Skip to the bottom if you're not interested in details.
A few weeks ago I bought another 8800GT to run SLI in my computer, and in other games performance is great, but when it boils down to maplestory... ick. Even though maplestory isn't capable of making use of more than 1 graphics card, and even more than 1 cpu core(duo cores don't affect your maplestory unless the clock speed is higher than a single core). Back on topic, ever since I got the new card and enabled SLI, bossing on maple was a trainwreck, having fps down to like 5 during 3rd body zakum which should NOT be happening on this computer. I found out after a while that my CPU was the bottleneck with the whole thing, one core(I have a 2.4ghz quad-core) was maxing out, being all that maple could make use of, and it was hitting my graphics/fps rate pretty hard.
I never had that problem with the CPU before I installed, and enabled SLI.
Long story short, enabling SLI caused a huge lag problem while bossing(Zakum, Horntail). If you have a similar situation where you haven't been able to figure out why, even with a godly system, try disabling sli through the nVidia control panel.
I don't know if ATI Crossfire people have the same problem, but I'd be interested in knowing if anybody here has or hasn't had problems.:glitter::glitter:
Here's my PC specs to avoid the question being raised:
Intel Q6600(2.4ghz core 2 quad processor), 2x 8800GT SLI, Asus p5n-e sli motherboard, 3gb RAM, 320gb 7200rpm HD(sata), 850Watt power supply and an antec 900 case.
