Next week, huh?

I believe so.. Then Comiket is in August which my friend is going too.
There's so much jelly right now. It's oozing off of me.

School starts the 10th. Can't make it down, he even had a ticket ready for me to fly on over.
Next year though, since I'm already planning on visiting Seoul and Tokyo regardless. Might as well go during Comiket.

And Otakon, which is probably what you meant (tired as hell), nah. It's not worth the trip to Baltimore.

Seoul may not be a good idea (North Korea just being plantains more so than usual recently). And whether Tokyo laws aren't up the pomegranateter even more; it may or may not be worth going to either of those places. Try Yakushima if you have the money.

My friend lives in Seoul and says everything is perfect. I'm not worried about North Korea.
I'll just be staying in Tokyo, the only thing I'll probably actually DO in Tokyo would be Comiket, other than that it'll be moving around. My buds friend hosts tours there so it's nicer that way.

if you were just going by yourself then it would've been bad. But on the otherhand it's actually better.

Oh, hell no. I might be fine alone in Seoul, but Tokyo or any part of Japan for that matter and I'd end up in the wrong part of town or something.

I would have gone if I had money. My roommate is going, though, and she keeps talking about it.

Rage.

South Korea is fine. If you're honestly worried about another Yeonpyeong then it likely won't happen given the atmosphere generated by the first series of attacks. Seoul is the last place North Korea would fathom attacking. Doing so would equate to political suicide and all out war against not only South Korea, but the West.

Oooh, I wish I had planned to go. Makoto Shinkai is a guest and 5 Centimeters Per Second is my favorite movie... and they're showing his new movie too... ;_;
