Lillin is a girl, it doesn't matter the fact she rules Rien, she does it because she's the only human in that island, and helped my Maha, she rules Rien. The Empress is a kid, still. She's not like 100 year old for one thing, she's grown up in Future Ereve, which is just less than 20 years from the actual age. Looking at the other citizens, Alex is a young man, while he was a teenager in the present.

I can't really get why the pirate girl is 16. It looks like a kid like all the other characters. And the elf, even being a lot older than what she looks like, still does look like a kid. The only one that is indeed an adult is the Aran girl. But still, she looks like a kid in that video.

It's not irrelevant, a big part of the 8th anniversary is the Rising Star event, which is about Lilin, Valerie (pirate girl), and Cygnus being pop stars. I don't know why Aran and elf girl were included in the video though.

I dunno, maybe it's because I've been playing the 8th anniversary events before I saw this, but, it makes perfect sense in the context of the anniversary event.

The anniversary event is basically a competition between girls for what I assume is "Maple Idol". (Speaking of which, is there a feminine form for idol? o.O I feel like there should be.)

The white envelope with the Maple leaf is the invitation to compete, and the rest of the video is basically the girls competing and performing.

It seems random that they would just add a random character into the video as they do have many of choices, plus the next update is archer related... It could be just totally random tho...

it is very unlikely that it is. in the video, each character has a unique thing that related to them like weapon, town, etc. the elf seems really normal without any weapon and the "town" is nothing special. so i would get the elf character represents the population of female players

So... a fusion of Japanese anime and Korean K-pop MTV. If anybody here has watched SNSD and the likes, you find that it is already much more Korean than Japanese, and in terms of the dancing is it very K-pop.

Nothing wrong with the feminism - in-game vulgarities are much worse than this, and there isn't much harm done here. But I would say that they could do away with some of the close-up hip-shaking... Otherwise, this is perfectly fine [for the koreans] since this isn't very far off from what they really are.

I should also add that this sort of thing is attractive to them. Looks like they're trying hard. Ok-ok dancing and animation though.

It's just how some people were raised. Heck, I know people who think curly hairstyles on women is bad cause it makes them look 'easy', same with women who wear shorts. Doesn't mean they're right. Nor wrong either.

Until you realize this, you probably won't even try to understand any arguments that do not coincide with your own opinions. While that is a normal way to go through life, it can't be all that fulfilling, being constantly filled with stress (even if you can't admit it, it is there) every time someone has an idea that is even remotely in contrast with your own world view. I live in a society that persecutes consensual sexual relationships between adults of the same sex, and people who even think about having consensual sexual relationships with people of the same sex. I'm trying to look at it from an outside point of view, because it truly is two entirely different things, to me. 2D =/= 3D, no matter the material.

My one and only question is, why do people even care? At this point, I don't even see anything sexual about real children at all, I'm more emotionally attracted to them because of their refreshingly "nice" attitudes as opposed to the toxic attitudes many adults have. If someone molests a child, they were almost certainly going to do it anyway, and they are simply being called pedophiles because it is a shorter term even if it has no relevance to them. I dont know if i remember this correctly but all of the adventurer artwork in-games are really job-based and none represent the whole community (being cash-shop influenced). the artwork has many cash shop features in it so i think it works in some sense

I have no problems with it, I'm 23 and my parents have known for half a decade now. Most of my family knows as well, and they still let me play video games and stuff with their kids without being afraid I'm going to go all psycho on them. The main thing you need to judge a person on is character, not mindset. I'm already fine with the fact that I will be a virgin for the rest of my life, it doesn't really bother me that much to be honest; the only thing I've ever seen from any relationship is an mediocre entry, a boring center and a bitter ending, and I'm not interested in the whole "one night stand" concept, either.

Hiver is decimated by low levelled Arans and Evans, the black witch gets owned by level 120 Cygnus Knights, and that one stone guy and shadow swordsman get pwnt by lower level Arans. They can't even catch a resistance group RUNNING AROUND EVERYWHERE ON JAGUARS AND MECHS right under their own noses in the town they're supposed to be terrorizing. Seems that his underlings are so useless that he ends up having to corrupt the good guys (Van Leon, Empress Cygnus) and the big bosses (Zakum, Horntail) to wreak his chaos for him.

