Venture Bros Mafia: Mafia/Neutral Win

[MasPan]

1- Every player has been assigned a role. Posting your role PM or a screenshot of any conversation related to the game is grounds for an automatic godkill.

2- The game rounds will cycle between day and night and will continue until one side is declared the winner.

3- The game will begin on Night 0. Certain abilities will not work on Night 0. Lynching will begin on Day 1.

4- All votes must be bolded. If you wish to remove a vote, unbold your previous vote. In the event that a vote ends in a tie,there will be a random kill for the day. If someone has two votes bolded, the first vote applies. Editing a vote after the day it occurred in ends is grounds for a godkill. Votes that are not posted before the cutoff do not apply.

5- The option of "no-lynch" will be an acceptable form of voting during the day period and will result in no lynch that day period. It counts as a player, in that if it gets majority, it happens.

6- The IRC is limited strictly to role PMs that specifically grant permission to use it, whom will be provided access to a channel for planning and discussion. Players are otherwise prohibited from discussing the game in the IRC. Players using the IRC to privately communicate are advised to not behave weirdly in the normal Southperry IRC channel.

7- Players may not communicate with each other privately about the game, unless they are specifically told they are allowed. If you are dead, you are not allowed to post in the gameplay thread. There will be a discussion thread that all players are allowed to talk in, dead or otherwise. Dead players are advised not to comment in a way that affects gameplay.

8- Character/player alignment and priority will not be revealed by the host until a player is killed, where their role and alignment will be revealed.

9- If you have any questions about your role, or about the game, or have any comments/concerns, you may PM me or message me on the Southperry IRC.

10- Do not take screenshots of stuff in the game. I consider this to be the most important rule.

12- If anyone breaks any of these rules, that person will be killed by me.

13- Flavor posting is not required but is highly encouraged. This is Venture Bros, afterall.

14- There is no rule 11.

15- I can add any rule as I deem necessary to balance the game due to unforseen issues.

TheBirds:
You are Hank Venture, son of "super scientist" Dr. Rusty Venture and brother to Dean Venture. Your dream is to be a Batman, and you're the more athletic of Rusty's two sons. The two of you share a love of mystery and adventure, commonly exclaiming "GO TEAM VENTURE!" Your hover scooter allows you to quickly evade danger once per night.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated


Derosis
You are Henchman #21, fat and nerdy and best friend of Henchman #21. You are an avid collector of rare, never-removed-from-box items, and may target 1 player per night to swipe an item from. The item will be replaced with a nonfunctional copy unbeknowst to them. Together with _________________________________, you are the mafia.

You win if all non-mafians are killed.



Holypie
You are Dr. Billy Quizboy, and the only doctor in this game who is a true practicioner of the medical arts. Due to a medical condition you have the body of a small boy but an enormously bloated head. You lost one of your arms to some mysterious accident in the past and it has been replaced with a robotic one. You may use help someone to recover from their wounds once per night - anyone protected by you will not be killed if targeted by the mafia that night. Your best friend and companion is Pete White.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated


Synthesist
You are Kevin, a henchman. You are short and oddly proportioned and surprisingly acrobatic. As long as you and ___ are alive, you may PM me once per night with a target that you wish to beat up. The target will be unable to vote the next day. This ability is shared between you and ___, and only 1 target may be chosen by the 2 of you. Together with _________________, you are the mafia.

You win if all non-mafians are killed.



DualReaver
You are Dr. Byron Orpheus, necromancer and devoted father. You are a master of speaking with dramatic and enthusiastic flair, and your knowledge of the spiritual realm is extensive, though occasionally wrong. During a night you may astral project yourself to become immune to all night actions for 1 turn, at the cost of becoming unable to speak or vote at all the next day. On the following night you may control the vote of 1 player. You resume the ability to speak/vote after using that player's vote the next day. You may not use your astral projection 2 nights in a row.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated



ChaoticCJ
You are H.E.L.P.eR., a "helpful" robot created by Dr. Rusty Venture. You are tapped into the wrist communicators of Rusty and his family, but their communicators are all broken. Once per night you may attempt to fix someone's broken communicator - if successful, they will be able to send a message to you, though static will limit your ability to decipher their identity. You are incapable of human speech, and can only communicate in a series of mechanical beeps and whirrs. You can only post in quotes and pictures. (I hate mute roles, but it fits the character. Sorry :( )

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated.


Kurtle
You are Phantom Limb, distinguised gentlemanly killer. A lab accident in your past has caused your limbs to become invisible instruments of electric death, causing you to appear to be a floating torso and head. Your former partner and girlfriend Queen Etheria left you for The Monarch, so you have been searching for the two - to win back her love and to eliminate The Monarch. Dr. Rusty Venture has foiled some of your plans along the way, so you will happily eliminate him and his friends and family as well. Once per night you may PM me with a target that you wish to kill. You may also PM me with 1 target that you suspect might be your former queen - if you find her, you are certain you will be able to win her back to your side.

You are a neutral, and win if you or both you and Queen Etheria are the only remaining survivors.


