I can't say I've been an Archer person as long as you have been.. I've really only enjoyed an Archer since El Nido was released.
But in most MMORPGs that have them, I choose an Archer ^^

Been an archer since... Early 2007? All I know was that I became one out of sheer chance (cousins were already warriors and thieves, pirates didn't exist then, and I had tried out mages in beta and overall disliked their playing style) about a month before KMST started testing 4th job, which I think was Feburary/March of that year. MapleStory was probably the very start of my archer obsession in RPGs and MMOs.

I was an archer in Scania, no less. Land of the Sins. Archer pride, eh? I was forced to quit MS twice, and always came back an archer.

The first time, my laptop got hit by viruses and I gave my account to my little cousins, which was stupid because they proceeded to lose it in a backfired scamming attempt. Second time, during the week that 4th job was released in GMS, my computer suddenly got hit by viruses again. I returned from that about two years later, during Aran's release, and started over in Windia (because who knows how much worse Scania became within those two years). Even though I had quit MS for almost two years after quitting that second time, I still kept tabs on what was happening in MS, to the point where Windia began to sound like Archer Nation or something.

Off the top of my head, I recall these famous archers around SW/SP:
- B0wjob
- That guy with a ridiculous amount of numbers in his name, he was from Khalini and he was ranked #1 archer in GMS two years ago
- MariettaRC
- KaidaTan
- ALastReprise
- IssacGS
- Kai Ancalas (wrote the Revolt of the Archers fanfic)
- IAngeliaL (MSEAer, famous through YouTube, she's the only reason that I established contact with the MSEAers of AsiaSoft forums)

I know there were a lot more...

For three years, I've wanted to become a Bowmaster. I'm finally getting close to that goal... And I'm also anxiously awaiting the Archer Legend. Almost everything I'm doing now is in preperation for her, despite not knowing anything about her abilities.

Oh my god. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod.

I LOVE that fanfic. I sadly never finished reading it but I got very far in it and it kept me on the edge of my seat every chapter. Seeing it mentioned again makes me want to continue reading it, maybe even start over since the last time I read it was about two years ago.

Apparently he just came back very recently. He tried out Big Bang.

As it turned out, my lovely old PC made the game nearly unplayable, because MapleStory is not quite as fun when it takes you all of 5 seconds to press the space bar and use Strafe, during which some level 150 guy with a spear twice as big as he is comes up and nukes the entire map with something that looks like it belongs in an episode of Gurren Lagann. That, and apparently the Big Bang screwed up every single map in the game. Yeah. Finding my way around Henesys was a treat. Still, I did find the Stone Golem Temple, so that's something, I guess.

Nexon did at least one thing right, though. They kept the music for Ellinia.

Like before, it was beautiful.

And he's out to revise Revolt of the Archers.

I wish I could say that it's just a story about MapleStory, big deal, get over it, but that would be a slap in the face to everyone who's ever written a story about MapleStory, and everyone who's ever written fanfiction at all. Just because it's about MapleStory doesn't give you the right to slack off because it's not about Final Fantasy or something, and just because it's fanfiction of all things doesn't give you the right to slack off because it's not a "real" story.

Besides, it wasn't just any story.

It was Revolt of the Archers.

Hi I use xbows, hence my name =O. Started up my marksman around mid 07 I think, working on a WH now =). And the only reason that I made one is because I have a VIP Xbow (that took all my mesos to get and it's still 2 slots left) so I can share most of my equips

Started Maple back in '06 with a Ranger but took awhile for me to get him to 100. Got him to 103 in '08, but decided that a Sniper was better suited for me so I made my ranger a mule and started up a cbowman. Blizzard was just too cool to pass up at the time and when 4th job was revealed, Hurricane looked too boring to me. The power of Pierce and Snipe really peaked my interest since I love big numbers. Now my MM is 129 and I'm glad I made the change. My ranger makes a great FM mule though. :D

My 1st character was a Bowman (with severely messed up stats) who I quitted for a long while when gunslingers came out. As soon as I heard about the buff to AR, I immediately started working on a new Ranger. Even though Battleship torpedo is stronger I still sort of prefer Arrow rain.

