Try Dragon Nest Source (http://www.dragonnestsource.com/forum/) or mmosite's Dragon Nest Forum (http://forum.mmosite.com/board/2-49.html)maybe. I had a small look around during closed beta to see what to do, and they have some explanations and descriptions of builds there, though there's a lot of bad engrish going around since they're mainly China DN or Taiwan DN. You can google some skill build calculators as well.

And just so everyone is clear it was stated that closed beta testers just have to patch the client they already have, we don't have to re-download the whole thing. :)

Heh, I deleted my client. I didn't want it taking up space if I wasn't using it. Also, aren't all of our "good" names gone? Figured Nexon would have deleted our characters meaning we lost them and their names.

Oh. I never saw anything about CBT characters being deleted, so I assumed they would be kept.

What server are we all going to play on? I'm central but I'd prefer East. Argenta sounds better than Gerrant.

Only difference is that Argenta has been adopted as the PvP server by the player-base.

Hmm I played the Chinese version of this. I had a broken English patch but it was still a lot of fun, especially as an Acrobat (Don't know what the localized name for the class is; haven't looked anything up on it). It got fairly challenging after, especially the Minotaur Nest. Biggest turn off was the fatigue system though, as running higher level difficulty=more fatigue lost. Think I stopped playing at about Level 27.
Guess I'll ponder trying the NA version.

I have the crossbow, do you have any Apprentice Mage items? Not the tiara, I have 3 of those. I also have a spare Monk Trainee Galero, Wand and Shield. Also do we have a guild?

i just made the "MoonBlood" guild in argenta, i've been using that name for ages. and i get a lot of level 10 crap, if anyone needs anything (again, argenta) just call, happily taking warrior equips too., currently have the level 10 shoes and booties for archers

Holy crap I never expected such a huge difficulty jump from masters to abyss. Tried to solo Forest Sanctuary at level 14 and got wrecked at the boss. Died for the first (2nd and 3rd) time in this game.

yea, i just solo'd masters ancient temple excavation, it wasn't pretty and had to revive once, not cool, but hey! finally some difficulty!

Don't they do that in earlier stages too? I swear I fought two bosses from before in the dungeon that has the undead warrior from the invasion or something. That Woods dungeon.

I don't know, I never did the abyss modes for the earlier dungeons. This one had one of the boss dark elves in the middle of 8 other dark elves + 5 shield orcs + 1 regenerating orc or something like that. It was a small square area to fight in.

2nd section had a boss orc which some how got glitched behind this one area so I thankfully did not have to deal with him running after me.

No, not on Abyss mode. I fought what I thought was the Catacombs boss in a normal difficulty dungeon. Believe the master level had three? Not sure.

Abyss on the map with the Gargoyle boss is a super fun boss fight. Can't say the same for getting to it though. Dark Elves are a peach. I'm only level 8 =[ Add ImpulseEXE on Gerrant. I'll likely be on tomorrow.

yea... don't get every skill you can get (wastes SP just learning them) and enhancing stuff >>>, seriously, if you get those level 5 equips while questing, go to the smith and enhance them all to +6, the difference is amazing

Pretty sure the quest reward gear is un-enhanceable. Enhanced stuff is super duper good though. You can spend skill points more frivolously in 1st job since you get a reset, but you should have a good idea for what you want to get to in 2nd job before hand, unless you want to get a feel for what each skill does before deciding.

but yea, you can only enhance drops from monsters. also, use axes/hammers early on instead of swords, swords can't hit enemies on the ground as much as the other two

That was pulled from the data, but it does feel lower to me. You can recube stuff, theres are xtals that reset an items potential. I forgot what they're called though.

You can transfer stuff if you have a 2nd computer. There's an NPC where you can list up to 5 items. I don't know about the maker/crafting stuff.

SP are for both first and second jobs. You will need to allocate some SP in your first job even though you're in the 2nd job. The level requirements are different for each skill lvl up.

Materials aren't needed until +8 from what I've seen and it only costs 1 or 2 copper per each attempt. It's more than worth it to grind all your equips to +6, I've had a few boom going to +7 but it's not common.

Having lots of fun on my Cleric, now at Level 3. I keep getting Sorceress stuff, though. At least I learned how the trade window works when I traded for Cleric stuff with this random Level 5 Sorceress.

And as it turns out, the west coast server is Valskud or something. At least there's only one west coast server for now, no confusion there.

Hmm... I'm not sure. My stun rate is really low anyway so I wouldn't notice. Maybe later I'll test it since stun equips are really cheap.

Solo the highest difficulty dungeons you can. It's faster solo during low levels for two reasons: 1) you get all the kill exp, 2) most of the time you'll get a higher grade by yourself. Also do all of your commission quests. They're really easy since most of the time they just require to run through the dungeon.

Yep, a skill reset is the level 15 cash gift reward. It only lasts for 7 days though. :/

Enchanting is pretty much cost friendly until 20+. It goes up a bit from 15+, though it's still not a lot:

I found it sorta hard too. Did you try zooming in? It got a bit easier and strafe shot so you can avoid the 3rd piercing shot. Use magic arrow for a group or that pierce skill shot for further away. Double shot helps as well.

Maybe you guys just spend a lot more time grinding than me running around \o/. I only got to 15 after two days. While some of you guys hit 20+ `-`.

Plates are used to make crests, which you can equip. Talismans are just money fodder for now. Also, added. :D

I've broken two Blue Lion Flails. I'm about to just give someone the flail and Crude Onyx to upgrade it for me e_e

On a side-note, Saslavan is a great way to farm gold. Kill him, and when he drops Tears of Soul, NPC them for around 3g each. Also, if you get any Poison Essences, hold on to them so you can craft an attribute on your weapon if you're a Warrior or Cleric.

Then came the boss fight. 15 minutes filled with cheese tactics later (I punched the Dark Elves to death rofl), and I got a Sponge Cake from a white rabbit and two rares. Serious? I've gotten better stuff in master difficulty >_>

About the revive system, do we get 5 freebies every day or something? And what does R do when you're not dead?

Most people just do Abyss for the EXP or titles. If you're looking to farm items, do Normal or Easy, as it doesn't affect the drop rates, just the number of monsters in the dungeon.

Oh man, for some reason, I can never get higher than an A on Prayer's Retreat Master. Even with doing no damage runs, high combos, and massacre bonuses, I never seem to rack up enough points.

Eh, the game really picks back up at Lv16 when you unlock the rest of the dungeons.

12-16 was kinda fast for me, though, cause I'd been doing Abyss runs since around Lv10.

acrobats are a melee class for the most part. they get in, do damage, get out. ranged attacks are mostly fillers or hit when they're knocked down.
