I'd like to start a thread compiling all the known post big bang training rates.

All of these are 1x. If you'd like to contribute, please convert from whatever exp modification the player is using to 1x (although I doubt there are many videos of people with exp cards).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 70 battle mage training in leben mines. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SR7Z00rHWI&feature=related)

On 1080p quality, you can see that he gets ~10% in ~4 minutes. That comes out to 150% per hour.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 95 battle mage training at leben mines. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRs_R5CGTcI)

At 720p quality, you can see that he gets 3.85% in ~2 minutes. That comes out to 115.5% per hour.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 126 paladin training at spirit vikings. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Awg3d7slriE&feature=related)

She gets exactly 3% in ~4 minutes. That comes out to 45% per hour consistently. Not bad for 126 without any kind of exp modification (cards, family rep, etc.).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 88 aran training at roids. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gs5wEtRcvVA)

He gets ~3% in ~ 1 minute. That's comes out to 180% per hour.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

lvl 69->70 took me about 1 hour 20minutes

lvl 85->86 took me about 0 hour 35 minutes

Mechanic - post BB - kMS

I was unfunded so I looted the event boxes for (a lot of) free pots. So I guess training without cross-continental-lag-looting is 25% faster! :)

But Mechs train just -really- fast, since they get that 4th job warrior rush skill in 1st job. lvl30 was about 2 hours on 1x exp rate... That includes travelling for quests... xD

On my lv46 Wild Hunter at CD's, I'm making roughly 10% per minute.

I was getting ~285%/h at 53 with a striker with total pomegranate gear at drakes.

1-30 is an easy hour if you skip the Edelstein misc quests and go straight to Victoria Island to train on Jr.Neki/Ligators.

I spammed Scroll Lock when I trained my Wild Hunter this past summer. I'll try and post rough rates for 30-70. They are based on the time stamps from each level up picture.

I think I leveled up from 30 to 31 entirely off of quest. Between advancing, starting out Mushroom Kingdom, and a few event quest.
31->32: 16 minutes doing Mushie quest to get into the castle
33: 11 minutes doing some more quest and using that arrow bomber on Helmet pepes
34: 5 minutes exclusively at Pepes.
35: 6 minutes @ Pepes.
36: 8 minutes @ Pepes.
37: 8 minutes @ Pepes.
38: 10 minutes @ Pepes and finishing a quest (200 helmets? not sure)
39: 17 minutes @ Pepes + travel and/or more quest?
40: 15 minutes @ Pepes
41: 16 minutes @ Pepes.
42: 17 minutes @ Pepes.
43: 29 minutes @ Pepes.
44: 20 minutes @ Kerning Square CDs + travel time
45: 15 minutes @ CDs
46: 17 minutes @ Dolls in Kerning Square
47: 15 minutes @ Dolls in Kerning Square
48: There is a 4 hour difference here. I have no idea.
49: 20 minutes @ CDs
50: 24 minutes @ CDs

30-50 took about 245 minutes or 4 hours of training. Give or take 20 minutes.

This was within the first week or two of Resistance, so I do not know about any changes that might affect these areas.

CDs are popular. Really popular. I went there when it was early or late in Korea to avoid crowds. Dolls was pretty empty and I could KS almost anyone who tried to interfere. Shit was crazy.

Also keep in mind that I had a Pink Tube, which spiked my damage. Would a normal weapon have made training much slower? I do not know.

I browse almost exclusively from New Post, so I did not even notice that it had moved.

More training data.

50->51: About 25 minutes at Ant Tunnel 1
52: 24 minutes at AT 1
53: 27 minutes at White Pangs
54: 4 hour difference in pictures, cannot derive time2level
55: 40 minutes at White Pangs
56: 40 minutes at White Pangs
57: 40 minutes at White Pangs
58: 40 minutes at White Pangs
59: 40 minutes Robos
60: 40 minutes at Robos
61: 45 minutes (while being KSed) at Robos
62: 30 minutes at Robos
63: 35 minutes at Robos
64: Another few hours break
65: 1 hour 45 minutes (105 minutes)

50-65 looks like about 8 or 9 hours of training.
Beyond here there are a lot of breaks... lemme get back to you on those.

From what I can tell so far, as you approach level 100 your %/hour approaches exactly 1 level per 1 hour. I'd say that it's possible to do 1 - 100 in under 14 days for the casual player who can only commit 1 - 3 hours per day during the week, and possibly more during the weekend.

