I think the Masteria expansion will be for All Hallow's Eve, seeing as its possibly Crimsonwood Keep.

We're guaranteed one by the end of August, and I'm not sure if Nexon's "competent"... or at least not busy enough to work on MapleStory for pirates.

They're probably focusing a little more on Sugar Rush or Combat Arms or whatever the hell they work on.

Here's what I think we'll get

1. Interface updates - at the very least
2. Cash shop items - given
3. Pirates - at the very, VERY most because they want to get ahead of the Private Servers
4. I think that even though it's unlikely, Nexon might pull a total LOLWTFSHEET over us and release something we never saw coming. It might be possible, but it depends on when they release the patch at the "end of summer". Could be the end of August or the end of July, and within that time frame they may release something NEW AND EXCITING, or they could just be working on Pirates. We can't tell until they open Tespia back up, I guess. ¬_¬

In these threads I usually vote for the thing I want most, as long as it is realistic. I doubt pirates will come out anytime soon and that's why I didn't vote pirates.

Well, we're pretty quick with getting new UI upgrades, so we should get some in 0.58.
Area bosses have already started with the Snowman, so the first batch might come.
Cash shop items don't count, they're always there =P

Yeah srsly, those people say oh GMS is only behind x patches, we should get this and that soon!! They should compare GMS and MSEA patch nr's and data :p

I have no reason to think we'll get anything good. I can hope, but unless the majority of pServers update to 57, Nexon will probably wait a year for another big update, just like they always do.

They already did the bug fixes for last patch, didn't they? Ofcourse there are still plenty of patches left but I doubt they'll do 2 bug fixing patches after each other.

I have my guesses on Magatia, Area Bosses (First Pack), UI Updates, and More Cash Shop items (Yay fancy clothes). I believe Nexon is trying to do some slow transition to put in Pirates, so it might not be around until a patch release in August or something.

Didnt someone post some map backgrounds of some new Maesteria expansion on SW a few months back? My money would be on that though its somewhat strange to get a dark, gloomy place like that in the middle of summer (I'd say its more fitting for halloween or something but... yeah).

We're supposed to be getting a Masteria update in July (Based on that leaked information). Isaac said that July 29th is the next possible date for a patch, and that's supposedly the 1 year anniversary of New Leaf City. So, I don't see why we wouldn't get something Masteria related.

Masteria is probably the next update, for three reasons.

1. Masteria's 'birthday' is this month.
2. The 'leak'
3. The question thingy on the 8th.

Nexon LOVES masteria, so they're gunna hype it abit I thinks.

Magatia will probably next, considering all the factors. It's the last town in ossy (for now), it's Ariant's brother town, and it's used in the pirate background story. So I think it will come before pirates.

After Magatia, it's most likley to be Pirates. We got Elin forest data in the last patch, and Elin forest requires pirates to be released. :)

Actually .49 was 4th job. .50 was a bug fix patch that they just used the same patch notes for.

And there is a PQ in Ellin Forest that requires one of each class (including Pirates)
Although it wouldn't be impossibly for them to release the town and then add in the PQ at a later date (Herb Town, anyone?)

The order I think we'll get things in:

July: Masteria
August: Toss-up between Magatia or Pirates
September: Magatia or Pirates depending on what was in the August Patch (and maybe monster book, because we'll have most of the monsters KMS has)

So, if July's Patch is going to be Masteria, and some of us think we're getting Pirates at a Landmark such as Ver. .60, or before. That leaves:

.59 September - Pirates
.60 October - Recycled Event/Pirates

The thing I see wrong with is is they're releasing a TON of stuff, all in a 4 month time frame (A lot of UI updates, Masteria and Pirates). I mean, maybe that's the direction they're going in now, because they have been stepping up to the plate. I mean, it all seems completely plausible.

Then there's the fact that we have 2 more months of updates left, November and December. Both major holiday months, so we could just get crappy recycled events. And maybe even something like Coka Cola Land for December?

