.

Wrong thread, dood. Nonetheless, you go to Nautilus Port; you can reach it by speaking to the guy in the window next to Nina when you first get off the boat in Lith.