Ah, Arrow Rain. It's most of the reason why I wanted to get to Ranger so badly before I knew about 4th job. Even now it's saving my arse from KSers at Pirate Den maps.

Better get to Bowmaster before Chaos patch though. I do not like what they did to Arrow Rain in that patch, both animation and delay-wise.

Working on getting my earrings to Unique, as well as trying to rescroll 3 line 14 ATT Archer gloves (my current ones are 2 lines). Failed a 60% yesterday, so I gotta make another pair of 3 liners. ;~;

I'm kind of waiting for LHC before training my Bowmaster again. I need to get to 160 eventually... playing my Battle Mage in the meantime. :3 But upgrading's my first priority right now.

Training at Pap and Red Dragon Turtles.

Upgrading my 15% red arzuna to a top+bottom combo. I have self-HB on here, but I don't feel that I need it. Going try for 2 seconds of invincibility on the top.

Currently Level 107, training at Pirate's Den 2. Arrow Rain saves my arse from KSers despite my average equips. Trying to level up at least once per day, and get to Bowmaster before March. I wonder if going to Ghost Pirates at Level 110+ is really a good idea or not. I hear they're Fire-weak, but are they really better than Pirates?

I have average equips, hahaha. Almost all of my equips are event stuff/equips that I found by myself.
- 3% DEX Rex earrings
- 3% DEX White Seraph Cape
- 6 ATK Work Glove
- 108 ATK Red Metus 3-lined with +10 DEX potential
- 17 DEX Red Arzuna 3-lined with additional +10 DEX potential
- earned my Deputy Star about two weeks ago
- a Level 17 Evolving Ring along with a Critical Ring and 2 Zombie Army Rings
- a clean Ravana Helm
- Time Traveler's Medal.

The only things I bought were the bow (for 10 mil) and the overall (for 1 mil). I'm that poor. (Come to think of it, if I actually sold my stuff, I'd actually have a lot more money... But I don't want to let go of anything.) >_>

Yeah.. also waiting for LHC, whens it coming :( In the meantime, just Papulatus, Zakum, Scar/Targa, Anego, and CWKPQ
Bowmasters are gonna shine at LHC, because the mobs are so tough, Hurricane will compare to other mobbing moves by other classes :D

You can do it! Ghost Pirates are definitely better, I mean I got SICK of Captains/Krus on my Wild Hunter by 107, but endured them until 110. It was a blessing being in a new training area to me.

Right now I'm trying to decide... should I make a 3 Line Red Armis and scroll it for DEX or stick with my 16 DEX, 3 Line Unique (9% total all-stat) Pria? I'm a bit OCD on the looks and 16 DEX seems a bit meh. But then again, it doesn't matter all that much when I've got good potential stats... any suggestions? :I

Stick with it. I blew through 21 pairs of lvl 35 pants trying to get a 30% to land on a 3 liner....

Hm, how much damage do Ghost Pirates dish out, anyways? I'd guess somewhere in the 900-1100 range. The real question might be how often I should expect to get hit in comparison to Captains/Krus, even with mass Puppet spam.

On a side note, I'm finding Mortal Blow to be quite useful. Before, I thought it would only trigger when you attack an enemy that already has less than 20% HP. But I've observed it triggering on monsters that had more than that before I attacked, with Mortal Blow taking their health down the rest of the way if the intial attack drops their HP below the activation threshold.

(I had a crappy Blue Armis and a decent Blue Metus before, and this Red Armis along with that regular Metus that I found later made me shift from my +10 DEX clean/unpotentialed Blue Arnah Shoes to a 7 DEX Red Arnah. >_>)

(I love the Armis/Arnah set. Some of the best looking armor in the game. Then again, all archer armor tends to look amazing in comparison to what other classes get.)

