Wanted to get there around 11 but ended up getting there around 12:30. They started processing people around 3:15 and we ended up getting our baddges around 5:30 i think. Then went into line #2 for concert tickets. Ended up getting something decent I think for miku tickets, row 26~ from the stage (Farthest back row of the first section)

Day 0 report!

- Wake up at 6 o' clock.
- Go over to friends house at 7:30 AM.
- We go to her boyfriends house and wait for him until 12:30 (Because his phone was off)
- I tell her that her boyfriend is probably sleeping, he is.
- We leave, go to a Japanese market and get $130 worth of Japanese s'hit.
- Find a friend in line, get our badges at 4 ish, get our Miku and Maon Kurosaki tickets right after. Perfect seats.
- Go to the Little Tokyo Dinner Meet-Up I organized, 60 people come from the forums (AX Forums)
- Back at hotel, planning for Day 1. Can't sleep. ENERGY DRINKS AND BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING!

FFFFffffffff- Gonna go look for BTA's stuff tomorrow and find me some Madoka Magica - Highschool of the Dead stuff tomorrow. :)

Day 1 was so busy and I expect it to be busier today. Miku + kalafina concerts today.

And saw lots of HOTD and madoka stuff for sale.

Day 1... consisted of some f'uck awesome stuff. I went to the Miyuki Sawashiro guest of honor panel and 50 people got selected out of a full room to get her autograph and I was one of them. So I went and got my HOTD desktop mat/poster signed by her and she personalized it :333 She asked for a handshake cause I was cosplaying TK; her people were really strict with her so that's why she asked most likely haha.

I gotttt my ClariS Magica CD, two Miku posters, a few HOTD posters and fanart, and BTA's hardcopies. Only spent about 50 or so bucks. Sunday + Monday are my spending days, today is enjoy Miku concert and HOTD panel day.

Incredibly disappointed. A STAFF member told me on the forums that the HOTD panel was SUGGESTED to be 17+ - I turn 17 in less than a month and they looked at me like I was crazy and kicked me out of line. One of my favorite anime and I can't even see the creators of it. Awesomeeeeee..

There was a bomb scare earlier.

Also, someone was streaming the Nico stream on Ustream. At some point Nico cut him off. I think someone's streaming from their phone or something currently, but... yeah.

Best part of the whole thing was when Danny Choo retweeted a fan watching one of the streams, unintentionally linking all of his followers to it:

Bad news is, I don't have anything for her to sign >_> And I don't know where to quickly find something in the exhibit hall to buy and have her sign it. I'm ticket #30 and autographs "start at 10:00" and the hall opens at 10:00

Personally, I don't really like how AX is being run this year compared to last. I understand it's much busier due to miku and 20th anniversary, but the staff/volunteers seem they dont' really give a pineapple about anyone. Things just get delayed and they're pretty unresponsive when you go ask them. A lot of times people don't even know where the end of the lines are because they're so long and they snake around. Instead of the staff members having a sign or directing people, they're no where to be found or they're at the beginning of the line.

Kalafina concert was good, except for the fact some fat short peach was in front of me waving her glowstick and almost hit me numerous times. Miku was good too, except the seats that I thought were good pretty much were worthless since the second miku appeared, almost everyone stood up blocking everyone's vision behind them. And the 50 billion glowsticks didn't help either.

Really hoping tomorrow will be a lot less busy. And I can find something for maon to sign.

It actually didn't matter too much. Most people who didn't get an autograph probably didn't know since they didn't mention it at the concert, but the 10am autograph session yesterday (sunday) got cancelled because maon got ill saturday night and decided to rest so she wouldn't end up cancelling her concert. She seemed find at the concert though which is good. It might have been the reason why she didn't do the encore like people wanted. She did end her concert on time but kalafina went over by like 30 minutes so if she really wanted to, she probably could.

With that said, hopefully she'll be at the open autograph session today. I still don't have anything for her to sign though which kind of sucks. I would love to buy one of her CDs but I can't find any at the booths (Or HOTD OST CDs). She's definently one of my new favorite artists, really enjoyed her concert a lot. Only like 1 year old and not too well known, but I'm pretty sure she's going to be a big name.

And she is a game/anime otaku <3

Looking back on my recollection of AX, I don't feel like I did too much.

Day 0:
I got into LA at about 5:30, so went to IHOP. Hopped in line with my girlfriend and friends at about 8 or so and camped out. We walked around with a couple people holding the spot in line and whatnot. Got my badge at about 3:15 PM.

Day 1:
Auditioned in AX Idol (and didn't make it obviously). Missed watching my friend's band (Midnight Shinigami) in Battle of the Bands since they scheduled it to coincide with AX Idol -_- But Midnight won though. Hung out in the Karaoke room while my band's singer participated. She got 4th so free stuff for her.

Day 2:
We decided to not go to AX this day and went to Disneyland instead. WOOOO

Day 3:
Went to Little Tokyo, headed back to the con for Acoustic Karaoke. Won best group performance and got free stuff. :D Also performed a couple songs at the acoustic open mic after the contest. Went to check out the dealer's room. Got my abs autographed by Takahata101. :tongue:

Day 4:
Went back to the dealer's room again after checking out of our hotel for some sales and whatnot, then headed home. :O

Day 2: Got in line for my badge at around 9:30 AM and was in and walking around by 10:10, which my friend was jealous about cause he waited for a good 2 hours on day 1. We mostly walked around and took photos of all the cosplay, and boy, were there some good ones (pics when I can). We went to the Arakawa Under The Bridge showing, which had a guest. The guest was the voice of Maria from the show, which I learned also sings the opening song (<<<Love the opening songs if ya didnt catch it in the Currently airing thread). She read a line from the show and then they started the showing and I sadfaced, cause I was hoping they would dub the show, which woulda been interesting to see/hear if done right. After the first episode aired, we went and did more photo taking and then left.

Day 3: We got in at about 10:00 and headed right for the El Shaddai station, since it was always packed when we passed by it the day before. The game was interesting, and should be more so as full game. After a leisurely through Artist alley, we ran into an old friend of mine and then went off to the manga lounge for a lil while. From there we did some digging for any deals we could find that we wanted to partake in and then we left with a lot more photos taken.


I really only bought 1 thing, and that was Baccano! on DVD for 30 bucks, which I also got a neat Spice and Wolf coin with the purchase. I was tempted to buy a lot of things in artist alley, theres really a lot of nice art there, but I always weighed the usefulness of what I was going to buy. I would have jumped at Arakawa if they were indeed dubbing it but $60 bucks for a show I already have downloaded in subs was really pricey. Overall, I had fun, and Im definitely going to buy a 4 day pass when they send the email for really cheap passes. Next year Ill look into more what kind of panels they will be having. Im hoping for something with PSG next year :f2:

Anyone besides me go to the 18+ panels? They're usually some of the most entertaining because the hosts are pretty cool. Mostly talking about the fakku panels.

As for the 18+ panels, I was interested in them, but I was more or less at the whims of my friend, since he drove. Mean or not, I plan to go more solo next year, since it will let me do more things.

Yesterday they said passes $55 and premier $119, but people were raging since last year it was $45. So today they announced that until july 31st, 4 days will be $45 and premiers $99.
