hey everyone! i was thinkin about getting a mac, and i thought about something. i have heard about people running maple on a mac, so with the recent release of the mac app store, wouldnt it be cool if nexon releases a maple app, that can be downloaded from the mac app store, and everytime there is a patch, they can put an update for the app up, like on the iphone and ipod touch? yes, i noe there can be many flaws in this idea, but nonethe less, discuss plz! :f2:

I wish I could read this thread, and not get angry.
Im no programmer myself, I havnt learned any languages... but even I know that there is a large difference between programming languages that Windows PC's and Macs use. The game would have to be recoded into apples... whatever that language is called for their apps. coconut or something..
Its too much work, macs have too small of a gaming fanbase, if people really want to play the game they should just get a pc or install a windows partition.

As a mac owner, I see several flaws in your idea.
Its not as simple as "making a maple app" because Mac keyboards and coding is severely different to Microsoft Windows programming.
Nexon would probably never release a "maple app." The way apps are published through the mac store would probably be not to Nexon's liking. You have to keep in mind the amount of online computer game players and the kind of computers their using. Most of the time its going to be a PC, because PC's have the capacity for huge pretty graphics cards, processors, hard disks, etc. Mac is not.
The only discussion here is that it is not within Nexon's favor to recode the entire game engine for such a minority group of players. Like Zelkova mentioned, the only thing that allows Mac users to play is to either buy a PC or install a windows partition. People usually don't buy Mac to play online games for them, they usually buy them for photo editing, film editing, website building, etc. Mac are unfortunately not in the same league for gaming as PCs are.