That is exactly why part of me wants to change overalls. I love looking nice without NX, despite having a permanent set. My Bowmaster has a bit of a colored theme going (thanks to the hair/goggles) and Armis is my favorite overall. Right now I've got a 3% DEX Red Hunter hat, which I'm using until I can actually afford a Chaos Zakum Helmet (I'm taking care of my other equipment first) and it looks amazing with everything else. xD But I might just ignore my OCD and stick with my Pria.

Captains & Krus all the way! I know that Inferno is tons better than it used to be and that the ludi pirates are weak to fire but I dont like tanking so much damage for regular training. (around 1500 per bump I think) Maybe i'll go back there when I can kill them a lot faster.

Don't worry about not training at DGP. I too found it's not worth the potions and occasional deaths training there >_>

When you're 120, try Spirit Vikings. Very archer-friendly map, pretty much the only one these days .-.

I've never actually trained there on an Adventurer (yet), but DGPs were okay on my Wild Hunter. Not exactly a good comparison, though. xD But I have died far too many times there, so I can easily vouch for the deaths part. :x

Once Golden Temple comes out, your training woes should be over until they take it away again. :B

I have no idea where to train at Level 134 :/ I'm in El Nido, so crowded maps aren't a big deal.. because it's El Nido xD

Marksmen have pierce, a mob skill that does 1150% base damage. This skill multiplies its damage by 1.2 for each additional monster it hits, the damage gets larger. As far as I know, when BM kill a mob, they either use 3rd job mobbing skills or just hurricane everything.

The better mobbing is useful now, but according to some friends, Lionheart Castle has much less mobbing. BM/WH will be faster at training there until we get the latest KMS skill updates which give us 225% ultistrafe and 900% x 4 snipe on bosses.

Fun fact: Pierce is the only skill which can break damage caps because the first arrow can hit max damage, and is then multiplied by 1.2 repeatedly. On 400% buff from pyramid pq, marksmen are easily able to do 2.48 million damage on the last monster because of this.

I died already once at Bains try to Hurricane from left to right.. I guess I'll try again.

What other move do you have that can immobilize multiple enemies? Hell, I used IA to finish off mobs when I was training on Blue Dragon Turtles b/c my Pierce wasn't high enough to OHKO and Blizzard is weak against them.

I used Arrow Bomb + Dragon pulse (Dragon's breath for a name is booo) on Skeles, it's actually an awesome combination. It's still useful. :B Of course, this was pre-BB. I haven't trained my BM since Big Bang, all I did was CWKPQ/Pap randomly...

This makes me want to grind on my BM again before LHC even arrives, haha.

Well like I said, that was pre-BB and I had level 1 Inferno by then. But even still, think about it; Push them all to one side, bomb them to keep them away from you (stun). With Rain, you gotta get closer to em. The combo's a pot-saver as well. :b Inferno's better than Bomb, damage-wise, but if you're going to Bains, those are resistant to fire, aren't they?

(Note: I have never gone to Bains, so I have no idea about the map layout.)

So I tried Lycans and Bains during 2x event.. and both of them, I got 5% every 8 minutes (Warrior Elixir)

Bains map was easier I think.. and a bit better when I used my Hurricane-Walk from left to right, and Arrow Bomb when mobs of 3 or higher are in my way..

Not on fire resistance. Sometimes damage isn't everything and the survivability helps a lot more.

Power Knockback is a skill with limited range. Dragon Breath has some range, which can be used to push mobs coming to you. There's a difference.

Because it's pointless if inferno already does that. If you're that desperate for DoT damage you could alternate with inferno every few seconds, which would just make you lose DPS in general.

Reached level 110 on my Ranger yesterday. I hoped to reach 112 during 2x today, but my brother just had to turn on that blasted virtual machine that screwed me over by completely booting me off the internet one hour before and during the entire 2x event.

