'Tis the season for giving and receiving. This year, I'm going to be giving away a gift/s to the person/s YOU nominate. I know everyone would like to win something for themselves, but how about wanting to give a gift to someone you feel is most deserving of it. Here's how it will work:
Send me a PM with your nomination and tell me WHY you feel this person deserves it.
We would appreciate the thought, but neither Eos nor myself can be nominated for this event. ANY other person on Southperry can be nominated though. You could technically nominate yourself, but that would defeat the point of the contest, right? LOL!
Please keep all questions within this thread so questions and answers aren't repeated.
PLEASE be nice and keep your comments to yourself. If I find anyone bashing people who are possible nominees for this contest, they will automatically be disqualified if they are among the nominees. 'Tis the season to be kind, too.
Prizes are yet to be determined and will be dependent upon participation.
Judging is also dependent upon participation.
The person/s winning the contest will have their choice of a gift card. (there will be several different options to choose from)
Submissions must be sent to me no later than December 22th @ 11:59pm PST. No late submissions will be accepted.
Please also be sure to tell all of your friends. Who knows, maybe they will nominate YOU. ;)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS SOUTHPERRY!!!!

Will there be a breakdown of who was voted for? Maybe not necessarily X amount voted for Y (if you think it's unnecessary), but just a list of users will suffice for me.
I'm being mean and vetoing Fiel as well. He already has an incentive plan for us to show how much we appreciate him and it wouldn't be fair to everyone else for him to hog the spotlight since he clearly has a leg up on 'doing the most'.

Might I remind you all that there is one person who has given away tons of stuff? I think it's about time he gets something too.

Can we have more than one nomination per person?

That's what mults are for

Not really. There can only be one winner after all. Who do you want to win?

Reasoning could be something like "I want X to win, but I know s/he doesn't really stand a chance. So, among the popular members, I'd rather Y win than any of the others."
(A bit like voting for the independent presidential candidate... and also the lesser evil of the 2 real contenders)
That doesn't apply here, it's not a popularity contest. Volume means nothing. Best reason wins.
The best way to think of this is you've been handed a gift certificate and given a countdown to hand it to someone else you think is deserving, with a note explaining why you think they should have it out of everyone else.

Fair enough. I only asked because I had two people in mind and didn't want to end up having to choose between them so I figured it wouldn't hurt to find out.
I managed to pick one in the end without much difficulty so it's all good. c:
Perhaps a <form> would be best, eh.

Too one-off to bother. Especially since it'll all have to be shoved semi together in the end any way for reviewing.

If you submit that thing you wrote some months ago about me I would surely win.

Don't think i have been an active member of this forum long enough to have a worthy say in this.
I shall have to give this some thought..
Have fun, bros. May the top-tier contributor that's not Fiel win.

Which is clearly me, but alas, I must decline~
Also, interesting contest idea (and by that I mean that I'm relieved that it's best reason and not volume that wins it).
This should open it up to the people who aren't the top on the contributions list, but are still very well liked for other reasons.
Fantastic "contest" idea! (Who came up with it? They should be getting major brownie points. ;))
Merry Christmas~

Also, when you announce the winner, will you tell us the reason that was submitted for them or will that be kept private?

I missed this. John, Mute, Rick, Greg, Ji, Throws, & Kurtle would be picks (I probably forgot someone). Afro is also very old school, but he was a very good friend when he was still on the site in it's early days. Moonlapse, Sarah, & Rob are also bros.
