View Full Version : Snipe Damage
I think it's generally known that Snipe does 1mil on regular mobs and 500k on bosses but I'm wondering if that's really the case. When I use Snipe on a BF or HH, the HP bar drops by about 1/3. Their HP is 3.5mil-ish so that leads me to think that Snipe still does 1mil on bosses. Does anybody know what's really going on?

How many Snipes does it take to kill them?

Two and some strafes; I never bothered to kill it with just Snipes. I guess I'm really asking if this is a glitch or intended.
Boss had full HP before using Snipe.

Interesting. Try checking whether you can 1-hit King Sage Cat, it has 590k hp.
We know the damage numbers displayed don't always match the damage actually done - I'm sure everyone has experienced killing mobs with a MISS and failing to kill them with hits way above their MaxHP - so this might be yet another case of that, albeit systematic.
Your client displays 500k, but the server, for reasons unknowns, "corrects" it to 1m.
As for whether it's a glitch or intended - I can't see any reason for it to be intended, unless Nexon just likes to troll. However, much as I hate glitch abuses, I think it would be absurd to tell Marksmen to avoid using Snipe on bosses until it's fixed.
^Don't even need to try. I spent 120-133 hunting Piercing Arrow 20 at Sage Cats without luck. I 1hit King Sage Cats with Snipe.

One odd thing, though... I've HS'ed a Marksman at Zak, and his Snipes showed up as 500k on my screen, too. I always thought the damage numbers displayed for other people in the map come from the server... Maybe it's different for Snipe, maybe my client is overriding the server's data in this case?
Weird game, Maple.

that is the current glitch in GMS--snipe says it does 500k, but it's actually doing 1m damage. i look forward to the new snipe, personally.
