I play on expert, but I'm not that good, can only beat one of the last songs from the last two tiers. But, If you are looking for a real challenge, I can get one of my friends to play some songs on xbox live.
edit: opps forgot to say that we currently have gh2, 3 and aerosmith, might have rock band also in the next day or so.
what the heck, here are some of my scores http://www.scorehero.com/scores.php?user=286177&group=4&game=6&diff=4

I'm good enough to get the Enlightened Guitarist achievement (20 100%s on Expert), but nowhere near good enough to clear TtFaF :-p

I play GH2 and 3, trying to fc Jordan. =x 91% so far.
Well, I know who's good on XBL, I'm friends with jameslikecrazy (http://www.youtube.com/user/jameslikecoulter?ob=4), PriestREA (http://www.youtube.com/user/PriestMLH?ob=1), and I live less than an hour from iamchris4life (http://www.youtube.com/user/iamchris4life?ob=1), who's most known for this. So...Yeah.
As for you psychopat, watch this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU4GLmUXqgs) I'm gonna make another one because I can tap it like 7 different ways now, and with a clearer voice. Lol.

The intro's not the bad part... it's the rest :-P I can get through the intro maybe half the time using the left index for green and the right index for everything else. If I skip the intro in practice mode, I get roughly around 83% on the rest, which isn't enough to keep me alive.
Right now my goal is to 5* One on hard... it's the only one I'm missing to get the Shredder accomplishment.

Just save your SP til the solo, all of it. Or tell me what part you usually fail at, and I'll make you a starpower path.
I need more videos up... =x Plus I need to 5* raining blood still. Kinda of sad.

Got to expert, beat it several times.
After that I went to crap.

I used to play every day too, I was already good when GH3 came out, and I was and still am the only person on the planet to pass Through The Fire and Flames Sightread. (First time you play it) All you have to do is play often enough that you don't get rusty, and you shouldn't have any problems. If any of you need help on a part of a song, if I can do it well, I'll give you a tutorial video or find you one.

I beat the game the first day I got it (GH3).
To me, there was one other song that was harder then Through the fire and flames.
I beat Through the fire and flames like the 2nd time playing, as much as I hate that song.

It was insane. What was that song? One? Or Raining Blood? One was the last song on the third game to be FC'ed. (Full combo, 100% no misses)
Now everything's been FC'ed on all the games except The Devil Went Down to Georgia, but I can't imagine it'll take too long for Chris or James to put a run together...

It is harder, overall, but there's a few tricky parts along with places that require perfect strumming.

I need more videos up... =x Plus I need to 5* raining blood still. Kinda of sad. While I appreciate the offer, I think you overestimate my skill... I still can't even 5* the hard version. I only get about 320k on hard. That, the In Flames song and One are the only 3 songs I don't have 5* on Hard. One is the annoying one because I always get about 2.65 avg multiplier and you need 2.8 for the 5*.
I'm really good at "easy" expert songs, but the fast stuff just rapes me. I think the toughest gold stars I've got are even flow or cherub rock. The latter wasn't FC; I purposely *way* overstrummed the fast ending because I was tired of always -1'ing it.

Well, there's always the option to get better through practice. Just play around in practice mode, that's how all pros get to be that way.

It's weird. The more I play, the less I improve
If I don't play for about 2 weeks, the next time I play I'll improve by like 5-10k on most songs. The guitars are so tiny that it makes me hold my wrist at a weird angle, eventually making it hurt if I play a lot :(
Blaine
2008-09-29, 04:08 PM
Try adjusting your strap. Lol. That can make all the difference.
psychopat

Guitar Hero, you would think that I'm a fucking god at it because I play guitar.
Thing is, I'm not. :( I play expert, but can only 5 star a few songs. Haven't FC'd one song because I'm paranoid of messing up, lol.

In my group of friends, being able to play the piano has helped more than playing the guitar in real life.
Violin apparently doesn't help either :f7:.
I'm crappy, don't own the game, and probably never will.

Yeah.. Guitar hero is basically a guitar with only 1 string.
The only thing that's portable between a real guitar and the game is finger dexterity and stamina... They're both fun but in very different ways.

The other way around? As in a lot of good guitar hero players playing good guitar... I don't quite see the difference.
Or do you mean people who started off playing GH then played guitar and got good.
Either way my brother is great at guitar in real life... His first time playing GH he jumped right to expert and cleared em. =P

I've been playing the guitar for 12 years, and just because you play good guitar hero does not mean you're a good guitarist. Having played the real guitar for so long does indeed help with the coordination of GH. People who claim to play good guitar just becuase they're amazing at guitar hero make me laugh.

A friend at college actually did this. He actually found TTFAF to be harder than The Devil went down to Georgia, but he found Cult of Personality to be even harder xD (all on expert of course, seriously >_>)
I don't play the game very much though, mainly because I don't own it, so I don't have much to say. About the extent of my skills is being able to complete all but TTFAF on Hard, and many songs on Expert.

If I ever get back to my old skill level, I'm gonna try to FC TTFAF on a new 360, and if I can do that on the first run, I should be able to get around 370 gamerpoints in seven minutes.
