1) for firefox, is there a way to view previously viewed pages from history? (if the page got removed/shut down/etc but you want to view it from history) IE has this function by browsing offline but that doesnt seem to work for firefox.
or
alternatively, is there a way i can export history from firefox to IE?
2) can anyone recommend a place for hosting a webpage for free? ive been familiar with geocities, onlinerock, and 50megs but those places' bandwitdth gets raped after like 10 people visit your site. yeah, its free but does anyone have a personal preference for a decent free one?

No idea on your first one :(
As for the webpage...perhaps blogger would work for you? Their new templates are highly customizable with minimal effort. Figured I'd throw the idea out there.

Not sure on the first question, but here are two free webhosts you may want to try out:
http://awardspace.com/
http://www.freehostia.com/
I have not used free hosts for a while now, but I did use these at some point and they were fairly reliable. Note that I only looked into hosts with PHP + MySQL capabilities so if you do not care for this feature, there will probably be hosts that do not offer it, but offer more in bandwidth.

you can goto Tools > Options > Advanced tab > Network Tab > and set the cache to a huge amount.
As for free hosts, if you're not doing anything illegal, I'd host you.

quite close but no cigar. i suppose one too many computer restart cleared it out. since i couldnt recover the deleted webpage, i dont really need to rehost it anymore :P
