Idea of a game I've had for a while. I'm starting to assemble a team with local people from another forum.

The idea is to make a 2D Beat Em Up (similar to the Simpsons, Ninja Turtles, Streets of Rage, Scott Pilgrim, etc). The game is about zombies, but instead of killing the zombies, you're the zombie. You go around killing civilians, police officers, badasses that want to stop a zombie outbreak, military people and maybe even other, stronger zombies. Game has no story (yet?) and the max HP is 99%. Because I said so.

But mine is the complete opposite of it. Yes, 2 is the opposite of 4.

Loose! Try to find a simple 2d game engine (Or have someone help you?)

From what i read, alot of them are pretty easy to use. I think the last one I was playing with was called the LOVE Engine. I dont remember much about it, I just remember its 2d and can use LUA scripts.

I've actually tried LOVE. Right now, I'm looking into FlashPunk. I'm having trouble making a Beat Em Up jump. : P

I'm assembling a team of local people that seem to be interested in making this happen.

Speaking of flash, you could just create and compile it in flash. There are plenty of websites that have tutorials, and what computer cant play flash?

Oh right, Macs can't

Flash is the suggestion I gave to the team. Of course, a friend of mine, that is very good at programming has a Mac and hates Flash.

So, we'll see what happens with this... I hope people actually help out with this. I fear it'll be a "Yeah, let's do this!" for a week or so and then be forgotten about in less than a month. : \

By the way, I added a summary(?) to the first post.

Id still say Flash would be the way to go. Your programming buddy might have a problem if you decide to use certain engines. Not alot of them are compatible with both Windows and Mac.