That isn't even the worst part of it, the worst part of it is that they're talking about her shaking her butt, but far worst things happen in the video.

Let's take a look at it frame by frame shall we?

HD rip of video, looks pretty nice.

The video starts off innocent and nice, with the Empress sending invites to her friends, but little do we know it is for a far more sickening purpose.

0:23 - Here we see two of the girls in new outfits joyful and happy, happy because they're going to send time with their friends, or something else, something wrong? We'll find out soon.

0:23.5 - In less than a split second we see Lilin's backside hinting at what is going to happen.

0:25 - We see her face, see has what seems to be a frown on her face, why? We are going to find out.

0:26 - We now see Aran wagging her finger with her hips popped out as to say "No, not just yet."

0:26 to 0:30 - We see Aran and the Empress change their outfits, and then we see a pig winking. This pig is obviously a reference to the type of men they're about to perform for.

0:37 - 0:47 - We watch in horror as the girls are moving their bodies in many different ways provocatively to get their 'clients' worked up before the main event.

Also, at 0:41 - 0:42 we get to the part everyone is talking about, the close up of the Empress' butt as she shakes it back and forth, but this is only a speed bump during this horror filled video as it gets worst.

0:48 - We see the Empress falling and three people reaching out for her, but are they actually reaching out for her or no longer able to contain their lust did Mihile purposely push the Empress so all three could attack her?

0:52 - Here again we see Lilin, but she is wearing short shorts, on a winter island that is always frozen. . . Sickening.

0:54 - Here we seen Valerie laying down innocently as it seems, but if you look closer you see she has her legs wide open just waiting and hoping for the octopi to take advantage. Disgusting

0:58 - 1:21 - We see here all the girls welcoming us to watch more of their sickening display. But during this we see more of Lilin and how she still has a frown, has she become tried of joining her friends as they show off for the "pigs"? Does she know what is going to come afterwards and want to avoid it?

1:14 - 1:19 - We see the Empress shaking her butt again, but this time we get to see all five girls with their hips popped out and their butt sticking around while facing towards us, almost as if inviting the user. . .

1:22 - A lot of sexual connotations from the Empress and Aran going on here.

1:24 - We see how all the girls are throwing themselves around not caring what happens to them, but we see Lilin trying to keep her skirt down, obviously she is the only one that has any innocence left. The only one out of the five with any type of sanity left.

1:26 - Look at all the perverse sexual lust in the eyes of everyone part of the crowd. Doesn't it make you wanna throw up?

1:28 - 1:32 - We see the Empress alone walking with special attention payed to her chest and backside, and then the unthinkable happens, we get a close up of her chest before she realizes the viewer was staring and smiling obviously liking this kind of attention.

As the video ends the girls wave goodbye as the viewer leaves them to the obvious fate of what happens after they're done preforming for the crowd.

This video is an abomination, with the obvious hints to the young girl's taking part in sexual acts, how everyone in the video lusts after them, and how the girls purposely show off in a way they shouldn't so off because they enjoy whatever attention they can get. The video has a deeper purpose as well.

1. To put the girls on display for anyone and everyone.

and

2. To make the viewer whether they're male, female or a monster lust after these girls and by default make them want to go into the real world a find young girls to lust after.

I am going to be sending my report in to KMS right away so they can see how evil their video is and remove it right away.

I'll remind you all that one's interpretations and experiences do not necessarily overlap with another person's interpretations i.e. it's subjective. Therefore, please do not overly generalise. Aside from the close-up hip-shaking that I disagree with, this is hardly far off from the many kinds of videos/MTVs/youtubes that the Korean younger generation can be exposed to.

The only difference between this video and the other videos is that this is a cartoon/anime, so these connotations are masked by the kawaii-ness of the characters and the positive feel (but obviously you all can detect it). Still not unlike most other videos.

