View Full Version : Hacking Attempt Detected
I've been getting hacking attempt detected a lot more lately. Before it was just a couple times a day, now it's every 10 minutes. I'm not sure if this will help but I'm on a dell dimension 5150. This problem hasn't been happening til the last patch, so could this be Nexon's fault? But on my laptop, everything runs fine.

What programs are you running?

I had this happen to me as well... about 10 times in the past week or so. The only programs that I know for sure I was running was Firefox. I got the hacking attempt box, it closed, i re-opened ms and it worked fine. Not sure what's up with it:f6:
These are my processes

If your antivirus is active, shut that down. Close any programs that may auto-launch when you start your computer (messengers, firewall, programs like Steam, etc).
Does your computer run Windows Vista or XP? Which service pack do you have?

Windows XP with Service Pack 2
I can't remember how to set start up programs. Was it run > msconfig and then something else?

I only get this when I use Vista, and it's because of those cool "gadgets."

Here's a link from Microsoft regarding MSConfig and how to use it.

Also, you may want to try opening up the Task Manager, sorting the processes by UserName and shutting down any run by YOUR username, with the exception of explorer.exe. iirc, you've got a desktop there, so you shouldn't have to worry about losing control of your mouse/keyboard
Good luck!

For the past week or so, I've been getting this error the first time I start Maple on a restart. I'll click it again, and it will be fine. I usually just have MSN and Firefox open. I think it might have something to do with windowed mode, because I'm always trying to smash "alt-enter" to change it when I run Maple. x_x