NoJobNoRules
You are the Monarch, Dr. Rusty Venture's unwanted archnemesis. You are obsessed with monarch butterflies, having spent 1 summer with a "flock" of them after your parents died in a plane crash. You are obsessive and dedicated to your compulsion to terrorize Dr. Venture, but your efforts are often met with failure at the hands of his bodyguard, Brock Samson. Together with _____, you are the mafia. You may PM me once each night to attempt to kill 1 player. You may not act on Night 0. In addition, if investigated, you will appear to be a member of the town.

You win if all non-mafians are killed.


Darkmaniak
You are Professor Impossible, stretchy man of wonder. You are a brilliant scientist and capable of stretching yourself to any length or shape. Once per night you may PM me with a target that you wish to change yourself to look like. If investigated, you will appear to be that person. The next night you may use any ability they may have. You may not use your ability 2 nights in a row.

Corn
You are Dean Venture, son of "super scientist" Dr. Rusty Venture and brother to Hank Venture. Your dream is to be like your hero, Giant Boy Detective, and you're the more intellectual of Rusty's two sons. The two of you share a love of mystery and adventure, commonly exclaiming "GO TEAM VENTURE!" Your detective skills allow you to investigate one player per night and take notes on anything you find odd. This ability may not be used on Night 0.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated



xBTAx

You are Tim-tom, one of Dr. Girlfriend's 2 henchmen. You and Kevin are short and oddly proportioned and surprisingly acrobatic. As long as both you and Kevin are alive, you may PM me once per night with a target that you wish to beat up. The target will be unable to vote the next day. This ability is shared between you and Kevin, and only 1 target may be chosen by the 2 of you. Together with SOME PEOPLE WHO KNOWS HOW MANY OR WHAT NAMES, you are the mafia.

You win if all non-mafians are killed.


MetaSeraphim
You are Brock Samson, bodyguard to Dr. Rusty Venture and his family. You are highly trained, brutal and efficient. You are a skilled assasin, and once during the game you may kill 1 player. However, you are also skilled in non-lethal takedowns. Once during the game, you may prevent a player's actions during the night. That player will not be able to speak the next day. You may protect 1 player each night from harm in addition to the abilities listed above. You may not use any of these abilities on the same night. You may not use your abilities on Night 0.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated


Mephisto
You are Dr. Rusty Venture, boy adventurer and super scientist. Your inventions may be powered by the hearts of orphans and occasionally get people killed, but it's all in the pursuit of science. Your influence with your family and friends grants your votes double the effect, and once during the game (and only once) you may disable all items held by other players for 1 day/night cycle. This ability may not be used on Night 0.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated

Day 1:
In the latest plot hatched by The Monarch, evil archvillain of "superscientist" Dr.Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture, the Venture Compound was attacked last night, and the X-1 jet by which the Venture family travels destroyed. There is no hope of escape. It has been discovered that the weapon used to destroy the jet had an interesting side effect - namely, it turned everyone nearby into a clone of Rusty, including the Monarch and his henchmen! The villains quickly realize the potential to manipulate the Venture family into killing themselves, and make a slight, inconspicuous change to their clothing to help them identify each other. The others, however, are not aware of their misfortune until they awake the next morning, and are unable to identify each other. You all meet each other in the hangar bay after an emergency PA announcement by one of the Rustys. You quickly realize that there are far too many Rustys, and that some must be the villains that attacked during the night.

Thankfully, one of the Rustys discovered that Venture Labs has an X-ray gun that...doesn't quite work properly. Instead of allowing one to see through clothing, it allows one to see into someone's INNER SOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL. It only has enough juice for 1 shot on a full battery charge, and the charging process takes 24 hours (I know, what a convenient plot excuse!). You must decide amongst yourselves each day which Rusty is not a Rusty, nor a Venture at all, nor even a friend or ally. I hope your wits aren't...rusty. Be warned, though - the gun is extremely powerful, and will very likely result in death.

First off, the mistake I made was from a rule that I thought I had changed but did not - I had a tie vote listed as no lynch, not a RNG kill. That was my mistake, but the kill still stands (too late to rectify that). As for your vote -

Although I can't confirm the busdriver part, I can confirm the item destruction story. I'm not told what purpose they have, but I can pretty much guess they're related to abilities.

Dual, the way I play the game almost assures that I'm going to die early game for some reason. It's pretty much what I expect. So long as my death is good for the town in some way, I don't mind that. Sometimes it works because I draw the mafians to me, sometimes it's getting successful lynches. So far I've been absolutely no help as far as the lynches go, and the only one who apparently has targeted me with anything negative is Kajiti. Which I may add does make me a bit suspicious of him, especially with him voting for me now, but then he changed it so I don't know what to think of him at the moment. Anyway, my point was that if no one brought up any good targets for lynch, I'd rather be the one to get killed off than run the risk of losing another town power role. As I said, currently I'm just a regular townie, as a busdriver I'd have been able to help, but without my powers, I am fairly useless at night. And my record of finding mafians in this game is unfortunately pretty bad, though so far I think it's just been pure luck that we've gotten two mafians so early in the game. If I can live longer, I'm always happy to do so Dual, but you can't be afraid of dying early with my current playstyle or you'll never get anything done.
