View Full Version : [Aran] Aran controlling problems and more

I'm having serious problems controlling my aran, at least at LHC:
1.
I accidentally use Judgement way too early because Toss and Judgement have so similar commands and I spam Toss command FAST. Therefore I lose combo when I just used combo recharge >_>
2.
I accidentally enter a portal while using whirlwind(or rolling spin) and Final Toss. This is mostly a problem at LHC where the party mobs the bottom to the corner(s).
3. Additional question:
I have lv.10 OS, Level 2 FB and maxed Final Toss/Sudden Strike. Now Obviously Final Toss is better for multiple targets, but due to my low OS and FB level, is it also better DPS for single targets? What I also found out is that Toss has significally better range than OS.

Final Toss has enough range to avoid the portal don't stand on top of the portal inside the mobs no reason too.

1. You could try putting your attack key above your up arrow key so you can just roll your fingers across or press them in sequence.
2. Either stand on top of the mob or away from the mob. Toss and rolling spin have pretty good horizontal range. This is where freeze standing comes in handy.
3. Yes, you'd probably need 15-20+ in both overswing and final blow for this to be false.

I know, but that just doesn't seem handy, cause I probably couldn't do it fast enough and the end key above my up arrow key is the key I've always used for HP pots. It would be hard to get used to it.
The way I currently Toss is, I hit the keys "at the same time", but I keep my thumb slightly lower, so that my thumb lands the 'down' key first, before my another finger lands at the 'up' key right after that. At the same time I have my another hand on ctrl to hit it right after that. I can now repeat this faster than I can toss in MS (and as a result, after I stop the cycle, Toss will continue for like 3-5 hits more).

Get a controller and map a FT macro to a key.

Still can't avoid accidental Judgements. It grinds my gears when I constantly lose 100 combo. I should have just never added any SP to that skill >_>
Get a controller and map a FT macro to a key.
Is there a way to macro it with some free program without a controller?

AutoHotKey apparently does so.
I've personally never used it though.

Still a 3rd party program.
Is it against the ToS? Yes.
Will you ever get in trouble for using it? No.

You want to bring up the ToS discussion huh...
Interesting coming from you.

Are you accusing me of something?
Nop.
I just find it interesting that people bring up the ToS when we all break it.
B/S> NX is against the ToS.
Glitching is against the ToS.
Everything is against the ToS.

I don't think AutoHotKey would be considered a 3rd party program since it doesn't interact with Maple in any way.
What's next? Can't run a browser because it's "3rd party program?"

Aran key commands are indeed stupidly annoying. I mean, what is the exact point of having their rush skill be <-- + --> + Attack? If you want to rush one way you should have to input the other direction >.> It's counterproductive. I go the wrong way on accident all the time. why would they change it from --> + --> + Attack? (or whatever way you're rushing)?
There's really no way to avoid the portal problem.
