Had this removed from the Apple discussion boards earlier today. Punks. Hopefully the same won't happen here :|

I'm hoping to digitize my movie library. My goal is to create a digital copy of the DVD (including various audio tracks, subtitles, menus) on my external hard drive. I've been using HandBrake for just importing a DVD with subtitles, but I'd like something that could replicate the ability to choose episodes/scenes and include bonus features.

Does such a thing exist? If I have to pay for it, so be it; just wondering what my options are.

Thanks in advance for any help you folks have!

Off the top of my head I think you could try to copy the ISO for all your DVD movies and store them on your hard drives. Then mount the ones you want to watch to a virtual drive with something like Daemon Tools. The only downside to this that the ISO images will be larger files compared to just ripping the movie from the DVD and encoding it. But you do get all the bonus features, scene selections and all that.

I don't think space will be a huge issue, considering how cheap external hard drives are these days. I'll give your suggestion a try and see how it works.
