I just found my HG cartridge today..
I know I missed out on the legendary dogs, but what others have I missed out on?

Go to Gamestop now and you can get Celebi which unlocks Zorua, the pre-evolved version of Zoroark, which the dogs unlock.

No, they weren't useless. The Zoroark is a special one. But you can evolve the Zorua into a regular Zoroark so you won't miss the entry at least.

You'll get Zoroark's entry regardless. N uses one during the final battle.

Basically all these events were useless since you can just use something like GameShark.

I should state that I mean using a GameShark to unlock an event to get said Pokemon, not just adding the Pokemon to the game.

However, these events aren't "playing" anything at all. All you're doing is getting these little "official" downloads during events that only last so long. And if you don't take part in the event than your Pokedex is forever screwed over without a trade from someone.

I had thought about that but thought against it in the long run. I think that's what ruins the game for me.
Anyways I got mah Celebi.

And they are tradeable in the GTS. Only one that isn't tradeable last time I tried was Arceus.

Some people do, i see people trading their level 1 magikarps for level 100 arceus! what a deal!