Man, these last 10 levels are going to be painful... I guess tomorrow, I'm going to scout out the Ghost Pirates. The 2x event yesterday made me sick of Pirate's Den. All the minidungeons across all channels were full (along with the rather funny complaining about the minidungeons being full from all of my fellow archer friends, many of which had not met each other), and I partied with a Wild Hunter friend along with a 120 battlemage looking for a mastery book outside of the minidungeon. During those 20 minutes, I observed at least 2 people trying to KS us at all times. Bleh.

Oh what? I thought it was automatically obtained, but I hadn't thought about the fact that it's not a skill obtained via quest. We don't really do boss runs (we're more of a casual guild), but we are easily able to. I can either plan one sometime this weekend or the next (depends on my schedule) or I can try doing solo runs and letting you have the book if I get it (no need to pay for scissors, I'd gladly karma it for free for you).

Book's not dropped by anything, disregard that. You won't have to worry about getting it, haha.

What I hate about Zakum is how often it's camped out now. I tried a solo at one point and just got sick of waiting because people were always there before me and I'm too nice to jack rooms.

Yeah, I actually just remembered that Dragon's Breath was obtained through El Nath PQ before (and if it still did, I had an extra green book for it lying around anyway), so it almost makes no sense for it to be obtained through Zakum after Big Bang.

I don't understand why they nerfed power knock back so horridly. Pre bigbang it used to be spammable without a delay, if you hit the bosses kb with pkb it would slide them back. I don't understand why they changed it so much... they could've just given it a 100% success rate and kept it the same.

The only way i'll ever add any points to dragons breath is if the first level hit 6 monsters. I don't think it's too much to ask for. I don't think it's too much to ask for that it hits more than 6 at max level. It always was a source of disconnecting and rage for me..

Except in what kind of situation can PKB hit more than 4 mobs at a time? Not only is the delay ridiculous, but it feels like it recieved a nerf in range as well.

Went to Ghost Pirates for a while. Observed that I'd be lucky to be hitting more than three of them at a time with Inferno unless I used PKB, which results in taking a lot more hits than usual. This opposed to hitting 5+ Kru/Captains with Arrow Rain with little effort. The EXP difference between Ghost Pirates and Captains/Kru was only something like 150-200 as well, although I was inflicting far more damage on Ghost Pirates due to their Fire weakness. Still decided to go back to Pirate's Den after half an hour (especially what with the added bonus of the occasional potentialed Red Armis dropping from Kru).

I guess Ghost Pirates would be faster for most other classes, especially those that can efficiently gather up mobs or have high mobility. But from the looks of it, I'll be staying at Pirate's Den 2 until 4th job, unless Blue Kentaurus at Level 117(?) are somehow better.

Hey, look on the bright side - it seems that at least you'll probably be ready for Level 130-140 equips, should you choose to get one and scroll one.

I have 78 base STR. I don't know how, but I somehow managed to get 127 total STR. As a level 112. And my equips are above average at best.

I'm set for a LONG time in the secondary stat department.

That's not even mentioning that Bowmasters' Hurricane is stupidly designed to chew up durability like no tomorrow, meaning that using Rex earrings is more of a hassle for us, especially during major boss runs.

If you take a look at the 4th Job Calculator, you can see the BMs still outdamage lolMM by a good bit. Contrary to popular belief, WHs only outdamage BMs by a slim margin at bosses, so no, BMs do not suck.

Despite what people say about us, I would not trade my bowmaster for anything.
Other than an Aran and an Evan for their rewards for leveling up, and a very brief fling with a 'slinger, all my characters have been archers of some sort ( bowmaster, sniper, another bowman for the crit ring because i felt comfortable playing it, a wind archer for a Cygnus, and yes, even a wild hunter.)

I still believe if you think out of the box of "spam hurricane" archers have a great amount of strategy that can be employed.

Maybe in another 5 years i will get the last 15.5 levels to get to 200.