IANAL but I plan to be one someday. I just turned in my Constitutional law final and this clusterpineapple of a thread was slightly relevant.

In America, child pornography is an issue that is as complicated as it is sensitive as it deals with the First Amendment and the well-being of children. As surprising as it may be for some of you, child pornography can be protected speech if it falls under a couple of guidelines. The quick and dirty is your CP is safe as so long as

1. It isn't Obscene
2. It doesn't involve real children
3. You're not seeking to obtain child porn with the belief that it includes real children.

The third part is tricky and comes down to the PROTECT act of 2003. For simplicity's sake I'll go over all three for your sake.

Regarding Obscenity, American courts use the Miller test (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller_test) to determine if the material is Obscene. The first two parts of the miller test regard local communities and the third follows a national standard. In simpler terms for the first two parts you compare what is considered okay in your local neighborhood (as some places are more conservative or liberal than others), and in the third one you consider what everyone in the nation would consider. The material in question only needs to fail one part to be considered not obscene.

So for our example some posters consider the video in question to be an adorable music video. It is also evident that the producers of the video put considerable effort in animating all of it. This means the material failed the third prong as it did have serious artistic value thus making it not obscene.

The Supreme Court case Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashcroft_v._free_speech_coalition) determined that the government couldn't limit virtual depictions children that were not obscene as it didn't fit the original justification the government had made in another case called Ferber. Ferber determined that the state could criminalize many aspects of child pornography as the sexual abuse and exploitation of children was needed to produce such material. Virtual children can't be exploited or abused thus the government had no reason to prohibit it.

The last of the three is where things get tricky. How the PROTECT act is written it enables prosecutors to go after defendants as so long as they pander for child porn, even if the material contains no children. So if you were to go to a random IRC and write something like "Got some hot ass loli's w/ couple upskirts" and an FBI agent online as well. Depending on numerous factors that is all the agent needs to burst through your door and arrest you even if you meant the above video. So basically if you write about wanting or having child porn and it looks as if you are conveying the belief that the material contains real children you can be arrested and charged.

Up to this point it all comes down to having a decent lawyer, and any lawyer worth his salt could get you off on this nonsense.

So all in all, is the material inappropriate, to some yes. Should anyone care, no their opinion is irrelevant because the video would still fail the miller test, and even if it could be considered porn since it depicts virtual children it is permissible as long as you weren't trying to spread it around as real like a dumbass.

Of course take what I said with a grain of salt, as I just finished this final like last night and I'm still unsure if any parts of what I said are flawed or down right wrong. Hope I can be of assistance and get some of you urklings to thing b4 you post.:monocle:

And, correct. 2D is not CP in the US, which is the one and only thing I can respect from this otherwise god forsaken governmental system we currently have. Courts have ruled it unconstitutional in every single case except for one literally since the internet began,and in that one the guy was browbeaten by the police into pleading guilty before the trial even started/he got to speak with a lawyer (note, this only applies to cases where all evidence was 2D in nature, if any actual CP was found with the person, the 2D stuff actually increased the sentence...but there haven't been all that many cases like that, which, while it doesn't surprise me since I find little to no similarities between 2D and 3D, is the subject of a lot of debate in the political world...).

We get it, you're offended, but the material isn't obscene and it isn't fair to equate whole Asian cultures to small extremists sects of middle-eastern groups. You're just hyper sensitive to a benign issue and yet insensitive to whole groups of people at the same time, which will only be an exercise in frustration for everyone involved.

And going on the issue of nude children = CP. That really is never the case except on the prosecution's side when they want to go after you on any possible angle. Hentai depicting children is legal IF it isn't obscene, but good luck finding that :f3: most cases that aren't child pornography but are charged as such are usually works where sex scenes are a small part of everything "taken as a whole"

There's no real honor or valor to being a lolicon. I just do not like seeing them lumped together with other pedophiles. Loli's are not JUST for the sake of the underaged concept of it. I can understand the need to protect children, as I see many children and I feel the need to keep them out of any form of harm as possible. But Lolicon's are not people who interfere with this peace(pedophiles may enter this genre, but the Lolicon's are not to blame, so they must not be confused together.) I'm not saying Lolicon's are special people who are in need of honor. I'm saying they're better off ignored, picking on them is not going to lower pedophilia at all. Saying that ''It will stop SOME people'' is like me saying ''It will PREVENT some people''. While you can argue that Pedophiles may get tempted to take it to the next level after drowning themselves in Lolicon, you can also argue that Pedophiles will stop lusting after REAL children for the outlet of fake anime females(this has actually been stated by some pedophiles who were arrested for reading Lolicon before).

