would it be a good idea to go ahead and make a to-be pirate and get it to level 29? there are no hp or mp adding skills in 1st job, and the hp/mp boost you get when you advance is still able to get when you advance at 29,right?

You loose around 150-200 HP from advancing at 29. :[

Beginners get 12-16 HP per level, while Pirates get something like 20-26. :/

Not to mention Beginners are less fun to level because you only have 3 skills >_>;

PQ via Henesys to 21, then Kerning to 29. :P

Being an archer, that ~200 HP means too much for me to advance any later than 10.

Just do What I'm doing, Get the pirate to be up to level 10, and then collect a crapload of EQ items. (I'm getting enough to level him to 21)

It's around 10 HP a level. Infighters needn't worry too much, 200 HP won't be much for them, but Gunslingers should. :f4:

Yeah, he'll only have 3 SP then, but he was saying that it's affordable because they are no 1st job skills that absolutely must be maxed. Even though that's the case he'll be missing out on Dash, which is still used in solo 4th job, Quick Motion, which kinda helps, and slow leveling in the early 30s.

I only know because of all the "I advance at 29, yes?" threads. ._.

I'm not planning on skipping 1st job altogether, just levels 11-20
:excellent:

I might even EQ all the way to 25, but I'm running out of inventory space, and patience.

I'm eq-ing my pirate to whatever level i have the items for...
i have like 3-4 mules full of Zombie teeth and cellion tails ready to exchange till i have none left =P

and then i have several empty mules ready to keep all the potions that i get from the exchange quest xD

Beginners are fun :)

Anyway. I'm not doing any of this as Pirates aren't really all that fun IMO (from experience on my friend's KMS char).

well, i like how gunslingers play, and maybe you were playing an infighter? they look much more boring. plus, since you have an islander an are used to low dmg, gunslinger might be the path for you?

Gunslingers are nothing like Beginners. Damage has nothing to do with it.

no i'm talking about how seeing as though everyone hates gunslingers cuz of low damage, and (obviously) beginners have low dmg, she might be ok with the low dmg. i'm not referring at ALL to the playstyle. plus it was just a suggestion =/