- Hurricane will stop firing if you stand in one spot without moving.. Nexon's way of "preventing" botting.. so just move a bit while tapping the Hurricane key so you don't get "locked"

Actually that's not true. Hurricane still fires but nothing else works. You can still shoot Hurricane arrows but FA won't work and you can't use any other skill (Inferno, etc) unless you move.

So, question. I've got a "perfectly" scrolled Engaw (quotes because of 50%s); 156 ATT, +12 ATT Potential, 2 lines (rare). Would it be worth it to try for a better bow (VIP Bow or whatever bow comes out that would outshine it) or am I good with what I have now, because I really can't say it's bad in any way (it really isn't; I'm too afraid to lose it to enhancements).

I have 10 50%s on me that I was originally saving for my WH's crossbow and I was wondering if I'm better off investing in a better bow with those. The 2 lines and partly the fact that a friend of mine's surpassing it with her own Engaw + 50%s kinda bother me too. :( /admitting to jealousy lol

Of course, I wouldn't bother with that for a long time since I'm trying to upgrade my armour first. :x

I put Bow scrolls at a higher than usual price.. like, let's say 60%s are 500-750k in my server (which they are lol) ill put them at 1m each..
And they sometimes sell.. in which case, if I wanted the scrols back.. I could buy them for 750k or less.. profit :P

Put the scrolls in store for an above average price.. like, above-above.. and if they sell, yay~
If not.. then you can still use them if you're gonna play those characters. If you are, that's good. If not.. save them for when 50%s get rarer :)

Your bow is already amazing. It's basically how you feel about having a 2 lined bow as opposed to a chance at a good three lined one. Personally I would hold on to them for the future bows if you don't want to sell.

So I used my 13 saved SP today.. got tired of waiting for Bow Expert 30, so I added, 5 Concentrate and 8 Hurricane.. how am I doing?

What else do I need to make an Engaw? As in, materials.. should I use a stim? diamond? crystals? etc..
I don't want this Engaw to fail.. I really.. REALLY do not.. im gonna scroll it with 60%s, THIS BOW MUST NOT EXPLODE

Your best bet would be to get Pierce to 21 since you have MMB 20 to provide stable damage. After that, max Ultimate Strafe to help with bossing.

Was about to ask that, I'm hoping you simply haven't gotten your hands on SE30 yet, which isn't surprising, considering you're in a pretty new server.

You ought to look into putting SP in Maple Warrior, at least up to level 9/10.

Engaw: Your best bet is... stimulator, advanced diamond, intermediate DEX crystal for enhancing. Just for making, you need 45 PoTs, 5 Orihalcon Plates, 20 Advanced Monster Crystal 2s and 14 Advanced Monster Crystal 3s.

And Maker 3, of course.

I'm Level 146 with the following build:

Piercing Arrow: 21
Ultimate Strafe: 10
Marksman Boost: 10
Snipe: 30 (don't regret this at all)
Frostprey & Dragon Breath: 1

I have 8 points saved since I'm having trouble finding MMB20. They haven't been in the FM for ages and I've given up hunting for them. Should I just give up on Marksman Boost and focus on another skill or just save the SP? Keep in mind Arcania is a dying server where books are rare in general.

Well to give you a more serious answer, I would just save the SP. The 8 points into Marksmanship aren't really that great compared to the 8 points into Marksman Boost. 8 Points into Pierce would be useless, and your other skills aren't as important.

This is what I did when I was upgrading my bowmaster after potential came out. The first thing I did is potential everything, obviously. So you're done with that step. After this I decided to upgrade my bow. Given the fact that you're in a new server, there isn't much to upgrade. Try to get a minimum of 3% DEX in everything, this way you would have a decent 21%ish DEX. First thing you should upgrade would be your cape, then your belt. After your belt upgrade your gloves then your overall. I'm looking at this from being in a new server perspective, I don't think you're really in need of much upgrading since the only upgrading you need would be potential and not the equips themselves.