If you'd like to eyeball the experience bars, I'll be happy to add any new information and credit you.

The hardest part about doing this is that there are very few high quality videos, and the few that do exist are usually 120+.

Your exp per hour rate went up? That's weird, but thanks, I'll post these.

This man is absolutely correct. It was hell training there when Resistance came out. Wild Hunters and Battle Mages are master KSers. :f4: If the Tespia data is correct, and 4 servers will be released the same time Big Bang is, plus the absence of Resistance, it should be a bit easier.

It came out a while ago. It was an area like Mushie Kingdom that booted you out at level 50. Post BB the level restrictions are gone. (PreBB Mushie would have booted me at level 38, was it?)

Indeed. I was getting way more EXP at Rextons, but the bad thing is that i get too much damaged there due to misses, since they're 3 levels higher than me.
Also, now i get why they nerfed MP Eater. The MP of all mobs got increased by a lot. I can absorb 600 - 700 MP or something whenever i drain a Viking. Once i use Big Bang on a mob of Vikings, my MP gets full immediately.
.
I've been using like 3 MP potions per level. The only ones i need to buy some are just HP ones. But it doesn't get past 150-200 Pops per level.

It doesn't get that much easier. I mean.. yes it's a ton easier from lv 1-100, but from 100+ it's still tough to level up (based on conversations with friends. I've never played 100+ post-BB). I think the curve was mainly implemented to assist lower-levels in getting to 3rd job, and beyond that.

Looks like 1 - 70 is indeed possible in under a week for casual players. Based off of the videos I've seen, most people seem to be having a great time going 80 - 120. I've seen a lot of videos of people 100 - 110 getting 100%+ per hour.

I have a sneaking suspicion that post-BB, my 160 L/I's %/hour rate of training will actually decrease without the use of ultimates and the nerfed family buffs even with the EXP curving. But let this not be a complaint on BB, I really am looking forward to it, just curious on training.

Unsure of whether or not to load up on 2X EXP cards now and make that last, final push for as much SP as I possibly can acquire before then...

I don't see how your training could slow down. Not only will the exp requirements for each level go down, but new training spots will open up and old training spot should get better.

Puppeteer

The cooldown to ultimates is only 30 seconds.
And magicians are given new skills in 4th job, or have skills upgrades to be useful. Like Big Bang(the skill). Now it attacks, what, 5 times? Use that a couple of times and bam- ultimate again. Chain lightning is also way more useful and powerful. So there you go. Two improved skills to waste that 30 second cooldown.

Feels like you're responding to my sleepywood thread here.

Anyway, chain lightning and big bang don't hit 15 monsters for massive damage. They're not weak, and they're great skills in their own right, but you can't stand in one spot and spam them till the cows come home. Forcing mages to use other skills besides their ults puts them on the level of all of the other classes in terms of training speed and ability to leech others.

Ults > other skills pre-BB.

Puppeteer
2010-11-29, 05:58 PM
Well yes of course, but mages were way over-powered and were the #1 easiest class to level up in. And that's a teensy problem :P every class should be equally balanced with one another. So then your choice of class just depends on your preferred gameplay style.

I got around 88%/hr partying with a Priest and Wind Archer at Captain&Kru at 105 as a Wild Hunter. The priest was a friend helping me out, so I doubt there'd be any random priests willing to party at that map.

Gonna try the minidungeon today on my own and see how that is (I'm 107 now). I'm curious as to what other places there are for me until I get to Dual level (114?)...

Level 184 Paladin ~ 11% in 2 hours of x2 EXP at OB4 with my lvl 169 BM sister.
Converted to 5.5% in 2 hours, or 2.75% per hour, at 1x.

30%/hr at Red Dragon Turtles on 1x, level 133. Was much better when I started at 128, but its still really good exp with a party. 3 attackers and one HS mule.

You've got a chance to find MW20 while you're grinding it out, too. Very nice.

Lv. 80 Wild Hunter here, gaining 1 level approximately every 50 minutes. Training at Lv. 75~82 monsters, doing quests, and a lot of randomness. I don't ever stay at one map for a whole level.

My exp has been going down very fast, but at 116 I did 45% per hour at captain mini dungeon with my sniper.
It seems like dual ghost pirates is the only thing that's better than that but
a) It's always full
b) I get distracted easily and die.
c) It's not THAT much better, 55% per hour or so.