It just seems like a lot of content could be getting released, soon.

I don't really know why they wouldn't, they have yet to fix a single glitch in between tespia and the real servers. Also I suppose testing a new custom gMS area would be more important to test than pirates, who already exist in other servers.

This is silly reasoning to me. Almost every content patch this year has been a major addition. The only month that really suffered was February, and given how massive the January patch was it's understandable.. I mean, Leafre/4th job, Horntail/Monster Carnival, Showa, and now Ariant... Granted there's not that much left that's an option right now (Magatia, Masteria, or Pirates are the only realistic choices. Everything else has pre-reqs) Nexon America's style leads me to believe that they'll merge the existing Area Boss "batches" into at most 2 groups, rather than 4. Maybe even just patch them all in at once.

Monster Book is the main UI update we're missing, and my thinking on this is that they are waiting for their upcoming Masteria update to implement it. That way, they can sift out unreleased monsters (Magatia, Bot-catching, Area Bosses) and write up new book additions for NLC, Amoria, and Mansion monsters, as well as Crimsonwood monsters or whatever our new expansion turns out to be. There's no way that the lore-loving designers at Nexon will miss out on writing up monster book passages for their own creations.

there really isnt much left ... and then again there isnt much left of the summer xD. october-december are downers every single year with the exception to last years haunted mansion which will more than probably be recycled this year. so unless we dont get pirates during this summer i doubt we will see them till january ... remember everyone expected leafre last summer and we waited till january. the rest of summer , aka second part of summer aka better updates than ariant and showa and insane amounts of ui updates will inevitably see many shiny major things. we have july august and september.... enough months for 3 major releases followed by the inevitable slew that is holiday patches....

Isaac, I guess it's really just a matter of opinion when it comes to "major" patches. The way I'm looking at things is, Horntail, Monster Carnival, Showa and Ariant aren't much of major things. For one, there's only a small majority of people who can Horntail. Monster Carnival is only level 30-50, granted it's fun but for the lower levels. Showa, Lol. Waaaaay overhyped. I really don't see anything major about that town. And Ariant just seems like a good place for like, level 30's to train. The quests were fun, but that's it. I wouldn't consider Area Bosses a major update, because they're not... It's just like adding more monsters.

My opinon of major updates are Leafre/4th Job, our UI Updates and Masteria stuff. Why? Because with Leafre, we got 4th job. That's a huge element of this game. The last patch that bought the slew of UI updates, I use the stuff added in the Patch almost every time I log on. NPC chat, Item Arrangement, Windowed Mode, Macros. I used it all. It makes the game a lot more user friendly. Now, Masteria, the reason I'd think this is a major update over all the other towns is because it's something we can call our own. It's gMS created content, and very good content at that. Something we all can get excited over, because it's new and a surprise. We haven't seen Previews of it in jMS or kMS.

Isaac, I'm not saying you're wrong on any of your points. But it really just comes down to a matter of opinion. And don't get me wrong, I always love reading what you have to say. It's all very interesting.

Btw, has anyone thought that we might not get all of Crimsonwood keep in one go and that it'll come out in segments of 3-4 maps every month or something? (I personally wouldnt want to see that but... yeah >_>)

What I don't understand is why people don't think certain things will be tested?
I mean, sure, MTS and Multi-pet/Level 200 stuff weren't actually tested but those weren't big enough for their own test server (and the 2nd part there was SUPPOSED to be tested if Nexon had thought things through)

The Masteria update seems to be the best bet right now. I'm guessing Pirates will come out at the bare end of summer to keep us waiting a bit.

I'm literally hoping we don't get pirates, I'd rather not have to hunt stuff to gain mass profit and just sit around all day like I do right now. :/

We got a long road ahead of us before we'll even see that as a minute possibility..

They said there was something big coming by the end of summer. With the way things look, Time Temple is no where near completion. They just made a UI update, so that only leaves more areas to come, more clothes, the bosses, and Pirates. I doubt anything else will make an appearance.