Note that he said 50% for two-handed weapons. THOSE don't exist there. 50% Bow ATT scrolls probably cost a crapton over there, and I mean more than what they're worth in other servers, so you KNOW that's out of the question on a newer server.

Okay, so I finally got my earrings to Unique. Sadly, 6% DEX doesn't seem to want to go away. Should I keep it that way and work on getting my other equips to Unique or should I get my earrings to 9% DEX and do the same for my other stuff after? Everything except for my hat (3% DEX Red Hunter, waiting for a CZak helm chance) and my bow (+12 ATT Rare) is epic with at least 6% DEX (specs are 4%). My overall, earrings, gloves and cape are Unique.

I also scrolled 14 ATT, 3 line Machine Gloves, but I'm not sure if I should work on those now or after I cube my other stuff more (current gloves are 14 ATT, 9% DEX).

As far as I know boxes did not drop, it was just the old gold and silver ones people had in stock that was used this last time. I did not find a single box anyway.

Gotta be sh`itting me if you're telling me he's going to 30% every 3-line bow he comes across in hopes of landing a decent attack bow. Gachapon boxes did not even drop, which I thought was retarded as hell, holding an event where the event item didn't drop. So like stated above, 50% for Bow ATT don't exist there either.

I know how it was done before, but we're in the present now. What we've done in the past no longer applies to this. I remember I used to use the Shoe Maker and the Glove Refiner to make my equips. No one does that anymore.

I've made some great bows doing it that way. 30% one bow, if it passes scroll another, get like 5-10 +1 bows. Collect the +2 bows and keep going from there. It's a good way to scroll if you've got the time and willing to put the effort into it.

Is Golden Temple really that slow in the 11x levels? That worries me a bit, seeing as I've been rushing my Nightwalker to 120 (she's 110 now) before preparing my Bowmaster some more for LHC...

I think my dog's okay now. Adjusting to using his sense of smell to compensate for his lack of eyesight. He whines for me or my mom really loudly almost all the time, though. He doesn't like being alone.

About Golden Temple, the spawn of the Level 11x mobs isn't that good compared to Captains/Kru, at least for a Ranger. If you don't have a way to reliably knockback and mob the monkeys (which Night Walkers don't, IIRC), or have a super long ranged mob skill (which Night Walkers probably do), it's going to be roughly the same speed or slower. The main difference being that you'll be taking in the range of 1k+ touch damage from the monkeys (along with them having bigger hitboxes) in comparison to Captains/Kru.

I mean, I can do both, but it's just too much effort to set up for an increased EXP rate that seems to be so minimal that it's not really worth it. I'd say the only reason why Captains/Kru is faster for me is due to the dense spawn and how godly Arrow Rain is there.

I'm going to try the 10x mobs tomorrow, although I suspect the spawn won't be much better there. If it isn't, I might as well just spend the rest of the Golden Temple days hunting for sunbursts. (In that case, I have another question: Do Strong Stone Goblins have the highest drop rate of Sunbursts, or do they all have the same rate? And which side drops more, normal or mirror mode?)

In my personal opinion, I think the only worth UA quest doing at all would be for Soul Driver. Vampire is pretty bad, Wind Piercing seems useless, Shark Wave is just hilariously stupid, and Flame Gear doesn't seem like anything special.

Plus, the mobs that drop the super rare quest items to learn Wind Piercing also drop gold ores. Spadow mentioned that gold ores become especially valuable after the Chaos Patch.

welllllp, i plan on making a UA marksman. i just got my DW Hurkule to 120, i have a cruel ring i can give my MM, and some hacker traded me a 14 att wg for some crappy item i was selling on basil and told me to shhhhhhhhtfu, hahaha, so i'm looking forward to it. i have the IGN i want saved (would love to share it but i'm all mysterious like dat). wind piercing is gonna be boss because eruption/AR get nerfed bad, plus i love the cygnus armor sets they give you, and the special medal.

i've wanted to make a marksman for ages, but my shadower always got in the way, i figured the UA would be a good excuse to do that and get 24 free w.att. x)

also, does anyone know where there is some good xbowman/sniper/marksman fan art?

what if MM could use snipe while in the prone position?

a) it's perfectly fitting
b) there is no advantage or disadvantage to having it. it's just a unique feature of the skill. especially since bosses don't really have projectile attacks to actually duck from, you just get hit or missed no matter what. and against normal monsters who do have them, it wouldn't matter, cause you 1hko them anyway.

