Welcome to the bowman section? You're welcome to make any topic about bowmen here.

A HTP is better if you have 6% dex or more on it.

Using that logic, no future threads would be needed in the Bowman's section as everything would be suitable for the stickied threads or the Archer Discussion Thread.

I think it all depends on your budget. Ideally, a well scrolled VIP Bow coupled with a well potentialed (C)HTP would best suit your needs. If you're lacking in meso, keeping a MoN for a while longer may be a good idea.

If you're funding is limited, MoN is the way to go. Especially if you're looking to upgrade other things. I used a MoN on my level 200 BM until last week.

You get the one that you can afford to get, not because it's the best one. If you have infinte money, then a 3 lined potentialed chaos horntail necklace would be your best bet, preferably chaos scrolled for watk. You can go with the MoN for the HP and weapon attack for a MUCH cheaper price and look to invest in more important gears. OR you can blow a huge chunk of your money on a Horntail pendant now and eventually look to invest into something else.

An if you're QQing over "too high base strength", you really shouldn't be. Most archers before Zhelms and such came out, archers like me had overly high strength just to equip our gear. I have 90 base strength myself, and the only reason my damage isn't on par with everyone else's is because i also placed points into HP. you really have nothing to worry about.

Paying for a HTP is stupid. I still use a MoN until i can EARN a CHTP myself.

Kinda being hypocritical there a bit. If people don't pay for an HTP then you wouldn't really earn any profit eh?
I'm with you on one thing though, I typically never buy things and tend to earn them myself.

I don't think it's hypocritical, it's just a mindset that depends on the character that does or does not have the means to earn their stuff. People who can't or people who don't care about price just end up buying it. I wanted to earn my VIP knuckle but i couldn't play during the event and it obviously won't be coming back soon, so i said f'uck it. CHTPs won't go away, and they'll probably be hard to replace unless Nexon comes out with something awesome again. (maybe for anniversary?) Only reason i would ever buy a CHTP is because i can't not disconnect through a run. >.>