I am not saying they're perfect people, but I have been friends with many people who like Loli's, and they're not even remotely interested in real children. There are many different features to the ''Loli'' body other than the ''under-age'' factor that make them likeable. I have explained this a bit, so it should be a little easy to piece together. Which is why the ''Really 100 years old'' concept is actually much more prefereble for many.

I can understand being creeped out by such a thing, that much is understandable. My goal was never to change Sarah's mind, there are far too many people who think this way, and insult Lolicon's and intermix them with actual pedophiles, changing her mind will not change that. However, that does not mean I can't just sit and not try to defend a completely innocent population. It also annoys me how people say ''Lusting after Pixels is pathetic'', and other ill-informed arguments. Yet when these ''pixels'' portray women who look young, it's suddenly taken as real, as a threat, as something to fear, and something to hate. Where's the logic in this?

There are about 500 more things I can say on this subject, and I can understand a majority of the counter-arguments that will get thrown at me for posting this, so I won't go and post every single reason as this post is probably going to be too large already, and is going to be subject to another flame.

My main point, is that Lolicon's are people who do not need to be brought in as weapons for Anti-Pedophile arguments, they need to be ignored, unless it becomes apparent that REAL children are being seriously harmed from this. Either way, running what he said through Google Translate, it seems that Mazefind is trying to talk about cultural differences between South Korea and the United States. Things like what is portrayed in this video might be part of a social norm in South Korea, while us Westerners might find it offensive, or odd, or whatever. By that, I don't mean that South Koreans believe that pedophilia is right or anything - just that they're used to seeing things like this, and because of that, this probably doesn't have any deeper meaning for them other than 'it's cute'.

So in this case, my "Wife" refers to my oboe. Woodwind musical instruments control most of the openings by covering/uncovering them with flaps. These flaps are padded so that they may seal the opening completely. If you have a leak, obviously it means it's not covered properly, and you won't play the note you want or it doesn't sound as nice! So you check by taking a piece of thin paper (e.g. cigarette paper, because it's cheap) and lightly closing the flap on the cigarette paper, attempt to gently tug out the paper. If the pad is leaking, there you go you've found the problem to your weird sounding instrument. If it doesn't then it means your pad isn't leaking, then the problem might come from e.g. another pad, a poor reed, or simply yourself.

What people consider offensive varies from communities to the different people inside them. As long as the material isn't obscene and doesn't exploit REAL children it is legal at least in the United States.

What am I trying to get at with this? It doesn't matter what you think, nor does it matter what I think. The material in question is fine to have so people can whine all they want but for those who enjoy it they are free to do so as long as what they do is legal.

I don't deal with internet arguments as like this one they dissolve into circlejerks for ideologues where people don't even provide credible evidence so you can't even learn anything from it.

IMO the way to go about this would probably be to compare the rates of child sexual abuse in cultures that have these type of drawings and cultures that do not. Then we could get an idea of how this stuff really effects people.

Yeah, that was my main point with it; I know for a fact that those numbers are false based on the false data pumped into it, from one end or the other, but even with a massive margin for error, what is it that scientists say, "P > .05"? Margin of error is what, like ~10% max? There's no way that even with false data the numbers would be that HUGELY different, especially not with so many tests conducted all pointing to a single answer.

Personally I find that untrue; if it is a release specifically for a certain demographic/area/culture and they find nothing wrong with it, and it wasn't even technically supposed to be here in the first place, then it truly has nothing to do with us and we have no say whatsoever over whether it is right or wrong.