OR, if it were to have advantages/disadvantages, what would they be? here's what i think:

PRO (note: going by the new chaos snipe skill): when in prone, you get a critical damage boost and +30 w.att boost if you are using snipe on bosses, or,, instead, it does 1000% x4 instead of 900%
CON: your avoid becomes 0/0% and your w.def is halved during the snipe animation while prone

AE and Blizzard replace IA. I didn't have Pierce when BB came around but I still didn't find any use whatsoever for Iron Arrow in 3rd or 4th Job.

My Bowmaster's been wearing a 3% DEX one for a while now. Feels awesome to look sick without NX for a while.

Now, I'm in a bit of a bind. I'm trying to get a CZak helmet and want to get it to Unique before LHC. Should I get a Rare one and cube it or try and see if I can afford a Unique one (with or without %DEX, at least I wouldn't need to worry about cubing to Unique)? I've no clue how much it would cost to get the latter.

I also want 3 line Specs... my current ones are 2 line but Unique. Would it be possible/a good idea to sell them and get 3 line rare ones? I could always just get 3 line broken glasses instead but I just love the aesthetics of specs too much. :<

As the self-proclaimed first person to complete that set via maker in GMS, I concur. I used every set for the levels that used them while I was slowly training my MM over the years. The only hat I didn't like was the level 80 one. Oh, and the level 120 set since I'm not fond of purple.

If the 140 set becomes a realistic goal, I'll be replacing my practically clean 110 unpotentialed set (behind the times, and not going to spend a dime on NEXON ever again, so no cubes) and handing that over to another MM I'm making to marry my main should I ever reach a reasonable level on it.

3-lined specs are expensive and rare as f`uck. Chances are your third line will be complete garbage too. So if it was entirely up to me, I'd keep my 2-line specs and just cube them until I get a %dex I can be satisfied with (10,6,4%).

Bearwolves are weak to fire. I spam Inferno on mobs of 2+, Hurricane on a single mob. I also second the Phoenix advice, seeing as Phoenix is fire.

Personally, I don't see what's so bad about having extra secondary stats, especially if most of it comes from your equips. That's a really nice cape.

Very much. I can near-effortlessly chew through just about everything at Crimsonwood Mountain while trying to hunt for Crimson Wood. Who knows, maybe I'll find a Flamekeeper Cordon while hunting one of these days. Assuming they actually drop from Firebrands.

I'm also able to contribute a lot more during Ani raids, although I failed the last two Ani raids I participated in, on account of being the only fourth jobber or the highest DPS fourth jobber (read: not very good for the expedition at all >_>) present. Got 90 mil now, going to see if I can upgrade my bow now. Or participate in a MoN run.

Oh, Vengeance interrupts your attacks? Meh, another one for the 'scrap the skill entirely and give us a new mob skill in its place, or something that upgrades Arrow Rain/Inferno if a new mob skill isn't possible due to the likelihood that it'd be worth more than 10 SP and would thus require new mastery books' bin.

Atk % is better assuming you have alot of weapon atk gear, but wait til your able to mass-cube for boss damage. Vengeance skill is not that bad of a skill you guys are making it out to be. True that it does seem like a pointless skill to have since bowmasters already have 2 other knock-back skills, but its still better than hamstring :P

Took a break from hunting Crimson Woods today (gained 170-something Woods, along with about 60 mil and 20 60% Bow/10 60% Knuckle scrolls from Windraider Badges over the past week and a half, farming for an hour or two each day... Thank you free 2x drop event) and decided to go level up at LHC.

Managed to level up twice, so now I'm level 123. I have 6 SP in SE now. While it doesn't seem to make me as strong as putting more points into Bow Expertise, man does everyone else in parties still seem very appreciative of SE. Thinking about getting SE to 10 before I go out and break my leg over trying to get the books for Bow Expertise and maxing that.

I also finally spent the 20 mil for a hog. I kinda regret it, as it's only 10 speed above my regular walking speed. But I suppose a Silver Mane is just about essential?

i HATE vengeance sooo much, i was stuck w/ it for a long long time, i saw that we were going to get reset scrolls again so i decided to max vengeance for fun, well too bad it sucked majorly. So i realized i hated it, but reset scroll in a few days so no big deal.... d/ced in the middle of the hot time event pwned T.T was stuck w/ that skill for a long long long time.

Activates less than 10% of the time and 100% of that is when you dont need it >.> It would activate uselessly when no monsters were near, or it would activate in the middle of ARing a large mob and then your stuck surrounded. And no where near to 500% damage, and its not 500% damage of the mob, its a messed up skill. I guess if you like to boss standing on zak it would be a great skill.... but even if i make it to 200 ill never touch it again.

while im on this rage... y are AP point resets so expensive O.o i have alot of STR and im a VIP bow user lol... failzzz /rageend

Finally 163 <3 big milestone for me because i now have all of the main BM skillz maxed :D

The bow in my pic is actually a JMS cash shop item. MSEA got it recently too. It was a cash shop bow that I wanted a while back, but now that I'm sporting a red theme instead, not so much now.

Really dislike how inflated BE 20 has become in Windia. The cheapest I can find nowadays is 80 mil...

So I'm nearing 150 on my BM, and that means I'll have maxed Hurricane, and I'm not sure what to put points into next.

Currently I have: 30 Sharp Eyes, 30 Bow Expert, 25 Hurricane, 1 Dragon Pulse, and 1 Phoenix.

I'm thinking Marksmanship since I don't really need any of the other skills, and it's an easy HP boost.

Ah, level 127 now... Spent the past two days at Red and Blue Kents for BE20 and SE20... Didn't find any even after getting a 2x drop card during the 2x event. >_>

I guess I'll start throwing my points into Marksmanship since I already have 10 SE and 10 BE. Those points have to go somewhere in order for them to be any useful, and the defense ignore and HP boost isn't bad at all.

Finally broke 7k range (although I might've broken it when I put 3 points into MMB, which is lvl 13 as of now), and got my DW to 120. Now I just need to get to 150, and then I'll start upgrading more. Massive cubing+ finishing my Glove with at least 8 atk will be the majority of my summer c:

Level 129. Killed about 50 Snowmen, looking for BE20. Got frustrated as the only noteworthy thing that dropped was a 60% Overall DEX scroll. Good EXP though.

I then realized that I could use my 1k Maple Points to Owl for a BE20 book. Found one for 30 mil. Bought it, and it passed.

Yay, I don't have to worry about mastery books for the next five or so levels! >_>

I think I'll be patching my kMS just to measure how fast Double Jump is since everyone is so fucking butthurt about it. If I can remember my passwords.

I always thought Double Jump would be similar to the WH skill, but I think I'm one of the only people who don't really care that much about it compared to everything else. I'm pretty sure it's not worth comparing to FJ, so people really don't have to call it that. :X

i honestly didn't care if we got a double jump or not. All i wanted was a bit of mobility with our attacks (e.g. walking while shooting instead of standing and shooting like a dork) nothing too major. Hell a slide back instead of a double jump feature would have been nicer. But if they wanna give us a rehashed double jump, i'll take it. Plus we get 160 max speed now :D (though jump may still be regular D:) Yay for being able to reach beyond 160 if ever they raise the cap >.> So...Many..Speed...Equips...
